Ryan Walters is pretty good at producing at CBs. I understand this more than Brooks going to Texas given that all their recent success with CBs is due to Walters

As has been mentioned on this sub before, I think we won the Natty as soon as recruits stopped caring about winning. It's all about NIL and opportunity now. Recruits would much rather get more NIL and a guaranteed starting job than making less NIL and competing for a starting job on one of the best defenses in the country

Hearing fans of schools like OSU, Bama, UGA, etc. talk about us having a tainted or illegitimate Natty as if they haven't been fans of schools that have cheated their way to relevancy for the past 2 decades will never not amuse me. They have zero self awareness

This might be a stupid question, but for the future state of revenue sharing, would every team receive an equal amount of revenue? Or is it distributed by viewership? And from there is it distributed to players evenly?

Feels like a guy like that is gonna go to a bigger name school to get starter minutes then go the draft

I find the Khani Rooths recruitment so odd. On paper, it should be a slam dunk. Rooths was committed to Michigan, his main recruiter at his other finalist just got hired by Michigan, and we have a need at that 3/4 spot. I guess I could see him maybe wanting more NIL, but I feel like being like "hey, we have a lot of one and done seniors on this roster and you'll make up for it next year" is fine way to alleviate that unless he's decided to wait on the bag from some other school

I'm not sure how bringing in Barham would impact freshmen and RS freshmen leaving. Especially since, if the practice reports are true, I don't see how he sticks around after this year

Gotta think either 1 of 2 things is happening:

• Players don't like BJM and/or want to play for someone who actually recruited them
• Cole Sullivan is dominating in practice the point where these guys don't see any point in sticking around

Didn't he grade out extremely well against the run this year? I think it's more just that he didn't put up elite numbers. The Jets just signed him as an UDFA and I think that's a great spot for him. I think if he had come back, this would've been a breakout season for him. He does things that don't show up on the stat sheet, has been on an upward trajectory since his injury, and still has upside. Say what you want about the Jets, but Saleh always gets the best out his DL and develops dudes

Given that we have a need for a big WR and for depth at CB, he kinda feels like an ideal option if he wanted to come back

I don't see any way where Barrett, Henderson, and Jones aren't drafted. Barrett was too productive on the best defense in the country to go undrafted. Henderson was one of the top guards in last years draft then came here, played tackle and didn't perform as well. He projects as an NFL guard. Jones didn't play much, but performed well on the largest stage. I think teams will see upside there

And I think that's very fair and why some people are losing their college fandom a bit. You used to be able to logically follow the depth chart and see who would likely be starting year over year, but now you have to worry about tampering, players maybe not being satisfied with their NIL, players seeking even slightly more playing time, etc. and it's just hard to be mentally invested

I know people are on edge right now before the deadline, but the Beasley and Herring entrances aren't that concerning imo. We see transfers like this every season. Waller sucks though

Kentucky has their NIL game humming because they had infrastructure already in place to pay players in basketball prior to NIL

They are getting NIL. They’re getting tampered with and demanding more money

Heavy tampering, insane NIL offers, and rostered guys asking for more money 

If it’s due to coaching change or seeing a long way to playing time, then fine. Hopefully the NIL rumors floating around aren’t true 

Complaining about NIL when he hasn't even won the starting job or seen meaningful snaps is... something. But if that was such a big deal for him even after we were his best offer, he won a Natty his freshman year, and he was in the mix to start this year, then good riddance. He easily would've gotten that NIL this year if he continued how he's been playing

If a Missouri kid has Mizzou in his final schools, he's probably going there at this point. The state of Missouri has pretty blatantly unconstitutional NIL laws in place to keep players in state

By this logic, Michigan should immediately have any and all punishment from the Stalions scandal dropped since the NCAA is implementing helmet coms and we know that won't happen

So will the NCAA repeal our punishments once they implement helmet comms? Because to me, once you start repealing punishments from the past due to recent rules implementations, that's a slippery slope

I've noticed with Bama in football as well, but it's odd to me that for both Bama and UK, two perennial recruiting powers in their sports who lost their famous head coaches, that recruits have seemingly forgotten that Saban and Calipari aren't there anymore? Like are their brands that good that recruits don't care?
