Jedd Fisch’in UCLA
Good shit, Jedd.
Hope we all enjoyed college football while it lasted.
I don’t know what this thing is turning into…

I need an adult mod…

You could say that all over again.
February 11th, 2024 at 11:49 PM ^
An Arizona writer reporting on a Washington coach interviewing at UCLA. Seems airtight.
February 12th, 2024 at 6:46 AM ^
Very likely a heck of a lot more reliable than a Washington reporter reporting on a former Arizona coach interviewing at UCLA, in all reality.

Go Fisch

Fire the Udub Warde

Is his name Marde like the Mario/Wario thing? Is he slim and hard-working?
February 12th, 2024 at 3:52 AM ^
Luscious long locks and looks nothing like Brady Hoke at his heaviest
February 12th, 2024 at 9:29 AM ^
Would it be pronounced like "moar'd" Marde Wanuel

Nice way to close the door. Slammin Jammin

This is Jedd Fisch's way of operating. He's a job-hopper. If he lasts 2 seasons at Washington I'll be shocked. He's always looking for the next best thing.
Saw it when he was here, saw it in the NFL before he got here, saw it after he left. He's like Mo Linguist in that regard.
He's a great coach and an excellent offensive mind, but Washington needs to have a list of replacements lined up right now. He's not going to stay.

So if things go sideways here, we should be able to pull him over from WA in a few years.
February 12th, 2024 at 10:08 AM ^
He wouldn't stay at Michigan either. He'd move up to the NFL the first chance he got.
February 12th, 2024 at 10:52 AM ^
Right after he wins a championship. We know the drill.
February 12th, 2024 at 11:00 AM ^
In honesty, it makes more sense that he interviewed with UCLA, as he was already the OC and interim head coach there in 2017. People hop around when trying to move up, I venture to say that's more of the norm than staying put, though interviewing for another job one month into your new job does appear to be Tennessee-era-Lane-Kiffen-esque.
February 12th, 2024 at 2:19 PM ^
Or Mo Linguist-esque.
February 12th, 2024 at 4:59 PM ^
Wow, PK Yonge Developmental Research School really dropped off after he left.
February 12th, 2024 at 12:15 AM ^
He is not going anywhere. He would have to reimburse UW for all the visors they already purchased.

Penix had a visor
Penix had a visor
Penix had a viiiiiiissssooorrr
Sorry, got trapped listening to The Eagles man
How could The Dude not like The Eagles man? He banged on the roof for CCR, but he hates The Eagles? And he's from California? I didn't even know that was possible..
February 12th, 2024 at 9:35 AM ^
Hey mate. You been in that tunnel long? Are you all alone?
February 12th, 2024 at 2:49 PM ^
The reasons for his disdain should be self-evident.
February 12th, 2024 at 12:16 AM ^
That looks like a random tweet, not a report.
I understand it's from some Arizona insider or something or other. But he's not even citing "sources."
I'm ignoring this for now.
February 12th, 2024 at 12:19 AM ^
But if it’s posted a third time, can you continue to ignore it?
February 12th, 2024 at 9:21 AM ^
Is the Candyman going to appear now?
February 12th, 2024 at 12:31 AM ^
I heard that Warde Manuel bought a bunch of exotic fish using money that was earmarked for the defensive coordinator's salary and then they all died because he forgot to feed them.
February 12th, 2024 at 12:41 AM ^
Seems plausible.
February 12th, 2024 at 1:21 AM ^
I'm guessing these twin vague, unmarked OT posts are the product of Super Bowl booze.
February 12th, 2024 at 10:00 AM ^
Hey I take pride in being conceived after a couple Super Bowl malt liquor 40s, these OT brethren shouldn't feel too bad.
February 12th, 2024 at 5:51 AM ^
Record number of coaches jumping ship after barely landing on the ship they jumped from.
If this goes through, then I feel a lot of sympathy for Washington. They are trying to do everything by the books, but no one is staying with them. Recruiting there is fragile, and their sources to be a constant playoff contender are not there, either.
February 12th, 2024 at 7:40 AM ^
Serious question because maybe I’m dumb, but is UCLA a better job than Washington? Seems lateral at best. Worse color combo at the very least.
February 12th, 2024 at 8:19 AM ^
UW >>>>>>>>>> UCLA.
- Good fan base
- Great, on campus stadium
- Better financial resources
- Greater history of winning
Someone may prefer LA to Seattle but UW is the better job.
February 14th, 2024 at 2:01 PM ^
Even with all the problems UCLA has, they are in a recruiting hotbed and can still pull high-end recruits. If a competent coach ever gets into that program, watch out.
February 12th, 2024 at 8:19 AM ^
the dubya doesn't stand for weather
February 12th, 2024 at 8:21 AM ^
Better weather in LA?
February 12th, 2024 at 8:29 AM ^
I'd imagine the fans in Seattle are better (care more) than the ones in LA. But LA is a fertile recruiting ground.
Given the new conference alignment I think both get a boost in the B1G However many it is now. But if I'm a head coach I'd rather be at UCLA, if only for the recruiting.
February 12th, 2024 at 10:17 AM ^
You don't like UCLA's colors? Madness.
But the lack of an on-campus stadium is a big problem for them.
February 12th, 2024 at 7:49 AM ^
FWIW Fisch told Feldman this didn't happen and there was no conversation with UCLA

February 12th, 2024 at 9:29 AM ^
But I mean, some guy from Wildcats Beat "trust me bro'd" about Fisch making, at best, a lateral move so let's just agree to disagree.
February 12th, 2024 at 10:18 AM ^
Granted, what would you expect Fisch to say even if he did interview? Most guys aren't as open about these things as Harbaugh.
February 12th, 2024 at 8:05 AM ^
Hope we all enjoyed college football while it lasted.
Yes, college football is forever destroyed because a reporter got something wrong about Washington's coach interviewing at UCLA.
OP, what the fuck are you even talking about?
February 12th, 2024 at 8:39 AM ^
I assume it is referencing coaches taking a job and then leaving for another job before they even coach a single down. The rate of player and coach movement in CFB is crazy and seems to be accelerating, but an incorrectly reported story is not the best example.
February 12th, 2024 at 10:56 AM ^
I agree that coach and player movement is accelerating, but don't think it's the "end of college football" or whatever dumb narrative OP was trying to push. No one here was complaining about college football being ruined when we transferred in AJ Barner, Josh Wallace, Josaiah Stewart, etc. Similarly, no one is bitching in the thread about us stealing Wisconsin's DL coach.
When players and coaches come to Michigan, it's the best thing ever. When players and coaches transfer to other schools, it means the world is ending as we know it.
