Men's Lacrosse @ #19 Delaware, Noon Today
Michigan wraps up their spring break trip with a game against the Delaware Blue Hens at noon today in some lousy Smarch weather. It's pretty gross on the east coast today so this would be nice to watch while being stuck inside but it's streaming on something called FloSports so, no.
This is another good resume-building opportunity for Michigan. They've had the Blue Hens number the last two years and beat them in '22 and '23, which were very solid wins. Delaware went on to upset #2 G'town in the NCAAs two years ago and then had eventual national-runner's up and #1 seed Duke on the ropes in the first round last year. So, they're pretty good and well-coached. The Blue Hens are coming off a tough one-goal loss to the Penn Quakers.
Would be a good W and go a long way for the tournament. Michigan should try to get 6-1 before ND and the start of the conference. Go get 'em and GO BLUE!
It's it on TV?
#6 Women’s lacrosse v. Colorado at noon at UM Lacrosse stadium. FREE! Suns out! 50°!
8-3 UM at the half here. The women are good this iteration.
Looks like Boehm has a few goals so far and thus recording his 199th and 200th career points!
Tiernan has a few as well, on some really good-looking shots.
6-5 M at half according to twitter.
Does Delaware also have winged helmets?
Kind of hard to see but yes, it looks like they do?
There appears to be a very similar look to the helmets - though the color shades may be different.
for kit comparison purposes...
3-goal burst right out of halftime gave Michigan a nice cushion and they went on to win by five, 13-8. GOOD WIN. It's very possible Delaware will find themselves in the tournament again this year. Now they get another chance for a strong resume-buidling W when they play Harvard at home next weekend. GO BLUE!!
Hail to the Victorses!
WLax also won, also 13-8 over #19, except Colorado.
Lacrosse school!!
