Basketball thread v. McNeese State

If Michigan can’t make the 2nd half comeback, Howard should be gone before the calendar hits 2024. I know some here are committed fully to the idea that Howard is no different from Harbaugh and all he needs is time, but enough is enough at some point. 

I can't watch this, both literally and figuratively but diving into the box score.

We've hit 4 2-pointers all game.

We are nearly 50% from 3.

We're shooting solidly better than them.

They have 16 more shots than us but similar in rebounds... Which is utterly bizarre.

And we're down by 7

Started watching on the alternative streaming link.  Thought Michigan was ahead since the logos are similar and then realized Michigan is losing again.  It sounds like Michigan, as usual, isn't playing D and or taking care of the ball.  Just awful.

At least Juwan does classy things like getting into to fights with opposing coaches and his own staff

Are there people wearing paper bags over their heads in the stands yet.  I saw a couple of Piston fans the other night wearing those.  Wondering if we are at that point yet with our basketball team.

Yeah where to start the criticism? It's bad team ball on both ends by athletic D1 players. At least the fans appear to be having fun in the stands regardless (or at least who the cameraman zoomed in on just then).

The fact reed can't dominate in this game speaks volumes

I gotta say Rob Riley (ref) looks like a Marine who owns a Landscaping company specializing in Pansies.

TMills already spoke on it but it bears repeating because it's a recurring problem for Juwan's teams. When the opposition is aggressive, you run backdoor cuts, stagger screens, feint your passes, shot fakes, etc. You know, basic f-ing basketball stuff!

This program is, to put it mildly, a mess

McNeese State is playing at full speed while Michigan is at 75% effort.

Yes he got fouled there, but how does Nkamhoua not see the trouble there?

McNeese just got the turnover & 4 of their guys ran out on the break, Michigan had 2 back - but TJack slagged it & they got an easy pass for uncontested dunk. I don't think the other 3 wolverines made it past half court. Logging off

What a disaster.

No...I haven't seen a second of this game.  What a waste of a season.  I hope Juwan is and stays healthy but at what point are the losses cut and a new direction is established?  We just waste this season and then hope '24/'25 things get back on track? And if not that becomes 3 straight years of no tournament.

Warde is useless. He'll never fire Howard. All he can do is sit on his hands. 

McNeese has 42 points in the paint but HUNTER was the problem on defense, right??? 

At this point Howard needs to be gone. It sucks that a member of the Fab Five who had so much success at Michigan is in this position but it can't be allowed to continue.

Where are the Howard apologists now? No, I'm not happy about this.
