My son in law is a UGA grad…

My son in law is a UGA grad and he always pulls against Alabama no matter who they are playing.

It might be a bit premature…

It might be a bit premature to assume that they are going to have terrible QB play. Howard MAY fit their offense better, and the weapons are there. Think the O-line will be the key.

He was great at doing more…

He was great at doing more with less, and for the most part, his films were very entertaining.

RCMB is absolutely a cure if…

RCMB is absolutely a cure if you ever start to feel bad for them. here is a recent post:

Here’s the thing with Mangham. It’s not just that UM is a rival. They’re a rival who cheated against you the last 2 seasons. You didn’t get a fair game from them because they were cheating. And the first year their coach ordered your teammates to be arrested for a brief scuffle after the game. If you want to go play with the team that cheated you and your teammates and then had your teammates arrested over a normal football scuffle, you have zero pride or character.

Truly remarkable athlete. It…

Truly remarkable athlete. It's somewhat subjective, but he has to be on the short list for best ever. Another on that short list is Jim Thorpe.

I don't. Tyson was kind of a…

I don't. Tyson was kind of a one trick pony- boring in taking punishment to get inside. Once Buster Douglas beat him, he was never the same because the intimidation factor was gone. Joe Frazier was a much better version of the same style. Joe Louis would have crushed Tyson.

My enthusiasm knows no bounds.

Rickey and Trey are both…

Rickey and Trey are both listed as 6'0". I'm not sure trey is really that tall, but I'm quite sure Rickey is not as I have stood right next to him. Loved Rickey, but neither of his 2 seasons (he came in as a junior), was he as good and valuable as Trey was in 2013. Rickey was a fast player (very fast) who could score but he was not an elite passer.

That would be a fun team to watch.

I get the argument if you're…

I get the argument if you're downgrading him for only playing 2 seasons, but as a soph he was as good as any of them with the exception of Cazzie who was kind of a position-less player, anywhere from a 1-4.

Bill Buntin was all Big 10…

Bill Buntin was all Big 10 first team in all 3 of his varsity seasons. 1964 NCAA all tournament team, 1965 all regional team. He would have scored more but didn't need to as Cazzie was such a scorer, still averaged 21.8 per game over his career to go with 13.1 rebounds per game. He was extremely athletic with soft hands.

C'mon, wouldn't even make…

C'mon, wouldn't even make the bench- Naismeth player of the year?

Tim was a solid player but…

Tim was a solid player but Bill Buntin was a certifiable Big Ten and NCAA star. he began to lead us out of mediocrity, then a year later, Cazzie finished that job.

You said it perfectly. If he…

You said it perfectly. If he avoids injuries, in 5 years I'm confident the consensus will be that he was the best pick.

Think they feel like they…

Think they feel like they have been scoring too many points and want to create a bigger challenge for their defense.

Ok, here's mine based on a total of 22 (I think).

Favorite then and always- old Tiger (Briggs stadium), the peanuts, the incredibly green grass and the first MLB experience for a very impressionable 7 year old.

Worst- the Old Vet in Philadelphia- the worst of the cookie cutter multi-purpose stadiums that began with Busch in St. Louis and included Riverfront (Cinci) Three Rivers (Pitt).

I do (or at least did) like Dodger stadium, Petco is great too. I like most ball parks though.

You should have bought an italian sausage  sandwich with peppers and onions from a vender outside, you'd have a better opinion of Fenway.

I went to a night game at…

I went to a night game at Candlestick in the late 1980s. It had been a beautiful day and I was visiting SF on business (I always planned trips around home baseball schedules). A co-worker local to the area took me as a guest. It had been a beautiful day and I was wearing shorts and a golf shirt. The local guy carried in what looked like a winter coat to me, and I was laughing at him. Just wait, he said. I also noticed a guy sitting below us who had a hat with a bunch of buttons stuck on all around it. The buttons had the SF logo with icicles hanging from the S and the F. My friend said- oh those buttons are the "Croix de Candlestick." You have to earn them.

About the 6th inning, the wind reversed direction and the temps dropped about 25 degrees in minutes. I'm freezing my ass off and drinking coffee instead of beer, my friend was just chuckling. The game went 10 or 11 innings. I wanted to bail but my friend said we have to stay. As we left the game the ushers were passing out buttons from big barrels to everyone: Yep- the "Croix de Candlestick" earned by surviving an extra inning night game to the bitter end!

I'm guessing JJ had a pretty good idea, not sure about Blake, but maybe both had multiple caps based on the teams they interviewed with?

Mrs. Stoutland, do assistant coaches typically merit HOF consideration just on that basis?

I kid, he clearly has gotten some great results from that O-line.

They finished 5th in the conference this year, maybe they are bringing in a more talented roster. My guess is Kansas must be paying more than Europe. He's probably going to take a modern dance class like Matt Leinert did at USC his last season (his only class).

I'd bet the Chargers go O-line after a trade down to someone.

Steve Winwood's solo work is extremely impressive (Arc of a Diver, and Back in the High Life enjoyed both critical and commercial acclaim, and there's a lot more than just that).

I've liked Homa, since a friend of mine suggested his podcast a couple of years ago. He is a great interview as well and seems to be a funny unassuming guy.

He's pretty good on the Fox pregame show and normally is one of the more positive panelists with respect to Michigan. I didn't like him at ND, but I'm fine with him now.

Well, didn't he recently…

Well, didn't he recently beat his rookie combine time in the 40? I think he was likely kidding on this one though.

The gloves were stiff and…

The gloves were stiff and somewhat shrunk by the time he tried them on and more importantly, he was wearing latex gloves and put the gloves on over those. Zero doubt in my mind that he did it. Fuhrman planting evidence (which I also don't doubt) also undermined the case.

That said, the racial aspect was probably the biggest factor in the acquittal.

Think it's 50-50 on Tiger…

Think it's 50-50 on Tiger making the cut, those are in fact the odds and I bet that he would. Scottie is playing so well it doesn't seem fair. Think Rory has to win a different major first to end that drought and then maybe a Masters. Aberg seems so calm, don't know if that's just on the outside, but he is one supremely talented Masters rookie.
