I hope NCAA 25 doesn't suffer the same fate as Cyberpunk on launch. Currently I see no possible way it's going to live up to the expectations. Hopefully this returns EA to releasing great games instead of shit games with exclusive licenses.

The NLI is a voluntary program with regard to both institutions and student-athletes. No prospective student-athlete or parent is required to sign the NLI and no institution is required to join the program.
Never sign a binding contract that is not mandatory! Also, if they won't release him, then Michigan can just leave the program, and there is no penalty.
Now, do you want a real big laugh? The primary reason for national letters of intent is to prevent other schools from recruiting that player after it's signed.
An important provision of the NLI program is a recruiting prohibition applied after a prospective student-athlete signs the NLI. This prohibition requires member institutions to cease recruitment of a prospective student-athlete once an NLI is signed with another institution.

They did all they could to fix the talent issue. Fortunately for us, they had an entitlement issue, which means you are right. They did nothing to fix the problem.
Ohio State's issue is most of the time, they can just go out and beat teams with athleticism alone. It's when they have to actually out-coach, out-hit, and outplay a team they get beat.
Congratulations, my middle child graduates this weekend. For our family, seeing her walk and get her diploma is something we missed out on when she graduated high school (COVID). Super proud of her and can't wait.
They are in win now mode, which for every single Lions fan is all new territory. Which makes it hard for me to judge how good it was. Previously they needed almost everything. This year they needed to do something about the secondary and did just that so I'll give it an A-.

Thankfully, Coach Harbaugh stepped up and finally did the right thing, inviting him back to be captain for the Penn State game.
I'd buy this concept if TV networks and Universities are not making billions of dollars. But, they are making billions, and there's nothing fair about not allowing the people generating that money to profit. There wasn't anything then or now that makes that ok.

They declared him ineligible for accepting "improper benefits". Whether he paid taxes or not has nothing to do with the NCAA or the Heisman Trust.

They absolutely need to hang them back up, and while they are at it, hang another banner up recognizing the Fab Five to go with the other numbers hanging in the rafters.
