It’s pretty fun to think about them being mentally incapable of seeing us win the NC: clenched fists…..squinting eyes….teeth grit…..jaw bulging ….. and the little guttural noise coming from the backs of their throats, a kind of whining tone that says “how can this be happening!?!?”

Seems totally likely to be legit. It’s a sad state of affairs that we assume people to be deceiving us in some way (often because they are), but we benefit when we recognize and appreciate sincerity when it’s in front of us.
That’s not the issue. We know they can (usually) methodically move down the field in 2-6 yard increments against even the best defenses. The issue is when we go up against a high scoring (or any non-B1G) opponent and need to score 45 points, and have big plays of 20+ yards, in order to win. Can our play callers and team do that against a good defense? That is less than clear. Hence the concern.
Could not agree more. And with Michigan sports “journalists” egging us on. Have you heard the latest MGoBlog podcast with its frothing outrage over how we’ve been victimized? I couldn’t listen to more than a few minutes. I want to think we wouldn’t have defended JoePa if Jerry Sandusky was a Michigan coach, but this whole thing has me feeling pretty certain we would’ve done the exact same things we despised from Penn St fans.

It honestly sounds like Stalions was probably keeping all of this on a non-university drive (i.e. Google Drive or Dropbox) and probably gave access to a whistle-blower.

I don’t know why we’re all picturing ninja-style Navy Seals (no pun intended) dropping out of the skylights to steal a hard drive when this is far and away the more plausible scenario. I mean, the guy bought dozens of tickets in his own name. Why do we think this person kept the data sealed inside four vaults and therefore it must’ve been “stolen” to make its way into the hands of investigators?
And for those saying other athletic departments are pathetic: if Ohio State was filming all our games and suddenly beating us out of nowhere then you know you’d want Warde Manuel to investigate the hell out of this. C’mon, people — take off the M blinders.

This conversation with David Ubben & Ari Wasserman of The Athletic make it sound like Ubben has a piece coming out later this week with interviews from coaches around the NCAA saying this kind of intel would actually give Michigan a rather large advantage.
I am having trouble feeling good about any of our big wins in the last two and a half years, or even good about the program overall. I just hope something comes to light that can make me believe again. But at this point it looks grim.

I fuckin’ love Gibby. Only when he’s on the air do I keep the radio off while watching Tigers games. You just don’t hear anything like him in broadcasting. It’s like hanging out with your kooky great uncle. He’s the best. To me, that is.
That’s not how it comes off. It comes off as you attacking someone who’s concerned about bigotry, not as you being concerned about factual accuracy. And it also comes across as that being intentional, not incidental.

Stream East has pretty much every sporting event streaming for free. Only thing missing is ability to do replays. If it had that, I wouldn’t pay a cent for anything linear on television.
I am a HS teacher and can confirm: kids do not do email. They don’t even check it. It’s “for old people.” You can use a computer to send a message that a teen would actually read (texting can be done from a computer), but that wouldn’t be with email.
I can’t bring myself to watch bball yet. Still need time to recover from the TCU loss before I can emotionally handle watching us lose to teams like Central Michigan.
