Sadly, Denard will probably be the last one (to grace the cover of the NCAA CFB video game)
Here is a great story over on Yahoo about Denard being the last cover character on the NCAA CFB video game. It goes into how he really got into gaming early and saw his virtual and real world meet. Cool read if you like this human interest type stuff.
My apologies if it has already been posted or is off topic.

I'm sure the game will be back at some point.

There's too much money to be made for it not to return.
October 23rd, 2015 at 9:56 PM ^
From the numbers I have seen, the NCAA games did not make that much money at all. I would bet EAsports was pretty happy to be able to pull the game and not have to worry about taking the blame.

which I believe we're 8k copies for live 16, 1% of the nba game sales, nba 2k literally sold 99% of the nba games this year.
EA needs to bring back mvp baseball along with NCAA football.

The fact that the one decent baseball game is a PlayStation exclusive is killing me. I love video game baseball, but own an DBox and so I have to wait until the world makes sense again.

I'm playing NCAAF 14 right now as we speak. Favorite game

A purportedly Michigan fan, from Omaha, playing with...Kansas?
October 23rd, 2015 at 11:02 PM ^
I always play as small, trashy teams. Idaho, Wyoming, Kansas, Air Force, Michigan St. Plus, my sister attends college at Kansas.

I could play as Michigan State...
if I were trying to lose by 100 points.
October 24th, 2015 at 9:09 AM ^
you can only play as a Michigan dynasty for so long... we've all won our 15 national titles with Michigan, then you move on to something more challenging. In my favorite dynasty, I worked my way from Florida Atlantic to a sanction riddled and winless Georgia Tech team and then turned them into one of the greatest powers in college football.
October 23rd, 2015 at 11:03 PM ^
I won it with temple my first year as just an offensive coordinator.

They probably will interview you for a vacancy this winter

I found the recruiting to be difficult in that one. Other than that I though it was awesome.
October 23rd, 2015 at 10:25 PM ^
I actually like the recruiting better than in previous years when you had to sit threw a whole "phone call" with each recruit every week

I left the Rick Roll, or at least the MGoEquivalent of it. We deserve that much right now, I feel.
Of course, I posted a song to convey a message in the Mod Sticky. My own way of joining in, I suppose.

I find it really hard to like Denard honestly he always stares his man down hardcore and made awful throws, unless the opponent was MACtion or some body with poor defense.
He could have been the best PR/KR since Desmond Howard. I also felt if Tate would have stayed Hoke would have had an easier transition to the Pro style offense.
The only time I remember a credible big time pass was to Roundtree against ND with :3 to go
October 23rd, 2015 at 10:02 PM ^
I think Denard was a fantastic representative for the University of Michigan. Kid was all class and always smiling. I do think he was overrated however and I wouldn't put him no where near the legend status.
October 23rd, 2015 at 10:05 PM ^
"Wouldn't put him no where near the legend status" I wouldn't not say this makes sense

October 23rd, 2015 at 10:08 PM ^
Denard was the key to those teams. Debate his passing skills all you want, but he was an incredible football player who could create a highlight reel on any play.

Denard was and is a great representative of Michigan on and off the field in every way. Denard is a legend in every way the word is used is this context.

CSB: I finally pulled the trigger on my Shoelace Foundation tee in the moments after the thing that happened last Saturday. I usually stress about spending, even on something small like that, but it made me feel better. Arrived today and can't wait to wear it.

denard was legendary compared to the complete crap that was happening around him. He made those teams watchable. For that, he deserves respect.

I find it really hard to find a logical statement made with your post... Denard was our whole team during those years I would kill to see him suiting up for U of M this year (though probably not at qb- actually take that back if Denard could hit one deep ball during a whole season he would be better than rudock). Big playmakers like him are one thing we are lacking this year

I was told to never enter into a battle of wits against an unarmed opponent and I Will stick to it. If you didn't like watching Denard and don't think he was the one thing keeping the offense afloat those first couple of Brady years, I have nothing for you.
October 24th, 2015 at 5:45 PM ^
what our record would have been without Denard....we owe a lot of victories to him and you are a huge Moron for saying you find it hard to like him. You don't even know him, punk.

Video games passed me by when Super Mario Brothers 3 came out for the original Nintendo. Still, I bought the game and never opened because Denard is on the cover.

Someone needs to make a college football game, even if it's not EA.
...or at least make a version like Ultimate Team, where it uses the colleges and players that have already graduated, to avoid those compensation issues with student athletes.

Making these games again would be fantastic. Just let the players make money off of stuff like this and apparel. Keep the athletic departments out of it.

So you would take Rudock over Denard in this system? I'd take DRob any day over Rudock. At least Denard hit the deep ball.
