OP, “don’t let the bastards…

OP, “don’t let the bastards get you down,” as they say.

Do some make a connection…

Do some make a connection between the legality of abortion and the prevalence of mass shootings? Is that a thing?

Genuine question.

It says he’s a human being…

It says he’s a human being who can be just as confused as the rest of us.

Knock it off. He’s a…

Knock it off. He’s a Michigan legend. He’s in over his head and it’s clear he’s fucked this up, but he’s invested more time, energy, and sweat in this program than all of us combined. I get it: it sucks when our teams are this embarrassing. But show some respect and keep your comments above the belt. He’s earned that.

It’s pretty fun to think…

It’s pretty fun to think about them being mentally incapable of seeing us win the NC: clenched fists…..squinting eyes….teeth grit…..jaw bulging ….. and the little guttural noise coming from the backs of their throats, a kind of whining tone that says “how can this be happening!?!?”

Oh it just makes me so happy.

Edit: Hey, sorry. Just realized you asked for desktop wallpapers and this is oriented for phone. Ah, well. Doesn’t hurt to see this great shot of the boys.

We love you, Donovan. So…

We love you, Donovan. So glad to have you another year. I hope it’s the kind of season you’ve always wanted - all your goals accomplished and you ride out of here feeling victorious.

Seems totally likely to be…

Seems totally likely to be legit. It’s a sad state of affairs that we assume people to be deceiving us in some way (often because they are), but we benefit when we recognize and appreciate sincerity when it’s in front of us.

And wuddya know the song…

And wuddya know the song still sucks.

This is some hack guy…

This is some hack guy starting rumors and people running with it because "journalism" 2023 has such high standards.

Respectfully, journalism 2023 does have some very high standards in most newsrooms. But sports “journalism” … that’s another matter altogether.

That’s not the issue. We…

That’s not the issue. We know they can (usually) methodically move down the field in 2-6 yard increments against even the best defenses. The issue is when we go up against a high scoring (or any non-B1G) opponent and need to score 45 points, and have big plays of 20+ yards, in order to win. Can our play callers and team do that against a good defense? That is less than clear. Hence the concern.

 Could not agree more. And…

Could not agree more. And with Michigan sports “journalists” egging us on. Have you heard the latest MGoBlog podcast with its frothing outrage over how we’ve been victimized? I couldn’t listen to more than a few minutes. I want to think we wouldn’t have defended JoePa if Jerry Sandusky was a Michigan coach, but this whole thing has me feeling pretty certain we would’ve done the exact same things we despised from Penn St fans.

”Power corrupts, and…

”Power corrupts, and absolute power corrupts absolutely.“

Says the guy arguing for us to exact retribution.

Jesus. What have we become?

Makes total sense. I mean,…

Makes total sense. I mean, people delete their twitter accounts all the time. In our football program, at least.

Ha! I am also not an alum —…

Ha! I am also not an alum — and I live out of state — so I feel your pain. But I’ll bet you can find a ticket without resorting to GeekTimeHub. Maybe this is your opportunity to make a new fan friend.

I’ll start the GoFundMe. Or…

I’ll start the GoFundMe. Or maybe propose to Harbaugh and create a HoneyFund?

Please be true please be…

Please be true please be true please be true

Hell yes. Love you, coach.

Hell yes. Love you, coach.

I’m down.

I’m down.

Which is why the odds the data was obtained illegally is basically nil. This isn’t WWII.

It honestly sounds like Stalions was probably keeping all of this on a non-university drive (i.e. Google Drive or Dropbox) and probably gave access to a whistle-blower.

THIS. Precisely this. I don’t know why we’re all picturing ninja-style Navy Seals (no pun intended) dropping out of the skylights to steal a hard drive when this is far and away the more plausible scenario. I mean, the guy bought dozens of tickets in his own name. Why do we think this person kept the data sealed inside four vaults and therefore it must’ve been “stolen” to make its way into the hands of investigators?

And for those saying other athletic departments are pathetic: if Ohio State was filming all our games and suddenly beating us out of nowhere then you know you’d want Warde Manuel to investigate the hell out of this. C’mon, people — take off the M blinders.

