Boycott College GameDay when it comes to AA, Go to Big Noon

Submitted by the Glove on November 13th, 2023 at 11:30 AM

In the highly likely event that College GameDay comes to Ann Arbor in 2 weeks, there should be a complete and total boycott from Michigan fans. This is not an original idea of mine, I am borrowing it from a Reddit user zygomanis. This is based on how ESPN has handled "signgate" as they have dubbed it. Also, the sheer fact of the complete garbage Steven A Smith, Paul Finebaum, and Pete Thamel have been spewing. Hell, the only discussion on College Football Final about the game was the panel making fun of Sherrone Moore. I would love to see a barren field at Pioneer where they generally set up, but instead, everybody going to Big Noon. Let's make it a big spectacle. I am posting this now because it generally takes some time for momentum to build on ideas like these and to spread the word. FUCK ESPN!

OK, let it be all the bucknut assholes at GameDay.,  Personally, UM should not allow them to come onto our property at all. Refuse all ticket requests. All press credentials as well.

Is there some crazy annoying high pitched sound that can be downloaded to your phone (think of when everyone's cell phone goes off at the same time with an Amber Alert).  I'd love to see everyone there turn their backs to the stage/cameras and play the most annoying sound possible on their phones every time anyone other than Des speaks

I say, welcome them...give them their tickets, whatever, let them get to town and get started setting up, then block off all the streets and access to wherever they are located and completely isolate them so nobody can show up.

They'll have no choice but to go on air with nobody in the background at all, just empty space, perhaps at that point erect a large sign, or signs, with (tasteful) items like:

  • The names of the schools where there is evidence of sign stealing and collusion to share them.....labeled as "player endangerers", include Michigan in that list.
  • Similar to above, but just the un-redacted spreadsheet of the signs that were provided by multiple teams to Purdue prior to the BTC game last year, labeled the same way
  • Once showing Thamel's post about Harbaugh's suspension, highlighting the 30 minute time difference before they even notified Michigan and a symbol that shows how this is "orchestrated" behind the scenes.
  • Maybe another Thamel sign that depicts the date 3 weeks ago that he was provided the evidence/spreadsheet of the 3-4 schools that colluded to steal and share Michigan's signs prior to the BTC game and the date he (never) addressed it/buried it as not fitting his narrative/orders, and the late date and minimal way ESPN addressed it/tried to bury it
  • If substantial enough, whatever evidence there is of a link between OSU/Day, the PI group that started the whole thing and the initial media storm/calls for investigation.
  • Anything that shows how unprecedented and rash the B1G punishment was, perhaps Petitti in a chicken suit?

Others?

When they protest and threaten legal action, smile and point them to the Washtenaw County Courthouse while casually mentioning it is closed on Saturday.

They can and will mute obscenities. They won't let you have an unapproved sign. They will remove you for flipping the bird. If UM fans don't show up, there will just be OSU fans. So just have as many people as possible wear Jim Harbaugh masks and make as little sound as possible. Just make it as weird as possible.

Perhaps the university should send a letter to disney telling them they are not welcome. I imagine you need permits to set up something of that nature. Local government should deny the permits. To hell with a boycott. Just don’t allow them in AA.
