Muy Bueno! Viva la Bacon!

Something's amiss here. Last week he mentioned in a comment to one of his articles that he had the opportunity to have a press pass, but turned it down. So, is he now accepting that invite?

John U. Bacon · Follow · Lecturer at Medill School of Journalism, Northwestern University · 1,606 followersThree UM Regents have offered to restore my press pass this season, and I've declined. Why? Because it doesn't matter. By your logic, all Brandon has to do is pull every reporter's press pass, and none of them could write anything without a reader like you accusing them of bias. Further, I did appear on talk shows, including my own. You, sir, have absolutely no idea what you're talking about. Steve, thank you.

I knew it was revoked at one point, but don't know why. Someone explain, please.

IIRC, it was Fourth and Long that actually did it.

It was Three and Out. Michigan didn't give him any access for Fourth and Long.
November 1st, 2014 at 2:03 PM ^
Yes, but I believe he still had a press pass after Three and Out - just not inside access. Fourth and Long cost him even the press pass.

Does Rosenberg have a press pass? Most people on this very same blog wanted that pulled. How is it different? Both reported on instances that made the athletic department look bad

You really don't see the difference between Rosenberg and Bacon?

This feels like the end of the remake of Red Dawn. I picture Bacon as the guy at the very end running with the American Flag after everyone has been let free.

Sidenote: my ex worked on that movie set as an animal handler.

Actually, it's been depressingly easy to wrangle Wolverines this season. Here's hoping that yesterday's news helps to change that for the future.

While this is true, both Red Dawns were awesome. I mean, Josh Peck in a co-starring role was pretty epic. Anyway, I also like WD's original point.....John U earned the right to rally the troops while waving a giant "M" banner.

I heard that he'd actually been offered his pass back (by the Regents) before the season but he declined to accept it in protest. Now that DB is gone he's taken up the offer.

Well, it's certainly an interesting "coincidence" then.
The Regents offered him that pass back before the season . . . why would he only take them up on it now, for the Indiana game?
I think he is choosing the path of discretion on Brandon now, to his credit.
