Boycott College GameDay when it comes to AA, Go to Big Noon
In the highly likely event that College GameDay comes to Ann Arbor in 2 weeks, there should be a complete and total boycott from Michigan fans. This is not an original idea of mine, I am borrowing it from a Reddit user zygomanis. This is based on how ESPN has handled "signgate" as they have dubbed it. Also, the sheer fact of the complete garbage Steven A Smith, Paul Finebaum, and Pete Thamel have been spewing. Hell, the only discussion on College Football Final about the game was the panel making fun of Sherrone Moore. I would love to see a barren field at Pioneer where they generally set up, but instead, everybody going to Big Noon. Let's make it a big spectacle. I am posting this now because it generally takes some time for momentum to build on ideas like these and to spread the word. FUCK ESPN!

Better yet, chant expletives the entire time so the show is literally muted for viewers.
November 13th, 2023 at 11:32 AM ^
This is a fantastic idea
November 13th, 2023 at 11:34 AM ^
The show has a slight time delay so bad words can get censored live. Just make it so it’s censored the entire time with expletives, especially when they discuss the team. On the television it’s basically dead noise then.
November 13th, 2023 at 3:09 PM ^
They can’t mute three hours.
November 13th, 2023 at 11:58 AM ^
Didn't read far enough...bad idea deleted.
November 13th, 2023 at 12:44 PM ^
Was it air horns and bear spay? If so I’ll refrain from posting.
November 13th, 2023 at 12:08 PM ^
Go to Big Noon instead of College GameDay. The way that ESPN has been handling the story is "unethical" to borrow Wards message. I think the Big Noon crew has been handling the story with a lot more balanced reporting. Maybe because they are worried about what Woodson might do to them...
November 13th, 2023 at 1:44 PM ^
More likely they're looking at Urbz and thinking how awkward it's gonna be when Michigan puts him on blast for previous violations.
November 13th, 2023 at 11:37 AM ^
No, it doesn't work, they mute out the background when that happens because it's not live, it has a delay. Just don't go. They're not going to show your sign. Seeing a bunch of people behind them is what gives them all the power. Have it empty. If you are there it appears that you are supporting ESPN because people on TV just see you there.
November 13th, 2023 at 11:39 AM ^
Well damn, I saw it happen earlier this year and it was hilarious. Was such a long muted section basically. I agree don’t even go.
November 13th, 2023 at 12:10 PM ^
I approve of your original idea. In addition, if the box is filled with Michigan fans (as it should be), it would be best if they had no signs and just stood there without clapping / waving. Just make the "binocular" sign.
I agree with others that the cooler poopers will show up in force if there aren't any UM fans.
November 13th, 2023 at 1:01 PM ^
If we boycott their setup it will just be filled with OSU fans which is also not a good look. I like your idea of filling up the area with Michigan fans. However I would suggest everyone turn their backs to the TV crew. To hell with ESPN.
November 13th, 2023 at 1:47 PM ^
So true--OSU fans will fill up the crowd background. Our best bet is to go and have our own signs.
I'd love to see big ESPN Sucks signs even if they won't get shown on TV.
November 13th, 2023 at 11:44 AM ^
They can't mute signs
November 13th, 2023 at 11:50 AM ^
It's not going to have the effect you think it's going to have. They're not going to do a close-up of it. You'll maybe see it in passing.
November 13th, 2023 at 12:00 PM ^
They decide if your sign will be allowed...
November 13th, 2023 at 12:08 PM ^
Do they? How do they decide that all of those religious non-football signs are getting in?
November 13th, 2023 at 12:33 PM ^
Are you going to start censoring religion?
November 13th, 2023 at 2:20 PM ^
Yes-in this regard.
Otherwise, AA should ban ESPN from the city on game day...and Michigan should revoke their press passes.
November 13th, 2023 at 2:38 PM ^
This is the way to do it, but do it at the last minute possible. Let them announce on TV that they are going to Ann Arbor. Let them get on planes and then when they are in midair revoke their access to campus. Make it so they can't change locations because they have moved all their equipment to Ann Arbor. Then they can either not have a college game day show or they have to have it ten miles from campus in a Mobil parking lot.
November 13th, 2023 at 2:32 PM ^
Empty background. No Michigan fans. Best idea yet.
I hope the University is still withholding tickets from them. I understand they requested 50.
Don't sell espn any tickets either.

