yeah ill take a little light all day long from true frosh as long as hes got the quicks and agility - and it looks like hes not only quick but also has decent long speed.  plus canteen appears to be one of those dudes who wont gain more than several pounds per year during his career - and the nfl has scores of 6'0" or 6'1" guys below 200 lbs.  as many have said, much needed addition to WR room, especially as his skill set differs greatly from statue WRs in 2013 class.  not many 6'4" WRs turn into calvin or keyshawn johnson or julio jones or braylon edwards - so while i think harris and ways will both be players, its nice to see coaches recognize need for speed and different skill sets and set aside the apparent preference for prototypical height/weight players.  real excited to see that kid this fall

I'll summarize it for you and the other guys who cant see it.

Starts out with a few interviews, shots of guys running through various drills and lots of camera work on the QBs & O - line.

Ends with Kate Upton completely nude singing The Victors.

That was surprisingly (and refreshingly) honest. Yes, the offensive line had problems last year, so we're going to mention it and not pretend it didn't. Yes, everyone wants to see Peppers in a 'M' uniform so we're to show him and not try to treat everyone equally by showing some walk-on freshman (no offense to the walk-on freshmen).

Lightning! It was lightning for all you fools bitching yesterday in the picture thread about "boo hoo, why are they inside on a perfectly beautiful day, whaaaaaa".  You think Hoke would be practicing inside on the very first day of practice if being outside was an option?? Cumong man!!

Jesus it's good to have football actually back.  I know the dark years (08-09) where we didnt have a bowl were actually longer but man did this offseason seem to take forever to go away.  I am so, so ready for Michigan to start looking like the Michigan team I remember and I really think this is the year it starts to happen.

I had been calling for 9-3 with losses to all of our road rivals but I think I'm going to up that number to 10-2 with at least one win over the big three.  Not sure which one but I think this is the year we turn the corner and win one.

After reading Bry Mac's (I think it was him) preview in HTTVs I feel a lot bette about ND. They lost a decent amount on both sides of the ball. Their linebacking core has Jalen Smith coming back and guys who couldn't push out medocre seniors. Not to mention their new DC doesn't seem to inspire confidences. It just seems like a good matchup for us.

And yeah, their defensive front seven is in line for some serious regression. I'd expect a LOT of inside zone against them until the safeties have to come down. They have a lot of talent offensively, but the quarterback situation is still iffy. Brian Kelly is insisting that Malik Zaire is pushing for a starting spot.

Shell shock from the end of last season probably. And it's not out of the realm of possibility. Kelly can generate a certain amount of offense with his schemes, and even with a regression in ND's front seven, will UM be able to take advantage? And it's on the road...which has not been good for UM.

UM does not exactly have the best road record against ranked teams the past few years.  I think it's pretty clear why most "experts" don't expect UM to win this game.

That's true, but at some point the momentum will shift.

I thought the same thing watching #BTNLive last night.  One of their poll questions was "Which team do you think will win the Big Ten Championship?"  The choices were OSU, MSU, Wisconsin, Iowa, and "other."  My wife commented about us being an "other" and I guess my point is--we will be an "other"....until we aren't.

At some point the experts become wrong and end up just observing & commenting on current events.  In which case the media meme will be "a resurgent Michigan team......."
