OT - Coachella / Holographic Tupac
Lots of buzz this morning about the Dre / Snoop / each and every West Coast rapper of all time performance at Coachella that included a holographic Tupac.
Was anyone there? I would like to get word from the community about whether it was more "awesome" or "creepy". Did it look as good as it seems on youtube?

I was stressing out wondering where the hell I was getting Google chatted from all through watching that video.
Looked pretty sweet. Would have loved to see it in person.
Holograms are really quite standard... at least where I'm from

I like this trend of people acting as their usernames...there was someone named "Blueto" on the Mascot Panic Thread who said "this was worse than when the Germans bombed Pearl Harbor," among other jokes.
Maybe when we're all bored over the summer because there are no Michigan sports going on, we can have a thread where everyone has to act as their username/avatar. It could potentially be hilarious.

If I could, I would laugh heartily at your signature.
I don't know, I think there's an inherent creepiness factor, regardless of how well it's executed. Maybe I'm in the minority, though, seeing as I've seen mostly positive responses to it.
Man, he hasn't aged a bit in all these years. And he lost some tats... weird.
I KNEW HE WAS ALIVE

Kind of cool

...when I saw that. I was about half way up with my friends at the show when it popped up, an we all weren't sure whether to cheer or take a knee to have a memorial. It was definitely a creative way to pay tribute and to set their show apart from the other acts during a somewhat disappointing line up for Coachella's standards.

I fell asleep last night and missed the set? I looked on the Coachella youtube page and they didn't have it.
Video quality is just ok, but appears to be the broadcast version so it gets the job done.
Spoiler alert: after Hail Mary, Snoop does America's Most Wanted with the Pac hologram. It's bad ass

"I'd never my name on a track wasn't mine..." Dj Quik
But what does producing have to do with making solo albums?
That made no sense whatsoever.
You know Dr. Dre produces beats right? So when he creates solo albums. Those beats on that album, were produced by him. Thing is, during each 10 year hiatus he manages to produce VERY little to keep himself relevant. Unlike more deticated producers like Madlib, and the guy in my profile picture, who put out solo albums with regularity.
I'm not saying he's garbage. I agree he's a legend. There's just so much hype behind the guy, and no one notices his albums all sound the same even though they were all created in different decades. Call me crazy, but I believe artists should progress and evolve.

I am going this weekend. Will try and get some MGoContent.
15 years gone and he STILL has great abs.
The whole thing is a bit strange. When Dre left Death Row the relations between he and Tupac were less than ideal to put it mildly. . . Odd to read that Dre was the driving force behind this, strange how death/time changes feelings (no judgment).
Watching him paint "Happy Trees" would be epic.
