Amazon Doc on Michigan Football Season
Being released this Friday.

All good suggestions. If MGoBlog does an end of career special publication after Beilein's retirement, I would buy multiple copies. Would love that.
But Quinn JUB anyone give the world a Beilein book. It will greatly influence high school coaching. Dude is absolute best
Pain.
Even knowing the results of the season, I am kind of intrigued by this series and might give it a chance. I don't have any illusions that it will answer any lingering questions I might have, but then what good does answering any such questions do now? Probably not much.
Just seeing what the players are like behind the scenes, if the dysfunction in the coaching staff was apparent, and how things went off the rails will be fascinating to me at least. I don't know how any die hard Michigan football fan could not be interested in this.
I thought about how painful this is going to be to watch but in some ways this will be the video version of "3rd & Long". I knew how that was going to end but read it anyways to find out what the hell was going on behind the scenes.
My guess is there will be several things we will all learn after watching it that we didnt know about the program/coaching staff and many more questions will be raised. Because I'm pretty sure they had unrestricted access to the team/staff and we had little or no editorial oversight.
BOHICA 2017 Michigan football. BOHICA.
I think comparing last year to the events that led up to 3rd and Long may be a tiny bit misplaced.
I was using 3rd & Long as a comparison in that it was a behind the scenes look at Michigan football via the written word whereas this will be a video peak behind the scenes, NOT comparing 2010 Michigan football to 2017.
But in fairness to both John U and Amazon, neither knew how the season would turn out when the project began. It just happened that one (last year) turned out to be a dissapointment while the other (2010) was an unmitigated disaster.
Fair.
I think I'm just a little gun shy at this point. I mean I've seen people on this board compare last year to 2008 UNIRONICALLY.
double post
triple post somehow? I KNOW I only clicked the button once...
I had a hatty yesterday myself.
Thankfully it was in a hockey post
Three and Out ?
Fourth and Long ?
"Even knowing the results of the season, I am kind of intrigued by this series and might give it a chance."
This is similar to my thinking, and that doesn't bode well for the show having very many viewers. I have Amazon Prime, so that's not an issue, and I am definitely a Michigan football fan, but knowing the way the season turned out makes me not all that enthusiastic about the show. If it were about last year, the year before, or (I'm hopeful about) almost any future season, I would be more inclined to tune in.
I'm still excited about it! Does anyone know if all eight episodes will be released on Friday or rolled out week by week?
Should all be released at once. That's how it normally works on the streaming services.
Some, but not all. Depends really on the show, some are released all at once but I know a few Hulu shows release week by week.
Hopefully, you're right on this, though!
Thanks the great response and your patience with my question. Looking back, Amazon has released two Originals (Alpha House & Betas) week-by-week but it was when they were just starting with original content but not since their first seasons.
But hey, thanks again!
If that's true I had no idea and can't say I'm really a fan of that. Was looking forward to binging them all this weekend.
According to this article, they will all be released at once: https://www.detroitnews.com/story/sports/college/university-michigan/20…
There's also this article talking about the All or Nothing NFL version w/ the 2017 Cowboys that mentions that they will all be released at once: http://www.nfl.com/news/story/0ap3000000918226/article/all-or-nothing-s…
EDIT: Dafuq? Links don't automatically generate? What year is it?
Great news! Well, for me at least... for my wife, maybe not so much.
Oh wow. Intersesting.
I watch Man In the High Castle, Sneaky Pete and The Grand Tour and all of those are week-by-week. Apologies.
All good dude. I guess certain shows it makes more sense to do weekly vs. all at once. I'm not familiar with their streaming service but excited to try it out this weekend.
Yeah everyone knows that receivers suck when they are being filmed
I think there's a typo there. Think he meant "we" and not "wr" but it's still a ridiculous statement that deserves to get negged.
lol okay that makes it slightly more sensical.
Actually, it's just that they respond better to politically insensitive language. It's a quirk of the position.
Yeah lots of old-timey slurs thrown around in that meeting room. That's why we call them "wide" receivers and not "big-boned" receivers or "corpulent" receivers.
In 2018.
I hope they film again this season to capture us winning the National Championship.
Oh brother...
