I will post some juicy insider news here as soon as I retrieve my forgotten Twitter password.
January 4th, 2021 at 3:45 PM ^
Coach Howard is surpassing my expectations (to date)!
January 4th, 2021 at 3:46 PM ^
Jim Harbaugh please leave. I want to enjoy Michigan football again. Thanks.
January 4th, 2021 at 3:53 PM ^
Definitely. It’ll be great to get back to the level of success of the Hoke/Rodriguez years.
January 4th, 2021 at 3:55 PM ^
Get back to? I think we're there right now.
January 4th, 2021 at 3:57 PM ^
Lol Michigan went 2-4 and was a missed field goal away from losing to Rutgers.
January 4th, 2021 at 5:33 PM ^
The Harbaugh apologists are claiming his year doesn't really count. Harbaugh gets a do-over! Does this mean if OSU wins the National Championship we can say.. "no you didn't, doesn't really count"... lol
January 4th, 2021 at 6:24 PM ^
You absolutely can. Covid sports is bullshit, that's why the ratings are terrible. Nothing that happens in these contrived, made-for-tv contracts seasons belong in any stats or record books.
But, if I can have it both ways, 2-4 and almost losing to Rutgers is grounds for dismissal.
January 4th, 2021 at 4:01 PM ^
For some of us older folk the early Carr, Moeller, and Bo years were fun and mostly successful. Plenty of headaches as well, but nothing like the continued frustrations starting in the late Carr years and continuing through the Harbaugh tenure.
I don't expect 11-1 or 12-0 every year like Alabama, OSU, Clemson etc as of late. It would be nice to get to a consistent 10-2 without being repeatedly disappointed seeing questionable game plans and personnel moves which don't make sense.
Please, just general competency with a 10-2 record and winning at least 25% of the time vs. OSU would be a really nice start.
January 4th, 2021 at 4:14 PM ^
If you take osu out of the equation, that's what Harbaugh has given you.
January 4th, 2021 at 4:53 PM ^
Harbaugh's winning percentage (.690) is below average for Michigan coaches since WW2 (.707), and is far worse than Bo (.796), Mo (.758), and LLoyd (.753).
January 4th, 2021 at 5:21 PM ^
NO, name a good road win, name an upset win, what about dominating MSU, what about roster management?
January 4th, 2021 at 6:16 PM ^
In what world would a Michigan coach "take OSU out of the equation"?
January 4th, 2021 at 8:10 PM ^
Exactly, parts of this fanbase thinks we should NEVER expect to beat them ever again as they have turned into a pro team. We have had 3 bad to mediocre coaches back-to-back-to-back and that we should be only happy to an "Iowa" level of success from now on. Fine, in that case do not pay your coach $8 million a year and be happy with an 8-4 / 9-3 record every year.
January 4th, 2021 at 9:17 PM ^
I know your posting history in support of Harbaugh so I’m not going to waste time laying out arguments, but we have very different ideas of what “general competence”, “sounds game plans”, and “effective personnel” is.
Every season under Harbaugh, except his first, has featured some form of disfunction in some aspect of the team for a good chunk of the season or the whole season. It’s fairly remarkable the number of issues he has rotated through.
January 4th, 2021 at 9:19 PM ^
This is a horrible take. As pointed out, this is not what he has given us.
As far as what he is giving us, we have 29-17 since the 2016 OSU game and 11-9 since the 2018 OSU game. He should not be retained.
January 4th, 2021 at 4:20 PM ^
I expect them to go undefeated every year until the OSU game, based off of recruiting this should not be an issue
January 4th, 2021 at 5:30 PM ^
Matt Campbells peak is still below your floor. I don't think we realize no coach with that resume is coming through our doors and actually they will have to make a big jump to get there in a tougher conference and division to get there. That's a tall task.
January 4th, 2021 at 6:27 PM ^
That's why you have to go full football factory. Hopefully NIL will provide the brass an opportunity to sack up and buy some croots.
January 4th, 2021 at 7:05 PM ^
How is this gonna help when so many on here are quick to point out academics? NIL doesn't mean anything when "we actually make our kids go to class".
