There was something posted on Michigan Rivals board that said to "stay tuned" today.. who knows what it is.. I'm hoping for a change in leadership.

I saw the Jeff Moss retweet by someone on Twitter as well. I came here hoping for positive confirmation. 2-1/2 hours of nonproductivity, here we go!

Last day of the week.  Last day of the month.  Halloween.  Time for the University to put a big lump of coal in David Brandon's trick or treat bag.

Actually guys, I have a connection to a Freep writer -- UM press conference at 1pm!

Haven't seen it anywhere but I work with his wife and she just sent me an e-mail titled, "UofM press conference at 1"

Haven't seen this confirmed anywhere but take that for what it's worth

I would love for this to be true, but I can't help but feel skeptical. It seems like this would be a pretty abrupt announcement. Obviously, there has been a steady lead up to his firing/resignation, but I feel like there would be a little more build up from the rumor mill before he actually stepped down.

Side note: I wonder how this affects Brandon's future career ambitions. I assume his days as an AD are done, but that doesn't really mean anything given his background. Would his rampant mismanagement, public gaffes, and horrific public persona keep him from landing another corporate job (probably not) or sink any political ambitions (I would think so, at least until he can mount a kind of image re-hab)?

I suggest you find a new buckle to buckle up.
