Amen to that! One of my biggest complaints about college is that it’s turned into a perverse status symbol. My wife has a couple 40-plus single women who will not go out with a guy unless he has a college degree. WTF is that shit!
Your post, while pithy, proves we won’t see eye to eye on this. I’ll leave this by giving you are an upvote on your post showing that we can agree to disagree without hating each other.
That's thing, what is an insult or demeaning to the proverbial you, may not be to the proverbial me. The link I provided to Carlin's comedy has him literally calling Richard Pryor and Eddie Murphy the n-word. There is no doubt many people could be offended by that, but you are smart enough to understand the context and intent of the words, in that the words are part of the joke. No different than what Chappelle does with his jokes about trans people (or any other target of his jokes).
Part of the PC culture in the US is controlling words and its associated meaning, not in the name of being nice, but in the name of gaining control. Carlin pushes hard against this, and I agree with him. What's wrong with using the word "cripple"? (an example of what Carlin talks about).
We may have to agree to disagree on this topic, but I always enjoy your commitment posts :)
I haven't gotten through the entire Brady Roast yet, so I haven't gotten to the part about Kraft. But based on what I've heard, then I agree with you in that Robert Kraft is NOT off-limits. Plenty of rich white people were mocked and ridiculed as part of the roast (I mean the target of this roast, Tom Brady, is a very rich white dude), so I doubt the off-limits status has anything to do with money or race. Occasionally, you get an "off-limits" status at these roasts, but I never agree with it. So be it.
Beyond that, this is where I strongly, but respectfully, disagree with you:
Dave Chappelle attacking trans people, a community suffering from high suicide rates and the constant threat of physical violence.
Dave Chappelle has never attacked trans people. He has never called for any violence upon them. Dave Chappelle has simply made some trans people a part of his jokes. Dave Chappelle makes all races, genders, etc. part of his jokes. This is part of the art form. Any violence and suffering in the trans community has nothing to do with Dave Chappelle.
As part of a joke, he calls both Richard Pryor and Eddie Murphy the n-word.
Comedy is an art form where all people, no matter what, can be the subject and object to a joke. I'm not saying this is you, but if people are offended by it, then don't listen.
You don't remember BVS? That guy was supposed to be a beast FB in the perfect Harbaugh mold. He fumbled during that Army game, and never really got his footing, then transferred.
His brother Alex was someone who we were after, but once he committed to MSU, Ben was destined to end up there as well.
I’ll clarify. NY slice pizza is shite. As you can see from my post above, I commend a sit down pizza place in Hells Kitchen, so take a Xanax and chill.
Been to John's. It was the same reheated shit that every other place serves.
I have countless classmates/friends in NYC that try to take me to the next best pizza slice place. All are the same: reheated food for drunk people.
With that, I did go to a sit down pizza place in Hell's Kitchen (I can't remember the name of the place) that had an amazing pizza with burrata cheese on the top. One of the best pizza's I've had. Something I have not seen in Chicago.
I'll add that the most underrated NYC food is the chopped cheese. I've had about 10 of them and every one of them were amazing. Can't get a chopped cheese in Chicago.
NY pizza is shite. Its a tasty snack that is good when you are drunk. The pizza sits on that tin pan for god knows how long. Then when you order the slice, it gets thrown into the oven to resurrect the flavor like the bride of Frankenstein, then served to you. It's noticeably not fresh and worthy of drunk cuisine.
OK, I'll explain what I think it means. By chanting "USA, USA, USA", they are supporting the the protestors right to protest at the commencement, right?
By chanting "USA, USA, USA" they are using their voice to signify that USA is such an awesome place, that they are underscoring their the right to protest, which is right not available in the vast majority of the world.
Am I the only one who finds this at least a bit concerning? I'm not discounting what we have accomplished, but our NC has NOT shown to give us any recruiting bump whatsoever yet. It seems that $$$ still rules the day and it looks like we still like to be arrogant about it. I'd hate to lose all momentum if we don't invest more in NIL etc.

I said this in another thread, but we really need to de-emphasize the need for college for most jobs out there.
But is Dono on the cover?
OK, I seriously feel like an idiot.
I thought that was some weird nick -name for Urban Meyer. Oops!
The one-timer is what takes the game to the next level IMO. After having that feature, I couldn’t go back.
NHL PA ‘95 on the Sega Genesis. Still holds up after all these years

Maybe it is, or maybe it isn't. Maybe I was on 'shrooms when I wrote the post above, so it is was all in my head. Maybe.

I haven't finished it yet, but like every other celebrity roast, it represents the best of what comedy should be.
I wrote my best paper in high school on 'shrooms. It was so good that my English teacher was convinced I plagiarized it. She still gave me an A on it.

This has a LIV golf feel to it.
I heard that Jesse Owens' tears cured cancer, but unfortunately he never cried.
Are you telling me that's not true?!
I mean, really?!
You don't think Iron Mike would beat the living shit out of every 30's and 40's boxers?
I mean, isn't it more clear than ever wins DO NOT attract big names recruits anymore.

Reaching Climax on my way to a Michigan game is always a treat
Then I stand corrected. I'm certain I went to a pizza slice place called John's that everyone was raving about.
Maybe Joe's?
Not sure if you'll make it to the game since the Tigers may be playing. I mean, you never miss a Tigers game, right?
Because Frank Sinatra is the foremost expert in pizza, dude

Great write up.
But this Hello post seemed destined for Seth to complete. Sad face
Does releasing the kid from his NIL make us a Zion-ist (sorry, I couldn't resist)
Um…your post pretty much aligns with Team101’s post. Your post clearly states that disruptions are prohibited, including banners and flags.
See Team 101's response below. Disrupting the commencement (for any reason) was prohibited.

In the country of...checks notes...USA! The horror!
I guess its just people VOICING their anger at those protestors. It should be OK with you, right?
Keep in mind that when people's voices are stifled, they sometimes find other outlets for their anger, and that change is rarely convenient.
Because the people disrupting the commencement were not just VOICING their anger, but also ACTING out on it.
Lastly, if some people feel their voices are stifled, it does NOT give them any special rights and privileges to break any other rules/laws.
I saw some of the videos. It definitely was not peaceful
I don’t think Daniel Horton played for JB at all.

Is there a Kentucky joke in there somewhere?

I mean there is no way a single credit from MSU would transfer, so this pick up is unlikely
It’s missing Haskins giant sack, but it’s cool nonetheless. 😀
Taylor Lewan procreated? Yikes!
Keith Jackson is such as treasure. So glad to have him with us still.
Jerky Boys! They really jumped the shark with that movie they made
