NFL Draft Discussion-1st round
Where does JJ go? Any other Michigan guys in first round. I’m not from Michigan but I will throw in the question of who do the Lions go after? If I’m the Bears I’m drafting JJ and then Odunze. I just think he will be better than MHJ. Thoughts overall?
Vikings at 5
Who you think will be better, MHJ or Odunze?
nabers
Nabers is a unique guy because he's not shaped like a big outside WR you usually seen taken so high in the draft; he's 6' and 200 lbs, so about the same size as Roman Wilson. In the right system he's fantastic but my one concern if I'm drafting him is he's not going to be a huge downfield contested catch guy and you gotta not try to make him into one in your offense because he's your X receiver.
MHJ, and it won't be close by the time their respective careers end. Jr is going to be the rare child that is better than his dad.
Hopefully a better human being too.
Rare? Sons of athletes have better careers than their fathers all the time.
Steph Curry, Kobe Bryant, Kyrie Irving, Moises Alou, Prince Fielder, Peyton and Eli Manning, Ken Griffey Jr., Barry Bonds, Cal Ripken Jr., Floyd Mayweather Jr., Clay Matthews Jr., Andrew Luck, Matt Hasselbeck, Christian McCaffrey is one his way, etc., and this is just a start.

Technically it is far more difficult to be better than a parent if the parent plays at a professional level..

Do you have data to back that up? All the guys I just listed had parents who played at a professional level, and it is just scratching the surface.
How do you make a list this long and miss Hutch?
Probably because Chris Hutchinson never played in the pros.
Isn't that part of how we know Aidan will have had a better career?
Will Johnson.

You called it.
Barry and Hutch, this is a great draft so far!
Deeeeeeetroit!!!
Goodell trying to be relatable is the worst and cringiest thing I'll see tonight.
I thought he owned it, he wasnt trying to be relatable, he was poking fun at himself.
Say it Hutch! Go Blue!
Would've been epic.
Goodell sounds like he’s in the opening minutes of drinking on pills
To be fair, he had major back surgery only three weeks ago. He probably is loaded with pain killers allowing him to even be there.
He musta loved that bear hug from the Bama lineman. I’m no a doc but Goodell seems like a great candidate for medical cannabis
I'd pick Barry Sanders #1
As what? Nose tackle?
Caleb Williams played in a basketball on grass conference with limited defense. JJ all day!
Detroit knows how to show up for a party.
Fucking love Detroit.
Asshole sighting … guess who … mister tough guy
Williams is a very good QB has talent but that attitude he showed in games this year was very telling… me first , sulking on the bench !!!
I think he’s benefitted from playing shit defenses. He’s got talent but he’s been playing 7 on 7 style in college.
Who is the best NFL QB that played under Lincoln Riley - or committed to Oklahoma?
Baker?
Didn't Jalen Hurts play for Lincoln Riley? If so, it's got to be him.
But boy, as a Bears fan, I hope it's Caleb Williams.
Caleb Williams GF looking ready for the Oscars red carpet.
Truth. The dress looked expensive...and she looked great in it.
JJ = the franchise.
any team that picks him will be very, very glad.
10minutes for the first 5 picks is asinine.
Most everything about this is asinine but here I am watching.
I read your post in Hank Hill’s voice.
You get me.
Haha no that certainly does read like it though.
JJ is not the 4th best quarterback out there, he’s the best and it will show in the long run.
I’m obviously biased, but I truly believe JJ will be the best NFL QB drafted tonight. I think JJ with Sean Payton would be a very formidable combo for years, but I assume he’ll go to the Giants or Vikings. Other than that, I want UM to break Georgia’s record and I can’t wait to see what the Lions do. I’m 56 years old and still have to pinch myself when I realize I’m confident in the Lions decision making.
Now the fun begins at 3
Patriots should’ve went with the Michigan Man
I'm actually glad they didn't, would not have been a good landing spot for JJ.
I think they made a big mistake. Maye is in that mold of ACC QB who is well rounded but not spectacular enough to really excel in the NFL. Reminds me of Daniel Jones and Mitch Trubisky. They check a lot of QB-prototype boxes but they don't have 'it.'
Even though New England is down right now, I was hoping they would have selected McCarthy. They could have sat him for a year while they tanked so they could really load up in next year's draft. The Brady years have made me fond of New England. I spent twenty years rooting for that team.
I have JJ under 5.5 at -145
Edit: I need to see people on phones!
Will the Giants fuck this up. Oh, please, please do not...
do they take JJ....?
