It was hard not to laugh as Michigan got to the spot before the FSU player could get there.  Michigan knew where FSU wanted to go for their shots and would NOT let them get there.  FSU hit bombs when left open but Michigan would not leave them open.  Wonderful.

I mean, Michigan's offense was cold in the first half, and that still happened.

Okay, everyone shoot me, but I admit I was nervous the whole game until about five minutes left (well, three minutes left, if you want to know the embarrassing truth). But then I always am nervous, every game, and the bigger the stakes, the more nervous I get. 

But what a tremendous performance. And despite the iffy shooting in the first half, they finished at 49% for the GAME. 

They totally trounced an excellent team. Just an incredible performance.

And to top it off, they won by the same margin as Gonzaga, and against a better team. (Not that comparative scores mean anything, but it sure can make you feel good.)

Brad Underwood and Illinois just proclaimed themselves an Elite Eight team!

UM had the lead the whole game. Was up by 23 with 4 minutes left. Damn shame Michigan is on the same side of the bracket as Gonzaga. They are the two best teams in college basketball, but cant meet in the finals. Can only meet in the semi-finals.  Grrrrr.

Franz Wagner is a freakin' jedi. He sees things before they happen. He's always one step ahead of everyone else on the court. He's a guaranteed NBA lottery pick in a few months.

Is there a chance UM is somehow better with Livers, due to Johns and Chauncey getting more minutes?  I dont think so, but it's worth a discussion.