January 5th, 2021 at 3:56 PM ^
I travel around different boards and whenever I see the "academics" and "do things the right way" BS, I know that team is getting their asses kicked and is subpar. Just a total copout. We recruit - well we try - the same kids as OSU and Alabama. The problem is they usually have no interest in our academic bastion
January 5th, 2021 at 7:17 PM ^
I thought the phrase "go full football factory" was self-explanatory in terms of how academics fits in.
January 4th, 2021 at 4:18 PM ^
Yes because there's no alternative to Rodriguez/Hoke level and Harbaugh level. Automatically either or.
January 4th, 2021 at 5:10 PM ^
Definitely. It’ll be great to get back to the level of success of the Hoke/[snip] years.
Some of JH's best success was with Hoke's kids.
January 4th, 2021 at 6:27 PM ^
All* of JH's best success was with Hoke's kids. FIFY.
January 4th, 2021 at 9:31 PM ^
Seems pretty much Hoke/Rod level stuff going on right now.
Or do you not watch the games?
January 4th, 2021 at 3:56 PM ^
What the fuck is Black Monday and what is this jabroni making all these threads for.
January 4th, 2021 at 4:01 PM ^
Black Monday is the day after the NFL season ends and head coaches get axed. It’s also the day many thought we’d hear news about Harbaugh - hence the dozen threads from other jabronis about “insider” information today.
January 4th, 2021 at 4:13 PM ^
If involves NFL coaches, it should be called White Monday.
January 4th, 2021 at 4:20 PM ^
Jabronis left and right today.
January 4th, 2021 at 4:23 PM ^
What's a Jabroni?
January 4th, 2021 at 4:28 PM ^
Term mostly used in old-school professional wrestling (UFR - by the Iron Sheik). Or at least that's where I've mostly heard it. Used to denigrate one's rivals along the lines of hack, loser, stiff, chump, spartan, etc.
January 4th, 2021 at 6:33 PM ^
I thought the wrestling move was called Gazoni?
January 4th, 2021 at 4:03 PM ^
Fire him too.
January 4th, 2021 at 4:20 PM ^
All anybody had to do is watch some bowl games and see how poorly we are coached.
January 4th, 2021 at 4:20 PM ^
With his NFL search, Harbaugh is making the football team look like his distant second priority and Warde is letting him do it, to the detriment of UM's entire football program. Even if Harbaugh agrees to an extension, no remotely intelligent recruit who seeks program stabiility will come here. I'm really praying he gets offered the Chargers or Texas job and walks. In the long run, UM will be so much better off.
January 4th, 2021 at 4:37 PM ^
I mean Warde is letting him test the NFL so he doesn’t have to pay the buyout. It’s the smart play.
January 4th, 2021 at 7:45 PM ^
He's not paying the buyout either way. Either JH decides to come back and signs his contract, or he decides to take an NFL position.

Last Harbaugh tweet today (unless news breaks) The more and more info that comes out, the more and more it appears that Michigan is Harbaugh’s fall back plan. If that’s the case, I have no idea why any fan would want him back.
January 4th, 2021 at 4:58 PM ^
Is this the Twitter account for the cashier at Campus Corner? An even better source than Counter-Strike with a birds eye view of Schembechler Hall from its perch on State Street. I hear Harbaugh grabs a handle of Mohawk Vodka on his way home from time to time.
January 4th, 2021 at 4:59 PM ^
Totally agree.
It doesn’t sound like we have any backup plan if he leaves.
January 4th, 2021 at 5:31 PM ^
Umm... the backup plan is him staying.
January 4th, 2021 at 5:36 PM ^
I’m just sick and tired of all the game playing with both Manuel and Harbaugh. Sign the contract because you really want to be here or leave. Tell Harbaugh to get off his high horse and sign or leave. Either way this is BS that this is going on. Harbaugh is not loved as much as he thinks he is.
January 4th, 2021 at 9:12 PM ^
Did Harbaugh agree to the terms of the extension or is it a take it or leave it type of offer? What are the chances this delay is just a negotiating tactic by Harbaugh? If the extension is a pay cut with incentives, Harbaugh might be offended by the offer and is waiting to be contacted by some nfl teams just to gain some leverage. It’s possible, right? He might still be committed to Michigan but doesn’t feel like they are committed to him with the pay cut and small buyout.
