really thought this team had promise when it was being built, but without suh to anchor the D and with stafford's progression as a qb rapidly plateauing at a barely-above average level, this team just needs to be imploded and tried again.

I realize I am biased because Ameer Abdullah is on my fantasy team, but why can't they give him the freaking ball. Caldwell is the second best NFL coach in Michigan named Jim.

This looks like a 6-10 team this year. The O-Line can't protect Stafford or get a running game going, and the Defense isn't there to bail them out. This is going to be a LONG season.

SOL look horrible. The speed of the Denver defense is completely overwhelming the Detroit O-line. The only hope for Detroit is to keep their defense from not having to be on the field most of the time but this is looking like a long ugly 3 and out kind of night.

The Lions line was actually good under Linehan, but under Lombardi and Caldwell it has collapsed. I think it's a matter of poor coaching and scheme for the players because these guys were a good line when Schwartz was the coach.

If Stafford does go down, this is really going to get ugly. All we've got is Orlovsky, and no #3.
