I think that if you had visited Bama board after Auburn game if Milroe hadn't completed 4th and 31, the tone would have been a lot different. More like OSU.

Collegefootballplayoff.com (official site) says that information on the random drawing for the limited number of tickets that will be available to the public will be released some time this spring.

Maryland basketball season…

Maryland basketball season ticket holder here. There is a segment of the fan base that was happy to leave ACC and not just because of the money. There was a strongly held feeling that the North Carolina schools dominated the administration of the conference and that Maryland always got the shaft. It did serve to create great animosity against UNC and Duke and they haven't developed any great B1G rivalries, although Turgeon-Howard kerfuffle had potential.

Younger brother is a Navy basketball commit.

Maybe Brad Robbins came back…

Maybe Brad Robbins came back so he can try and move up to #! in career yards punting by someone named Robbins or have longest punt for Michigan by someone named Robbins.

He still trails Monte Robbins (1984-87) in total punting yards and for longest punt - 82 yards.

The main reason the female…

The main reason the female pom pom squad appeared when it did was Don Canham's daughter, Clare, enrolled at the University. She was on the first one that was at basketball games and for football.

Dean Smith knocked out…

Dean Smith knocked out Michigan 3 times in 1987, 1988 and in the championship game in 1993.

John Wooden knocked out Michigan twice in 1965 championship game and in first round game in 1975 en route to his last championship (OT).

Coach K knocked out Michigan in 1992 championship game and in 2011.

Another aspect to Dickinson…

Another aspect to Dickinson's absence is it caught OSU unprepared, as all their scouting and defensive game plan was most likely built around having to defend Dickinson.  With him absent, Michigan was forced to do different things, which OSU had likely not prepped for.

I tried pasting the chart…

I tried pasting the chart from the PSU offensive UFR but I couldn't get it to format. I will link below.  Through the first 10 games, CJ had one drop of a routine catch all year (out of 21), dropped 3 of 11 "tough catches" and made 2 circus catches out of 12 throws.  If you combine the routine and the tough, that is 0.5 drops a game not 2 or 3.  I think there was one yesterday on the opening drive.

The rest of the team had 6 drops of routine catches - Corum 3, Baldwin 2 and Wilson 1. The rest of the team was 25/33 on "touch catches" and 8/37 on circus catches.  Yes, drops are bad, but they don't seem like they have been a particular problem.

All the Midwest and South…

All the Midwest and South region 1st and 2nd round games are Fri/Sunday and the West and East regions are Sat/Monday.

See TV schedules.

To keep rest days standard, the Midwest and South Sweet Sixteen/E8 will be Saturday/Monday and the West and East (Michigan) will be Sunday/Tuesday with an exception in the event BYU advances to Sweet 16.  In that case, East and Midwest will swap Sweet 16/Elite 8 days.

See link about the BYU contingency plan.

He would not have had much…

He would not have had much competition in games if Zeb had stayed at Maumee Valley Country Day.  The practice competition and coaching at Montverde should have improved his game. The other option would have been to transfer from MVCDS to one of the TRAC schools, like St Johns Jesuit, Whitmer or St Francis.

Larry Cipa was a back up to…

Larry Cipa was a back up to Dennis Franklin and started 3 games for the New Orleans Saints in 1974-75, throwing 1 TD in 1975.  He would have started in the 1974 Rose Bowl if the AD's had sent Michigan instead of OSU after Franklin got hurt in 10-10 tie, assuming Franklin had not recovered in time from his broken collarbone.

Michigan has 8 Final 4 appearances, including 7 championship game appearances, if you include the 2 vacated Fab 5 tournaments.  That ranks 8th in Final Fours and 6th in championship game appearances.

Tom Harmon highlights - the run at about 2:10, the punt return vs. Cal at about 3:30, and the run which finishes with juking the drunk fan who came on the field at about 5:00.

I confused Bob Mann with Len Ford and agree with the commenter below that Ford should be on the team.  Also support Ron Johnson and Tom Mack.  Tom Keating (early 1960s) worthy of consideration for defensive line.

Great squad!! Here are a few that should have been honorable mention at least, if not starters.

Bob Mann - te or de 1946-47 (Pro FB HOF)

Bump Elliiott - hb or db 1946-47

Hurricanes too

Good point on Bristol.  I imagine Hurricanes Harvey and Irma had an impact too.  As for the general trend - not knowing what time the game will be until less than 2 weeks ahead of time doesn't make it easy to plan.

Babe's in Roanoake

I'll fly down Friday afternoon and stay with in-laws in Keller near DFW.  Might catch a Rangers game, but will definitely head to Roanoke (northern part of the Metroplex) for awesome fried chicken at some point.  Monstrous portions served family style.  Sometimes, there can be a bit of a wait for a table.

The Stockyards in Fort Worth are fun and, if you haven't been before, Dealey Plaza and the Texas School Book Depository are must sees.  My brother-in-law is a JFK assasination expert and gives a great tour that includes Oswald's home, the movie theatre he went to after the shooting, the site of where he shot Office Tippett, Parkview Hospital, the lockup where Ruby shot Oswald and Oswald's grave.  I have suggested he offer these tours to the public for a fee in his retirement, but he is in his late 70s and doesn't seem that interested in retiring.  He has the suitcoat that Jack Ruby wore when he shot Oswald in a framed case in his office.

Big Ten state with most on list

Maryland has 4 players on this list and there are two more from DC.  If Durkin continures to recruit well in DC and its Maryland suburbs, Maryland could make the B1G East even more competitive.

Why Maui field is weaker than usual

Phil Knight of Nike turns 80 this year so Nike is sponsoring two 8-team simultaneous tournaments in Portland over Thanksgiving weekend to honor him.  That took out 16 potential teams, including three of last year's Final Four.

UNC, Duke, Oregon, Stanford, Gonzaga, Connecticut, Michigan State, Ohio State, Arkansas, Georgetown. Texas, Oklahoma, Butler, Florida, Portland and Portland State make up the field.

Re Florida

8-1 is not better than 12-1. #advanced math :)

My advice - go to KC and see

My advice - go to KC and see if prices fall at the last minute.  If they do, you buy the cheapest seat in the arena and then try to  move to one of the seats in lower level that are still empty because of late arriving Kansas fans.  If prices don't fall, watch game in bar near arena.

No shots from corner

I used to play at Waterman Gym my freshman year - 1973-74. It was the closest gym to Alice Lloyd before CCRB opened a few years later.  You could not shoot from the corner, or your shot would be blocked by the track that overhung.

In answer to an earlier comment about Yost, I attended a game there in 1967 against Purdue as a 6th grader with my brother who was a freshman.  The team wasn't very good - it was the first year after Cazzie left and the last year before the games moved to Crisler. Purdue won, as I recall, with Herm Gilliam and Billy Keller.  I had heard about the bats and birds flying around inside, but I didn't see any.  I had previously been to a wrestling meet there a few years before.

The same ticket is for both games, so one you

The same ticket is for both games, so one you leave the arena a buyer won't be able to get back in with your ticket.

Individual session tickets

Tickets for individual sessions are currently available on Stubhub.  I assume they are also available on other secondary market sites.  I expect that the B1G will offer single session tickets to the public as it gets closer to the event and all-session tickets do not sell out.
