Merry Christmas Mgoblog!

Submitted by sdogg1m on

The day is here. Share your plans, what you accomplished, what you want, and what you got on this special day.

I will be spending my day at Mott's Children's Hospital thankful that my daughter pulled through another surgery. The hospital is the best on planet earth and I am thankful for it.

Merry Christmas to all you! May your holidays be wonderful and may we also experience one more Michigan victory this season.

Dear 8 pound 6 oz Baby Jesus, all I want for Christmas is a win for Michigan in the Outback Bowl and an embarrassing loss for MSU.

This will be my dad's last Christmas as he hasn't eaten even a quarter of a meal in the last 7 days.  He is 88 and the end is near.  Don't take time with family for granted and tell your dad you love him.

Went ice skating with my mom, dad, wife, brother, sister-in-law, and 2 nephews on the ribbon at Maggie Daley park this morning, had some mulled wine, then just hung out with me and the Mrs. for the rest of the day. Heading up to Evanston to watch the nephews open their presents tomorrow (or this) morning. Then we are going to just kinda hang out all day and be a family.

It's my favorite part about this solstice fest. Everyone gets together, slows down, and celebrates life.

Edit: I more thoroughly read through your OP after I made my original post. What good news to have on a day of celebration. Best wishes to you and yours.

Im so sorry buddy.  Merry Christmas to your family and everyone on here.  I will vouch for Motts the best hosipital around.  I had Meningitis when I was 9 years old and I am still around.  Hope everyone is having a good early Christams

Going to be bitter cold this week, but I am grateful to be with my awesome wife, three great kids and the best pup in the world, who is nestled next to me in bed (until the wife kicks him out).

Go Blue and happy holidays to all!

We ended up getting snow here at JBLM for Christmas and it sure was a nice surprise. Merry Christmas everyone!

You're in good hands.  My daughter was born at Mott five weeks premature, and it was pretty smooth other than the first few moments before she began to breathe.  About 10 of the staff went into action and quickly did their magic.  She's in college now.  It'll always be a special place for me.  Thanks for the reminder of what's important.  Merry Christmas, my MGoBros.

Sitting in my office this morning with the kid snuggled up, waiting for mom to wake up and come upstairs.  Is it mean that I told him all the presents were for mom and I?

Merry Christmas, MgoPeeps!!!  (Especially to all the kids parked in hospitals this morning - that's no way to spend Christmas...)

Merry Christmas Mgoblog, I went through something similar with my dad years ago and it's not easy seeing the family pillar of strength go through that hang in there and spend as much time as you can with him

I got up early, cleared the snow from my driveway, walk way, and the sidewalks (using my new, electric, cordless, EGO snow blower), fed my daughter’s bunny, had a cup of hot tea, and settled in for a great, slow morning.

We are headed to my in-laws’ house this afternoon for some family celebration time.

As Tiny Tim observed, “God bless us all, every one.”

Merry Christmas Mgoblog.

As I get older, I'm appreciating a nice quiet Christmas with my wife.  Couldn't be happier.

Go Blue!

Merry Christmas!

Thoughts and prayers for your daughter sdogg1m.

We were going to travel to my BIL's, but weather is changing that to visiting a SIL here in Grand Rapids.

I would prefer to just sit and read  - quietly.

Sending tidings of comfort, joy and peace to all who might have suffered personal losses during the past year, all who might be struggling with illnesses and injuries suffered during the past year, and all who just might be feeling sad.

Here's hoping that even if you're feeling a little down today, you’ll still find something to smile about today, and that regardless of the holidays you celebrate, you’ll do so in good health and peace.

As for my day, with snow and ice cleared from the driveway, walkways and deck, I'll be enjoying the traditional Christmas Day for non-Christians -- a movie and Chinese food for dinner.
