Hello: Greg Crippen
Positive news can still happen? /s
Greg Crippen, 4 star Offensive Guard from IMG Academy in FL, has committed to the good guys.
Darn, you just beat me out. Well here’s his twitter post
and 247 link
He’s listed as OG but most likely Michigan is recruiting him for OC so we’re probably not going to be recruiting in state OC Raheem Anderson moving forward.
Love the M in his typeface.
His last name pairs well with our home uniforms
Crips?
Not sure I get this.
Still Crippen
More likely trippin'
Still crippen on 4 vogues
So nice we got eem TWICE!!! Go Blue!
Hard hittin' Greg Crippen!
With Spindler and Tiernan still possibilities, our OL class in 2021 could be one of our best in recent memory.
Is Spindler for sure playing on the offensive side?
Welcome, young man!
I hate to point this out, but that might have been the longest gap between commits I've ever experienced as a fan. Hopefully, this starts a rush of commits to the good guys.
Can we call him Vitamin C? Because he's giving me hope in this difficult time.
Searching the biomedical literature right now for reviews of Greg Crippen... I'll let you know if I find any randomized controlled trials with positive data that supersedes anecdotal and possibly misleading Crippen one-off data.
Until then, don't be trippin' with Crippen.

People, don't listen to this man: Do not attempt to ingest Greg Crippen.
Welcome and best wishes for great academic and athletic success at UM!
Here's my write-up on him if anyone's interested (LINK).
I was way more excited before I read that.

Magnus.
I have been following your evaluations for years now and it seems like you put in quite a bit of time evaluating these players. Your accuracy ratio seems really good.
Do you ever share your evaluations with Michigan coaches? How do you choose who to follow besides Michigan offers? Do you have a few examples of notable misses? Both kids that exceeded your expectations and kids who did not meet them?
Thanks for your contributions.
Thank you.
I don't ever share my evaluations with Michigan coaches. I don't think they would pay any attention.
I follow a lot of national recruiting guys from all regions of the country, so I check out lots of guys who get national recruiting attention. And if they visit Michigan (even without an offer), I almost always check them out just to see if I think they'll be getting an offer on the visit. And within the State of Michigan, I check out pretty much any guy who gets a Power 5 offer.
Off the top of my head, guys I've missed on (for various reasons):
- Patrick Kugler (thought he would be good; he wasn't)
- Nick Eubanks (thought he would be buried on the bench/transfer because of Asiasi; he's starting now)
- Drake Harris (thought he would be good; he wasn't)
- Michael Ferns (thought he would be good; yikes, I was wrong)
- Jeremy Clark (thought he would be bad; he was good, but who saw that coming?)
Some of my misses can be explained, at least partially, by injury. For example, Harris could have been better if not for the repeated hamstring injuries. I also thought Chris Bryant, Chris Fox, and Antonio Poole would have better careers than they did, but knee injuries to the first two and a shoulder injury for Poole cut their careers way short.
So just like the recruiting sites, I have my fair share of misses for various reasons. My ratings are also team-dependent, so in the case of someone like Eubanks, I would have rated him higher if not for Asiasi being in that class.
Drake Harris sure seemed like he had all of the tools to be special. It seemed like his body never matured.
We currently hold the highest recruiting average of all teams according to 247 rankings. This class may not be quantity but it seems its headed towards high quality players.
Yeah, that won’t last.
You must have forecasted the latest commit
Please tell me you’re being sarcastic. If not this is the dumbest post of the year.
If you're referring to me, I was being snarky because Putin said it wouldn't last and we got a commit from a guy low in the rankings shortly thereafter. I dont know anything about the kid, so def not bagging on him.

Hello and welcome to the family! A top 250 player and another piece of the OL that has finally become a strength for UM again.
