IMHO if the administration isn’t on board it doesn’t really matter who you hire it’s going to be the same old same old. If this were me and I was the AD I would push to move the Ohio State game to earlier in the season ( I realize this won’t be popular but move the MSU game and OSU games). Then I would hire a coach that will recruit high end defensive tackles. Also like Urban Mayer says run offensive schemes to isolate mismatches for your best players. Like OSU and Bama or not but they have created a dog eat dog mentality don’t do your job get replaced. Once again this is just my opinion of where to start.
It’s called having a coach that knows how to get kids to the NBA. Hate to say it but most highly ranked basketball kids want to put on one to two years and go pro.

I’m not an NBA expert by any means but I know that being a good team mate and making the most of your opportunities goes a long way in the NBA. Duncan has balled out when called upon, I loved Nik but watching Duncan grow and succeed has been great never thought he would make it as an NBA player but happy as hell to see him succeed
The original question was a change in culture which I believe needs to come from our AD. I don’t think changing coaches is a good idea unless your going to bring in Lincoln Riley, Urban, Dabo, or Saban which non of the above are going to happen. So playing in the west may have us play OSU twice a year so be it.
Just my opinion but if I were Michigan’s AD I would request the team be moved to the west division and the Ohio State game be moved or I take my ball and go somewhere else. And for the love of god start scheduling cupcake games for out of conference play. I get it this may not be popular but I see what Clemson, BAMA, and OSU do every year schedule cupcake easy wins. These are changes that Ward should make ASAP. Just my two cents
Was it as bad as we are making it out to be no but here’s my two sense. No tempo being down 14 with four minutes to go and your hudling wait for a play that’s bad coaching. Getting burned again and again by a running QB how many times do you have to touch a hot stove before you learn damn that really hurts that’s bad coaching. Play action when the other team is blitzing bad coaching. There is work to be done mostly coaching mistakes. Lastly Ambry Thomas get the ball in that kids hands whatever it takes he is a star.
I live about 30 minutes from where Wandale plays his High School team is one of the worst in the state and he carries that team. He is a legit athlete with legit 4.3 speed his uncle is one of the best athletes the state has ever seen. Would compare him to Jordan Lewis
You won’t be able to recruit like Bama, Georgia, or OSU until you start winning and putting players in the NFL. Jim has shown he can put players in the NFL he just needs to win. Don’t kid yourself 5 stars players went beating down Bamas dirt until they started winning national Championships. Just win baby everything else will take care of itself
Friend of mine just had back surgery and was mowing his lawn the next day. Not saying it's the same type of surgery but not all back surgeries are super serious. And he's obviously not a college basketball player
Competition is the main reason OSU won the championship last year Myer runs a dog eat dog program during practice and conditioning we will see the same from Harbaugh and staff
I understand where your coming from but these coaches are still human beings and I'm happy RR found success somewhere and I don't think it was ever gonna happen at Michigan
It's Arkansas he took over for a mess created by Bobby "biker" Petrino and he just shut out ole miss the same ole miss who beat Alabama and LSU. He's struggled that's for sure be he's beat two top ten teams in a row and has he's team bowl eligible. He would be better than Les Miles in my opinion.
What about Bret Bielema he was a great coach at Wisconsin and has done well in the hardest division in college football it seems like me a perfect fit for both parties
When I was in highschool we used to practice this every ST practice. I played in Kentucky so it is legal here too, never thought I would ever see a team win ussing it though

Neg me all you want I come here to read about Michigan sports shut the **** up about politics!!!
Does McCarthy start day one?
It doesn’t give them all season to formulate a game plan. But like I said this is just my opinion and trust me no one is paying me for my opinion

Apparently they set up the entire team for failure. ?
Hunter D has much more skill then I expected. Mike Smith looks great and Brown looks hungry should be a fun season
Brandon Johns Jr. I said it first ??
Pat Narduzzi??

That Nebraska is one of the worst teams in the conference. Michigan needs to win big games on the road.
