One of my cousins was jabbing with me and told me that one of those early wins was against Ann Arbor High School - I thought he was just joking/messing with me, and he was actually right lol.

MSU, Notre Dame, and Alabama also have opponents like that early in their histories. Every program does.

Yeah, here's some of the "schools" that big time programs played as football was taking shape

Alabama: Haskell Indian Nations, Birmingham HS, 2nd Ambulance Company, Pensacola NAS
Texas: Texas School for the Deaf, Penn Radio School, 26th Infantry, Blackland AFB
Notre Dame: South Bend HS, Northwestern Law School, Illinois Cycling Club, Chicago Dental, Adrian College (yes the one in Michigan), Toledo Athletic Association
Oklahoma: Hawaii All-Stars, Guthrie Town Team, Arkansas City Town Team, Oklahoma City Town Team

Don't forget about that 44-0 beating in 1896 against Grand Rapids HS. I read their coach even played left end in that one. I guess in those days you played against who ever you could find.

I mean, Grand Rapids HS in 1896 had a lot of expectations going into the season, but as we know, sometimes the injuries start to accumulate, and sometimes your depth at a position group is sadly thin enough that your staff has to fill in on occasion.

I once heard a poem about an inventor from Racine...

Irving Kane Pond who scored Michigan's 1st touchdown in 1879 would become the architect for the Michigan Student Union (built where his childhood home was) and Jane Addams' famous Hull House in Chicago.
The rules were more loose back then as he scored the 1st TD by running into the bleachers and then from elevation jumping off and over a pursuing tackler per his memoir.

Completely off topic but I used to love to pool hall (Edit: Billiard Room) in the union. I understand why it's gone but still

Hull House now surrounded by and part of University of Illinois Chicago, former hockey foe.

Holy Crap! My first Michigan game was Nov. 22, 1969, which was win 517. I've seen or heard nearly half of Michigan's football victories! Imagine how many Craig Ross has been around for....

All of them. He wrote the UFR for win #1.

Great content and cool interactive.
However, the description of the Michigan 1902 win over Stanford is inaccurate. When the game got out of hand, the Stanford coach asked Yost to call off the rest of the game. Yost refused. Later, the Stanford Captain asked Michigan’s Captain, Hugh White, to call off the rest of the game. White agreed.
Also, it was not technically a “Rose Bowl” game — the Rose Bowl, itself, was not built until 1922. It was the Tournament of Roses East-West Game.
2 cents. But again, it’s a great feature.

Really saddens me to be reminded that our last bowl victory was 8 years ago

It is really puzzling how discordant Harbaugh’s postseason record is compared to his regular season record, especially with how successful his last two teams have been.
