I'd tend to agree. This was an issue last year as well. If an entire off season of rest didn't resolve it, one would think shutting it down for the rest of the season would have a negative impact on his draft prospect.
Bosa was dealing with a new injury, not a chronic one...
Our resident MgoDocs probably know best, but it looked like he came out of the locker room with a DonJoy shoulder stabilizer brace. I noticed because my daughter wore the same thing.
If that's the case it could be a labrum issue. We obviously won't know until the pre-draft activities.
That's friends and family weekend for the students (events scheduled all over campus). I was told they want to avoid a night game as it caused a bunch of issues last year when the Minnesota game fell on that weekend.
It’s probably unsubstantiated, and more about opponent quality and road woes, but night games during the Harbaugh tenure have been rough... Kinneck, Happy Valley, MSU (2017), South Bend
Some of those things would work themselves out... but that comparison neglects a ton obstacles, such as Title IX. Most universities couldn't afford the costs of paying female athletes to comply.
It's funny that we're going to be hearing about the McKeon handoff being the worst play call in the history of organized sports for the next 6+ months. Had it resulted in anything but a turnover, it would have been long been forgotten.
No sane person expected a dominant offense this year, especially after losing Speight.
In reality the defense met, or exceeded, expectations. We were competitive in every game with the exception of Penn State. Almost everyone credible called for a regular season in the 9-3 to 7-5 range.
Daughter was accepted to LSA. She gave us her Wolverine portal account so we actually figured it out before she did. We barged into her varsity basketball practice with balloons and roses.
I'm not sure what the motivation was, but they moved him to QB for the first couple games this year. It makes breaking the receiving record that much more impressive.
Also, apparently Harbaugh is at the high school right now.
I think the frustration is with the reads (or lack thereof) and generally poor decision making. Even his best throw, to peoples-jones in triple coverage after avoiding a sack, could be chalked up as a poor decision.
That said, the inexperience at receiver is evident. It was nice to see Donovan get more looks and McDoom should be limited to end-arounds.
On the bright side, you can always close your eyes and think what it will look like in a couple years – People-Jones, Black, Collins and Martin!
Take away that 50 yard bust and the backs went for 49 yards on 24 carries (2 YPC).
The only concern I would have is Lewerke running free on busted plays. A couple of those were near sacks such as the first touchdown where Hurst almost had him in the backfield.
The only way we were going to win that game given the circumstances (weather) was to flip the field again and that’s not going to happen turning it over at mid-field constantly.
I understand criticizing the passes but they were stacking the box. Turnovers lost this one!
I guess they factored in Barrett's lack of deep ball accuracy.
Here’s a prediction… they drop a game early. Receivers bitch publicly about their lack of involvement. Urban brushes off the chatter outside the lockerroom and says "everyone needs to look in the mirror."
Worn down is the key... How many times has Floyd entered the ring against an opponent with more power?
This should hold the script where a power puncher gets frustrated by a master defenseman for 7-8 rounds, continuously gets pummeled, and eventually wears down. Floyd in 8 by KO.
McGregor is going to be a hot mess after this one.
We all hope to be that guy someday. I do wonder why the title comes with the privilege of prancing around the locker room buck naked for 30 minutes afterwards?!?
I don’t think losing the way we did is going to have a drastic impact. I do question how missing the playoff and performing fairly well (USC & Mich) is viewed vs. making it and laying an egg (OSU). It seems there's a lot of short-term memory.
I had the same observation regarding O'Korn's scrambles Satruday...
when he scrambles, he will sometimes turn his back to the defense in an effort to reverse field and avoid a sack
Speight has done a tremendous job avoiding pressure using a simple side step. Worst-case he goes down at contact vs. giving up an additional 5 yards doing circles.

Totally agree... everyone knows Stauskas identifies as a Canadian!

Or maybe he was at the game?
Did the broadcasters mention that? It wasn't evident watching it in person.

Awesome - the first of two victories against Northwestern (#25) this week!

Please no!

Was Minnesota the only win?
You're right... That's why it's more likely the NCAA will let athletes receive endorsements without losing their eligibility.

That was at least a bit entertaining. I kept picturing Robert Downey Jr. in Tropic Thunder when I read the posts... :)
I get it... Cholula hot take!
Try buying her flowers.
Every fan base has whack jobs. It seems to me that ours are spreading like Gremlins
So... stop feeding the fucking Mogwai after Midnight!!!
Problem I see

Definitely a day we'll never forget!
Go Blue!
Yeah - i wouldn't say that either. Mostly in fear LaMarr Woodley would hunt me down.

Does downvoting you result in eternal damnation?
If we don't win the Maui Invitational I'm going to be pissed!
Panda, Panda, Panda, Panda
Didn't even wait for his draft grade.
47.08. Keep it up!
Do you have all the details? Maybe she banged a rugby team and spent all his money on Amazon Prime?

Not a woman you want to piss off!
"No offense to Speight"... "No offense with Speight"... "No offense without Speight"... Theme?
Damn you double post!

Your comment, followed by a quick glance at your avatar, is the perfect combination.
I get the frustration, but man...

and tater tot?
Nah, they're good. The sunglasses stayed in the boat! That's a tell-tale sign.
Unfortunately several beers were lost.
Yep, it's no Slippery Rock...
Agreed. If the game was at the Big House i'd give us the slight edge.
Tough sledding being one of their white out games.

65-year-old dude at the YMCA... Love it!

Yep, always pick a bye week... So young and naive!
Forever a bust in my eyes… He ruined my wedding night with that fumble late against NW!
Bush would fall under definitely Sophmore...
Bummer! Although the writing was on the wall for Jabrill, I was hoping his depature would encourage Willie to come take over at viper.
It gets the people going!

I don’t see the problem here, I’ve seen that same move applauded a hundred times.
Wait…. That was UFC...
I hope he’s not the aquatic version of Punxsutawney Phil. That furry little bastard gets my hopes up every February!
E-40 says...?
Definitely jaw dropping and a tad bit different than the Walker highlights last year where people were nitpicking!
Why hurdle one defender on a run when you can hurdle two!
Is that considered targeting?
