Recruiting impact if Schiano becomes Pats DC?

Submitted by Caesar on

Looks like there's at least some smoke about Schiano to the Pats (link). I've also read he has a good relationship with Bill Belichick, which helps explain all the Rutgers guys drafted by the Pats.

Anyway, if Schiano goes, does this help Michigan with any recruitments? I'm specifically looking at Tyler Friday.

Hell, speaking of ham sandwiches, don't forget that I'm waiting to drop the photos leaked of Urban in his whitey tighties calling recruits eating off a stacked plate of those said similar ham sandwiches. Don't ask how I got them.

Hi I'm glad someone else sees that. The dude is clearly cool guy and whoever else, oh he's julian so that means he is like 15 accounts. Tampa 2 is a coverage asshat, not associated with your dumbass orlando2 acct. This guy is weird and desperate. Was that an attempt to say that i am you? If so, horrible effort.

Seriously? A dude just happens to say my name after one of his other accounts is called out and you guys believe him. Furthermore, with an account that hasn't posted? This guy is mb11 and you are that blind to see it? No one says their name in a post, that is seriously some of the dumbest shit i have ever seen if anyone believes for a second that guy is me. Mods can look what part of country i am posting from and i guarantee it is not he same as any of his accounts. Those would be julian, indy pete go blue, this new ute bs, any mb11 variation, supa hot fire and many more. This psycho is pissed cause his orlando 2 account went down in flames and he thinks my account was created to make fun of him. No one lol would say their name in a post. Omg you guys are so damn gullible.

Won't help with Friday because his contact is Larry Johnson.

It will probably hurt OSU with Petit-Frere who is visiting this weekend. Schiano is his dude. Idk if it will severely hurt OSU's chances, but Schiano is definitely the assistant that NPF is closest with.

It'd be nice if NPF's guys at the other midwest schools - ND's OL coach and OSU's Schiano - both split for the NFL...and in Ann Arbor sat steady Drev. The only one you can count on lol.

¯\_(ツ)_/¯ I'm going to guess that it comes down to ND and us for NPF, but what can we (literally we, on this board) do? Just gotta wait and hope for the best. However, it would be poetic justice if OSU turned Friday via negative recruiting, saying Partridge was going to leave, and then OSU pushed an even bigger fish to us by actually having a coach leave.

There's whispers that the southern schools are out actually and it's UM, ND, and OSU. Given how long it took him to get to OSU and Schiano leaving I'm thinking they'd have the lowest chances of the three.

However, of his top five, if he doesn't sign with Michigan, Florida would be my second choice for him. Hate to see him as a Buckeye, Domer, or Bama boy.

There hasn’t been a lot of buzz for him going to ANY school. The kid has remained quiet the entire process. Just about every crystal ball prediction for him is just a shot in the dark. Some of the top guys have said that they have no clue, so they’re predicting Florida for the simple fact that they’re the local school

Friday's coach at DB is an OSU guy and buddies with Schiano, and he hates Partridge. Most coaches in NJ have negative feelings about Partridge because they think he recruited kids to PC. So there is a NJ connection there with Schiano, but OSU's DL coach is Friday's recruiter and he is probably OSU's best recruiter. All their guys rave about him.

Meyer is the engine that makes that whole machine go. As long as he’s there he could cycle through different coordinators every single year and it would make no difference.

Until he leaves, we’re fighting an uphill battle to keep up with him in just about anything.

Woulda. Coulda. Shoulda. As my good friend Matt Foley would say, that and a nickel will get you a hot cup of jack squat.

Doesn’t matter what could’ve happened. We lost. History only remembers what the scoreboard says. And the scoreboard has beaten us down badly the last 15 years.

But it seems that Larry Johnson is their biggest asset with several big time recruits. Like it or not, he's viewed as the top DL coach in the country right now and it's paying dividends on the recruiting trail