everyone stand off to the side and just blare bullhorns or whatever when someone speaks.
November 13th, 2023 at 12:00 PM ^
November 13th, 2023 at 12:08 PM ^
Fuck Pete Thamel....clap clap clap clap clap
November 13th, 2023 at 12:25 PM ^
soccer horns and megaphone sirens have entered the chat
November 13th, 2023 at 12:26 PM ^
How about holding up signs in the back ground?
November 13th, 2023 at 2:23 PM ^
Nothing would show class like showing up and just tossing a bunch of fuck you and suck my cock outbursts to the airwaves. I'm sure President Ono would be so proud. Not showing up would be sufficient. It's okay to maintain a shred of class
November 13th, 2023 at 9:04 PM ^
Ok, ok. No one shout anything about sucking ashwood35's cock. It's classless.
November 14th, 2023 at 4:24 AM ^
I think everyone should actually crowd into the GameDay Venue. Then as soon as the crowd is on the TV in the background, they should all Boo and walk away showing a mass exodus of Michigan fans and leaving only buckeyes behind. Then ESPN can have their home crowd for the entirety of the show and Fox can have theirs as everyone trickles in to the Big Game Saturday set.
We should also all wear CS facemasks or hold up blank signs, just 1000 white boards and cover the entire background on a "snapcount". But that type of coordination won't happen ...
November 13th, 2023 at 11:32 AM ^
FUCK ESPN
-cosigned, everyone
November 13th, 2023 at 11:56 AM ^
Just continually chant this please.
November 13th, 2023 at 11:32 AM ^
Also, they won't come, because they know how bad it will be for them
November 13th, 2023 at 11:39 AM ^
They'll be there, they can continue to spew their lies at a top five matchup.
November 13th, 2023 at 11:44 AM ^
They are going to be there. It's about TV ratings. There is already speculation that Big Noon Kickoff may have had more viewers than College Gameday this past weekend for the first time ever.

How crazy am I for preferring to listen to Urban Meyer for 3 hours than any of those ESPN Jackwagons?
November 14th, 2023 at 4:25 AM ^
This. I hate Urban with a passion, his face is just infuriating. But with time I agree with you 100% and I cannot explain it.
November 14th, 2023 at 7:15 AM ^
Just remember he’s always bleazed. Dude is a mad stoner these days.
November 13th, 2023 at 12:25 PM ^
I don't think there will be as many osuck fans there this year. For years there's been way too much red in that stadium because they knew they were going to win and it was sickening to see and hear "OH-IO in the corners of the stadium in the 3rd quarter after they had a comfortable lead. After the past 2 years they know they're walking in a mad house against a proven Michigan team.
November 13th, 2023 at 1:14 PM ^
They’ll come. And there should be signs that say
Fox Big Noon >>> ESPN GameDay
November 13th, 2023 at 1:51 PM ^
Great idea! Fox Big Noon rules type signs. Make 'em huge.
November 13th, 2023 at 11:33 AM ^
I’m hopeful that Warde and Santa give them a spot outside of Bursley or Bates.
EDIT - Desmond is welcome to be live via remote at our tailgate.
November 13th, 2023 at 11:47 AM ^
I think the North Campus folk would have some fun out there!
November 13th, 2023 at 12:11 PM ^
Put them in the Briarwood parking lot.
November 13th, 2023 at 12:23 PM ^
Does the university have to allow them to come if they want to? ESPN is no longer a TV partner with the Big Ten, so I don't see any reason why the university should spend the resources it would have to spend to allow them to come and broadcast from campus.
November 13th, 2023 at 1:05 PM ^
I don’t know who is the decider on this; I wouldn’t expect Warde to make any waves, but I don’t get the impression that Santa is afraid of at very least a gentle troll. Tell them that campus property is currently unavailable; there are some open parking lots in Saline you can try.
November 13th, 2023 at 1:27 PM ^
Don't send wretched garbage to Saline. Send it to EL. That's about as close as I would want Gameday.
November 13th, 2023 at 2:13 PM ^
Let them know the Friday before kickoff that they can't set up on University Property.
Because Pete Thamel is an asshole, the University of Michigan has to provide a punishment to ESPN, and that is the game day crew, as they are the face of the NCAA Coverage. I'm just spitballing.
November 13th, 2023 at 2:30 PM ^
Friday, at about 3:30.
November 13th, 2023 at 7:20 PM ^
Whenever the ESPN crew is on the plane headed to AA, that's when to tell them they're banned.
