I still think he would have been a star if he hadn't had those injuries. He was a very good runner, had a really good arm, and was smart.  (Without the injuries he'd probably be Michigan's starter with Cade/JJ preparing to fight it out for the job next year.)

I know this wasn’t your intent but stuff like this kind of insults recruits’ intelligence.  These kids are smart enough to know not to base suck an important decision on one data point.  Hell, Domani almost committed last year on the Wisconsin visit.

Now of course it would be a huge help if we won since the atmosphere would be bananas and it would show that he can win big here.  But I don’t think a loss would really tank out chances

Wiltfong ends up correct a lot, but he has self admitted that he puts in picks more based on a heat check of the current feeling. If Jackson were committing tomorrow, it’d be pretty much over. Assuming a final commitment will extend until after the season, there’s quite a bit of time for him to change his pick, as he frequently does.

Sam Webb mentioned Jackson in one of his recruiting roundups last week and he wasn't his usual optimistic self when discussing Alabama's position in the recruitment.

It would be disappointing not to get him but as long as he doesn't end up at OSU I'm not going to lose any sleep over it.

That’s awesome. So did Dax Hill.  Then he verbally committed to Alabama and faxed his signed letter right to Ann Arbor on signing day. Seems like Alabama has that immediate ‘shock and awe’ effect on guys after visits. The fact Michigan will be bringing him to town weeks before signing day is the biggest deal in this race even if he verbals to Alabama tomorrow.
