Which bench is Michigan sitting on?
Going to the game and sitting in section 106.
Michigan is the high seed, so I'm assuming they will be on the Lakers bench. Does anyone have insider info on that? Can't find anything online.
Wondering if showing up early (more than 1 hr) is worthwhile.
really don't think where the Lakers sit is going to have anything to do with where Michigan sits.
Michigan being the highest remaining seed will be the home team in Los Angeles. I believe they also get the best locker room (most likely Lakers) and hotel as well as the highest remaining seed.
Had not thought about that. I hope they wear maize. It is time to bring those out.
Is opposite to you. But in all tourney games the higher seed has sat at your end.
Open practice tomorrow. But not sure of time for M.
Go Blue.
C'mon, Thursday. Why U so far away?
Does showing up early have to do with what side Michigan is sitting on?
The earlier he shows up, the quicker that he is able to determine which bench Michigan is sitting on, and whether or not it is the same bench that the Lakers sit on or whether it is, in fact, the opposite bench.
Never been to a tournament game. Do they do a longer shootaround? Out early like NBA games?
is one thing that actually does worry me a little bit about this game. This game starts at 4:37 local time out there. There is going to be nobody there at the tip. It is going to be like a scrimmage atmosphere to start. Hope the team is not as flat as the crowd will be.
Beyond the early time...Thursday is poised to be, by far, the rainest day Los Angeles has had in over a year. Flash Flood Watch has already been issued for LA, Ventura and Santa Barbara Counties.
Traffic will be beyond abysmal.
Any UM fans should leave PLENTY of buffer time.
NOAA weather alert:
.FLASH FLOOD WATCH FOR RECENT BURN AREAS ACROSS SOUTHWESTERN CALIFORNIA... .A large and powerful storm system across the Eastern Pacific is expected to approach the West Coast through Friday. A subtropical fetch of moisture well ahead of the system is expected to bring periods of moderate to heavy rain to portions of Southwest California as early as this afternoon and continuing through late Thursday or early Friday. The most widespread moderate to heavy rain currently looks to be focused along and ahead of a cold front pushing through the region Wednesday night into Thursday. Flash flooding and mud and debris flows are likely in and around recent burn areas in the watch area. There is the potential that the Flash Flood Watch will need to be expanded to include areas outside of recent burn areas during the peak of the storm system Wednesday night into Thursday. Rain will likely come to an end behind the cold front sometime late Thursday into early Friday. Storm total rainfall is expected to range from 2 to 5 inches across coastal and valley areas, with 5 to locally 10 inches across the foothills and coastal slopes. misery, crying, wailing and gnashing of teeth in traffic. abandon all hope, ye who enter....
When this is determined. I need to rearrange my living room to accomidate as well.
I'm worried about the locker room. If the custodians put the toilet paper backwards, Belein will go nuts. He hasn't put the toilet paper backwards since their run to the B1G championship began.
I would assume that for Thursday, Michigan's official section is 119.
I'm in 106 as well and we'll likely be on the Gonzaga/Texas A&M side, but besides those 4 official 100 sections, the stadium will be evenly mixed so I wouldn't worry about it.
We don't know for sure, but the best guesses are, for the official fan/donor/university tickets:
- Michigan 119 (TV will show this section)
- Gonzaga 102 (TV will show this section)
- Texas A&M 110
- Florida State 112
Bands:
- Michigan 117
- FSU 114
- Gonzaga 105
- Texas A&M 108

that says "winner" on it.
Traffic and the weather will be horrible as it's supposed to pour like never before this week.
After all, General Manager Rob Pelinka is a true blue Michigan man..Ross School, Law School
At the University of Michigan, , he has the distinction of being the only person in school history to have been a member of three National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) Final Four teams: the 1988–89 NCAA Men's Division I Basketball Champion Wolverines basketball team as well as both the 1991–92 and the 1992–93 national championship runners-up, which were best remembered as the Fab Five teams. Pelinka holds a Juris Doctor cum laude from the University of Michigan Law School (1996) and Bachelor of Business Administration from the University of Michigan Ross School of Business (1993). Pelinka was also named the 1993 NCAA Male Walter Byers Scholar Athlete of the Year.[7]
I don't follow the NBA and had no idea Rob Pelinka was the GM of the Lakers! He was pretty good in his day as a valuable backup shooting guard. Wasn't bad on the defensive side, either. He started a handful of games after Rumeal Robinson left, but it didn't take long for Jalen Rose and Jimmy King to park his butt on the bench!
Nice blast from the past!!
