Big House Concession Foods

Haven't eaten in the stadium in years, but I'm a hot dog purist, and maybe Lemon Chill 'round the third quarter if it's hot. Can't get into watching a football game while stuffing a big cardboard tub of pulled pork into my grill.
February 9th, 2018 at 1:35 PM ^
Lemon Chill is the only food that is worth it at the stadium, IMO. Been true for decades.
February 9th, 2018 at 2:19 PM ^
Only food that I feel like I am geting my money's worth. I prefer the strawberry though.
February 9th, 2018 at 3:00 PM ^
Frozen Lemonade is a pro move. Amatuers get a water or lemonade that lasts 5 minutes and gets warm. Frozen Lemonade stays cold and if you get one from real deep in the freezer it can take like 30 minutes to chip away at it.

They stopped the Lemon Chills about 5 years ago. They went with Minute Maid brand and they are no where near as good. That was a bad mistake on Brandon's part (not the worst mistake by a long shot, but a mistake none the less).

I was going to say I definitely had one two years ago, at the Hawaii game I believe, but it could have been the new brand. Didn't even notice.

That I usually later forget that I ate

$5 domino's on the way in or out depending on game time is quite common for me when I'm in town.
February 9th, 2018 at 3:00 PM ^
Outside Revelli before a game is an absolute must.
February 9th, 2018 at 1:36 PM ^
Not sure why they went away, but I always loved the cider, donuts and caramel apples from Wiard's. It's probably been at least a decade, but I'd love to see them return.
February 9th, 2018 at 3:08 PM ^
Wow! almost 10 years on here and only 7 points eh? You really pick and choose where to comment!

and love that he didn't respond.

I haven't lived in Michigan for 16 years and reading your post just made my heart hurt in a way I wasn't quite expecting.
/sigh.
I miss home.
February 9th, 2018 at 7:31 PM ^
were terrific. Bring them back!
February 9th, 2018 at 1:36 PM ^
I used to like the Dominos at the stadium when I was much younger. I think it got a fair deal of shit, but I actually thought it was good. I don't think I've bought anything other than a lemon chill or a water since I was about 12, however.

and worth the wait -

I never once went to NYPD. I'd say I don't get the hype, but I don't have enough data on it. It literally means nothing to me.
February 9th, 2018 at 6:54 PM ^
It was a carb redundancy. The chicken rolls are awesome as well they are open until 4 so from the bars (skeeprers) it is right there. But you have red hawk and Ashley's right there. God I love Ann Arbor.

My drunk slice was always Back Room lol. I had South U once and it tasted like garbage, even drunk. Idk how it couldv'e been that bad. Love Redhawk. AA is great.

That one season where they had the McDonald’s trailer in the SE corner.
February 9th, 2018 at 1:51 PM ^
Gross. I can't do mcdonalds.
February 10th, 2018 at 1:00 PM ^
that not only do you not do McDonald's, but that you DO upvote your own posts.
How many upvotes also come from your other user accounts?

Tailgate food is the only way to go. Water is all I've purchased in years. I don't need the fat guy jammed in next to me putting his elbow in my pizza
February 9th, 2018 at 2:29 PM ^
Hey! I just have big bones!
February 9th, 2018 at 3:26 PM ^
Sorry my bad, you want a slice
February 9th, 2018 at 7:57 PM ^
Yes, please. I will also eat the box too and the little person sitting next to you.
February 9th, 2018 at 4:58 PM ^
I don’t even buy water. Ask for a cup of water. They’re legally not allowed to charge you for access to fresh water. When you buy a water bottle, you’re literally only paying for the plastic container
February 10th, 2018 at 8:48 AM ^
Hit the Hydration Station in the south end of the stadium. Cups are small but I grab one or two on the way in and out from the Pioneer tailgate area.

Orlando, two?

for the Sailor Jerry that fell into my boots on the way in
February 9th, 2018 at 2:04 PM ^
dude who suggested Wiards gets my vote.
I always grill out during the tailgate (steaks, eggs, burgers, brats etc.) while I pound beer and a few shots. Then get some 50 mL conicals from lab and fill them up with Fireball or JD or whatever we're imbibing right before heading in. They're easy to store, hold about 2-3 decent pulls of liquor each, and don't set off metal detectors.
February 9th, 2018 at 2:04 PM ^
I ate a pizza thing there and it made me so sick I spent like half of the third quarter of the Michigan-OSU game on the toilet.
So don’t do that.
February 9th, 2018 at 2:38 PM ^
why didn't you just borrow a cooler?
February 9th, 2018 at 2:51 PM ^
That’s highly unlikely, food poisoning takes about 12-24 hours to set in. It would have had to of be something very seriously to effect you that quickly
February 9th, 2018 at 3:15 PM ^
The pizza was that bad. It sped up my digestive system. I did eat at zingermans the night before (I remember because I had so much) and that place is usually pretty sketchy with its food standards so that may have been it
February 9th, 2018 at 4:17 PM ^
Come on. You may not like Zingerman’s prices but it’s food quality is high.
February 9th, 2018 at 8:52 PM ^
He forgot the /s at the end..
February 9th, 2018 at 3:44 PM ^
anywhere from 2-12
February 9th, 2018 at 5:02 PM ^
That’s an extreme case if it’s 2-12 hours after eating.

steamed hot dogs from the carts around Elbel on the way in. Tradition!

Fried Perch sandwich is great, but its only in Suites Concessions, I had to beg to be allowed in there to get that sandwich and go back to regular seats afterwards. Not all the people guarding those entrances are kind enough/willing to risk their job to let you in there though.
February 9th, 2018 at 4:27 PM ^
The suites also have carved prime rib or carved turkey sandwiches. They run about $11. There’s also a weekly special depending on opponent. When they played Colorado for instance, they served bison burgers. Wisconsin was a brat burger with sauerkraut and cheese.
February 9th, 2018 at 5:29 PM ^
served in the 2 club levels and not in the suites... the suites do get fancy food type things like beef tenderloin tray and fried scallops (which stink bad)... a couple of suites got scallops on the 5th floor west side for the AF game and that whole hallway smelled horrible...
