Despite what was posted here previously by umbig11, Sam Webb says Chuck Filiaga not entering transfer portal.  Very good news.

You haven’t been paying close attention. He’s often vague, or hedges, enough that he’s not “wrong” but he’s told some whoppers - Rashan shutting it down for the nfl being a prime example.

He clearly has limited access to inside info, but he also shoots from the hip and loves that you guys kiss his ass.

That's kind of what I expect from an insider, though.

What I mean by that is the people who have access to the information we want are generally on the coaching staff--and they're not going to be posting that shit on message boards. Even a player (although obviously in better position to hear gossip about other players) may not know that much outside of what's happening in their position group simply because the coaches may not tell them.

So any insider is going to be posting a lot of rumors and hedging what they say because their source may not know the whole story. Sam Webb and Angelique Chengelis probably hear the same things, but often can't repeat them for various reasons (they can't verify the information or don't want to piss off the coaches).

umbig11 is now on the 247 board exclusively but even people over there are questioning him after that thread on here where he was exposed.

umbig11 has given many, many enjoyable inside scoop tidbits and is a verified (by mgoblog and a few posters here) insider.  the fact that he may have been wrong on occasion is inconsequential - he gives what he gets and we are better for having that info.

the fact that he may have pitched a fit about some posters is so trivial relative to the value he brings, and for that matter, if pitching a fit on this blog was any measure of the posters then a whole bunch of posters here would be run off the blog over a cliff.
