Interesting that the best team in college basketball sees something in a middling player on the worst team in college basketball. Says somethingā¦not sure what.
Found my self laughing at loud at parts. With a reminiscence to the chuckle, of course. He was odd, he will be missed, he is my second-favorite coach in the NFL now.
Same: āWhen Brian's voice cracked when he said your name during the emotional fourth segment of the MGoPodcast, I felt the hair on my arms stand up and perhaps my eyes got a bit misty.ā
So glad to see this. I live for this blog and podcast, and itās been absolutely amazing this past couple of years. But it simply will never be the same as it was when Ace was here and on top of his game. I think Seth and Dave and Alex do an amazing job (Alex, you are killing it, young man!), but there was a certain mojo that existed between Brian and Ace that canāt be replicated. I followed him to future endeavors, but without Batman, Robin wasnāt quite the same either. Who knows what the future holds, but for nowā¦this was a nice portal into the past. And another reason to celebrate the present. Welcome back, Ace.
They are poorly coached. The roster makeup has not been good. The defense is laughable. The offense is nonsensical in high-leverage possessions. The culture is non-existent. All of this points directly to the HC. Itās time.
And for those under 50, āElectric Boogalooā was the ridiculous subtitle to the ridiculous sequel to the ridiculous original that was the movie āBreakinā.ā It has since been adopted by Gen-X to represent anything that reprises anything that shouldāve never been done in the first place.
āWhile under NCAA bylaws head coaches are presumed responsible for a staff memberās actions, the Big Ten sportsmanship policy does not feature such a clause.
The policy holds āinstitutions,ā not head coaches, as āresponsible for, and therefore, may be held accountable for, the actions of its employees, coaches, student-athletes, band, spirit squads, mascot(s), general student body and any other individual or group of individuals over whom or which it maintains some level of authority.ā

Give themselves a much-deserved bonus.
Thought the same. Oh well. No place for Hero Ball on this new squad.
I know itās pure conjecture and still unlikely, but thatās not a bad roster in year 1. We could do some damage with that personnel.
This is going to be so epic, and something I will keep and cherish forever. Easiest decision Iāve ever made to support this. Great job, guys.
Those are some mighty forceful handoffs.
And to think, someone called my Searchbits post from yesterday ābad timing.ā š¤
Duh. I should know this. ĀÆ\_(ć)_/ĀÆ
thx
Run Game Coordinator? Does that mean anything for Hart?
Unfortunately, the basketball wasnāt any better. We just happened to win. Almost losing by an all too familiar script.
*MGobituary. That should catch on.
Somehow, this managed to be a good piece worth reading. Pretty sneaky, Seth.

Seems like a pretty easy thing to check.
Yup. Yes, they have done this.
No question this is it. David slayed Goliath that day. Then became Goliath the day after that.

I have the 30-minute Joel Klatt show in my viewing queue.
He has quickly and quietly become one of the best game film analysts out there. Bet.
Too old and too young too.
Someone sent me a copy-and-pasted line from a UFR and I had to know where it came from.
Thank you. And BET.
Exact same here. I remember thinking we need a beacon of hope, and he was the only one that could muster it. Will miss him.

Just re-read the game previewā¦pretty much how it played out.
so worth it
We kid, but I think Keith Jackson died pulling something like this.
Actually true in this case. Title alone should be a Diary.
Isnāt this that?
