Read on rivals that there is another covid outbreak at ohio state. Supposedly a star receiver tested positive. Contract traceing is going on now.

I would LOVE it if Desmond went on ESPN and basically said the same thing Herbie did.  "This situation from OSU could be them trying to avoid a loss this weekend knowing that they're already in the top-4 with just 5 games so why risk a loss to Northwestern."

(Okay.....I wouldn't really love it since I'd like to think Desmond has more integrity than to be irresponsible like Herbie....but maybe he can do it tongue-in-cheek to give him a hard time.)

Nope, IU and Purdue jointly announced their games' cancellation this weekend because both schools have covid issues.

Next up in the B1G East would be Maryland,...er, no... Penn State, er, wrong again?... Staee???

Better than that, I'd rather the B1G chooses Iowa as NU's opponent.  Or cancels the Championship Game altogether.

It was talked about on Sirius if they didn't let OSU into the title game the penn state would be the East Rep in the title game because they have won more games than maryland and where the B1G seeded them since Indiana cannot play

SO if OSU cannot go and they are still trying to play whoever is up next that wouldn't be indiana, but Penn fucking state and the trash team they mustered together this year.

Calm down...I just heard that the B1G Conference leadership is going to mandate that all B1G Universities, starting with Michigan, divert their supply of the COVID vaccine that was intended for their hospital staff to be sent to Columbus immediately.  No Ohio players will need to sit out for the B1G Conference Championship nor the BCS playoffs!

Have to love that, despite the nation being in the worst portion of the pandemic yet in terms of cases, hospitalizations, deaths and positivity rates (and Ohio too - I live there and see those numbers every day), that an organization as thoughtful and cautious as the Big Ten is *loosening* their health regulations.

God Bless America.

Good**. I hope they miss the game and the committee is pressured to leave them out because 5-0 with one close victory over a ranked opponent (and the other 4 games against garbage competition) isn't enough data to go off of.

I'm serious. Imagine it's not OSU but Wisconsin with that resume (and having to duck the Big Ten Championship game)...is that enough for them to get it?

I guess my point is fuck Ohio and fuck the special treatment everyone seems to afford them.

**Note I am NOT SAYING it's "good" their players have covid. I of course do not wish any harm on them and hope nobody gets seriously ill. The context here has only to do with the special treatment OSU is always afforded. It's about time for things to NOT go their way for once.

IIf OSU can't go, if they put a shitty Texas A&M team that got boatraced by Bama or an equally shitty Florida in the CFB, they might as well just expand it to 8 teams now cause that is not going to fly with 90% of the country.  Even in this fucked up season, if you have two losses and one of them being to a terrible LSU team you are in no way deserving of a playoff spot
