Big 12 Championship Game Open Thread

This should be interesting.  Both Oklahoma and Ohio State have to go for extreme style points.

But there is a risk if they press too much that they make mistakes and make matters worse.

If these games are close in the 4th quarter, there could be a meltdown.

The ABC feed on my TV keeps freezing every minute or two for about 4 seconds. Is anyone else experiencing this? I have spectrum cable, not sure if it is my cable box or ABC feed.

So far looks like OU is getting the ball out pretty quick. Even on deep balls. Opposite of our slow developing vpassing games

also check downs / swing passes

Don't think we can talk about B12 bad defenses after our showing last week (to the poster above)

OKs offense looks light years ahead of ours.

Did we really have just a "bad game", or were we feasting on piss-poor Big Ten offenses that masked some of our issues?

We like to make fun of the Big 12 for not playing good defense, but maybe the real story is that the Big Ten does not play good offense.

We would get torched by some of these Big 12 offenses.

I like what Texas is doing.  They know they need to keep pace with Oklahoma, so they are playing offense aggressively.

They are not sitting back and trying to play ball control while OU scores a quick 21 points.

There is a lesson to be learned there . . .

So far ...looking good for Osu. For all those that were happy the Maryland QB couldn't complete a 10 foot pass for the win...

Y'all do realize that the planets always align for osu, right? If you're one of the poor souls thinking that everything will happen the way it should today and keep osu out of the playoff...well...I'm sorry...

Sure does seem like Osu always gets the breaks. But at least it gives the games today, teams to root for/against ...since Mich is sitting home again as usual.

Notice how OK kicked the extra point in first half...

That scoring drive by OU shows what is wrong with Harbaugh/Pep body blows offense.

It is just not possible to stop the best offenses.

All you can do is get a number of key stops over the course of a game.

So you have to have an offense that can keep up.

The teams that make, of even just miss, the playoffs now have offenses that can score a lot against even very good Ds.

Not all have offenses are as good as OU or OSU.  But all the team that make the playoffs have offenses that are far more explosive than what Pep/JH did this year.

No one is going to make the playoff with a 'body blows' offense.

Can only hope that the blow out by OSU showed Harbaugh that he’s got to make changes. Need to be able to win a shootout if needed.

He’s probably going to need to sell a passing attack to get Shea to return as well.

I’m confident D Brown will adapt. Has all new corners to start fresh with a sprinkle some zone

I assume if our coaches are watching this game, they are wondering why Oklahoma, with 90 seconds left and needing to march 80 yards down the field at the end of the half to score, is not huddling and getting plays off with about five seconds left on the play clock.

Texas blew the end of the first half.  Could have ran it twice from 2nd and 25 and only left Oklahoma with 20 seconds to drive the field.

We were down multiple scores at ND & Osu going into 4th. Still huddling, walking to the line - then running into a stacked box half the time to kill even more clock. How does a coach with 40 years football experience allow that to happen?

Play sand lot for fucks sake & just tell the receivers to get open - if they don't know how to do hurry up.