Why do you say it’s stolen?…

But in this scenario that isn’t the case. They received stolen information. That is illegal regardless of authorization.

Why do you say it’s stolen? Where is the evidence or source of information warranting that choice of words?

These are all the same…

These are all the same thoughts I have. Verbatim. Which sucks! I want to wish it away. I want to believe there’s some explanation for this that can’t be summarized as “overly-confident and reckless coaches risk it all for minimal advantage.” Although I’m actually not sure the advantages are minimal. This conversation with David Ubben & Ari Wasserman of The Athletic make it sound like Ubben has a piece coming out later this week with interviews from coaches around the NCAA saying this kind of intel would actually give Michigan a rather large advantage.

I am having trouble feeling good about any of our big wins in the last two and a half years, or even good about the program overall. I just hope something comes to light that can make me believe again. But at this point it looks grim.

Hey, don’t kill the…

Hey, don’t kill the messenger!

Sainristill: “The coaches…

Sainristill: “The coaches prepared us well. We knew what they were going to do.”

Hmmmm…

Couldn’t agree more.

Couldn’t agree more.

”Hello? Officer, I’d like to report a possible crime this Saturday in Spartan Stadium…..What?….No, no, ON the field…..yeah, during the game…I think one team may try to hurt someone on other team……Yeah, that’s what I said…… No, but……But……..But, sir, I’m a local sportscaster so I think I know what I’m talking about here……....Hello?”

100% agreed. OP, please…

100% agreed. OP, please include your unique and special thoughts in the Snowflakes threads. If you need a quick primer on Snowflakes, check here. They are wonderful.

And if you need to know what a message board without snowflake threads looks like — and see why snowflakes are a wonderful thing — check here.

I fuckin’ love Gibby. Only…

I fuckin’ love Gibby. Only when he’s on the air do I keep the radio off while watching Tigers games. You just don’t hear anything like him in broadcasting. It’s like hanging out with your kooky great uncle. He’s the best. To me, that is.

I’ve always loved what you…

I’ve always loved what you share here. This response may be the most impressive of all.

That’s not how it comes off…

That’s not how it comes off. It comes off as you attacking someone who’s concerned about bigotry, not as you being concerned about factual accuracy. And it also comes across as that being intentional, not incidental.

Those damn homophonic slurs…

Those damn homophonic slurs. Tone deafness - always getting people into trouble.

Yes. Potassium. Can’t…

Yes. Potassium. Can’t believe it took several posts for someone to say it. I suffered from terrible cramps every night until I started taking daily potassium citrate pills. These, specifically. Changed everything. GET THEM.

Yeah, I’m shocked more…

Yeah, I’m shocked more people don’t know about this. (And it looks shady AF — lots of popups and unwanted redirects, even with ad-blockers installed — but it’s harmless.)

Stream East has pretty much every sporting event streaming for free. Only thing missing is ability to do replays. If it had that, I wouldn’t pay a cent for anything linear on television.

Ding ding ding. Give the man…

Ding ding ding. Give the man a prize. This is why I can’t bring myself to believe Howard will take us back to the mountaintop.

So you’re saying our death…

So you’re saying our death will be a slow, painful one.

I am a HS teacher and can…

I am a HS teacher and can confirm: kids do not do email. They don’t even check it. It’s “for old people.” You can use a computer to send a message that a teen would actually read (texting can be done from a computer), but that wouldn’t be with email.

Agreed. Gotta give the guy…

Agreed. Gotta give the guy props for this at least.

Perhaps this might help us…

Perhaps this might help us see the wisdom of taking the play-calling reins out of the head coach’s hands.

I can’t bring myself to…

I can’t bring myself to watch bball yet. Still need time to recover from the TCU loss before I can emotionally handle watching us lose to teams like Central Michigan.

On Wednesday in B1G tourney?…

On Wednesday in B1G tourney? Whatchoo talkin bout, Willis?

Am I allowed to think about…

Am I allowed to think about it?

The restraint you exhibited…

The restraint you exhibited was actually very positive.

Dumb take. We don’t know all…

Dumb take. We don’t know all of what’s going on in these kids lives nor do we know what’s best for them.

Looks like you can get them…

Looks like you can get them for a lot less than what’s being quoted in this thread (around $150):
