This evening, I had an Ohio State University graduate at my front door. But, I got him to leave…by paying for the pizza. #Michigan #GoBlue

Must have left East Landfill after his Junior year to get his “degree”
November 10th, 2023 at 9:55 PM ^
Was he complaining the other pizza drivers speed and that’s why he was late?
November 10th, 2023 at 9:38 PM ^
Can we door dash some Mr Spots to him?
November 10th, 2023 at 9:55 PM ^
The case is before Judge Kunhke, a former Michigan undergraduate.
November 10th, 2023 at 9:16 PM ^
Now that's due process.
November 10th, 2023 at 9:16 PM ^
Fucking love Timothy P. Connors

Freddie P Soft, Meet Timothy P Connors
November 10th, 2023 at 9:43 PM ^
Judge Connors will do the right thing. I have been before him dozens of times and my confidence level is high. Even if he bends over backwards to not appear to be a homer, Michigan's case is so strong as to breach of contract and lack of due process that I can't see him denying the TRO.
November 10th, 2023 at 9:46 PM ^
He should do that band trick where he bends over backwards and touches his tall Michigan hat on the ground
November 10th, 2023 at 9:16 PM ^
Interesting. Will check back after midnight then!
November 10th, 2023 at 10:15 PM ^
I want to be very happy at 9:01 pm on the West Coast here.
Then moreso at 12:30 pm local time tomorrow!
#MichiganDifference
November 10th, 2023 at 9:16 PM ^
Not great that the team doesn't know what to expect tomorrow morning
November 10th, 2023 at 9:20 PM ^
I mean, I think they're confident that the former UM football player and current UM adjunct professor is going to rule a certain way in this case.
This is UM playing the long game to make sure Harbaugh isn't blocked for the rest of the regular season, which I'm sure gives them some piece of mind.
November 10th, 2023 at 9:22 PM ^
The idea that this entire contingency plan wasn't already aligned is laughable. I'm sure Harbaugh and the players were all aware that if they tried to pull this shit, a plan to get a TRO was already laid out.
November 10th, 2023 at 9:33 PM ^
That's why you hire a high-powered law firm.
November 10th, 2023 at 10:17 PM ^
This shit is a part of life. I have no doubt these Michigan Men will take care of business tomorrow.
Go Blue!

We are playing 4D chess. Love it.
November 10th, 2023 at 9:18 PM ^
Shuster is a Twitter jackhammer. Love it.

I have a new lesson plan for my US Government class covering the courts now!

See you at 12:01 EST bitches.
Bet.
November 10th, 2023 at 9:34 PM ^
12:01. Guess I'm drinking tonight.
Bet
November 10th, 2023 at 10:06 PM ^
Kevin?
November 10th, 2023 at 9:19 PM ^
Is that Timothy P. ConnorS(talions)?
November 10th, 2023 at 9:19 PM ^
Am I out of line for being a little nervous that a Michigan grad judge might not want to risk looking biased and this could end up backfiring?
November 10th, 2023 at 9:21 PM ^
No. Based on the obvious lack of objectivity recently, the lines are blurred.
November 10th, 2023 at 9:22 PM ^
He'd look no more biased than a conference that claimed it was punishing Michigan, not Jim Harbaugh, by only suspending Jim Harbaugh for games after making a big show about how they cared deeply about player safety and the huge advantage this sign stealing gained by Michigan despite the fact Stalions hasn't been on the staff going on 3 weeks now.
If the TRO request is anything like the letter UM sent the conference a couple days ago this is a super easy decision by the judge.
November 10th, 2023 at 9:28 PM ^
In my Honest E-pinion, a Judge has more to lose by ruling based on favoritism, than the 8 month old B1G commish that's getting pressured by, what, 6-11 schools?
He made the conference a bunch of money but forgot where his bread is buttered. Quantity<Quality.
November 10th, 2023 at 9:40 PM ^
The Big Ten signed the big TV contract in 2022, when Warren was still commissioner. Pettiti was just around for the revision post-Oregon/Washington.
November 10th, 2023 at 9:22 PM ^
It could. Judge still has to give a good reasoning. It doesn't matter which Judge. One side or the other is going to claim that the Judge is biased. So, why not UM Judge. I would rather take my chances with UM Judge than any Judge who went to a B1G school or Harvard.
November 10th, 2023 at 10:24 PM ^
I'd rather have a UM grad judge than a tOSU or, worse, EL A & M judge.
November 10th, 2023 at 9:24 PM ^
Not out of line, and not beyond the realm of possibility, but very unlikely. Even if Judge Connors believed that his TRO would get appealed immediately and/or the B1G would seek relief in, for example, the Eastern District of MI (i.e. Federal Court), it would not occur until after tomorrow's game. The legal motions and filings, hearings, etc., alone, would require several days to complete.
November 10th, 2023 at 9:26 PM ^
Tony Paul of the Detroit News was suggesting a recusal might be coming.
David Shuster suggested the judge may have to recuse himself at the trial, but not necessarily for granting restraining order.
November 10th, 2023 at 9:32 PM ^
If that happens, the Executive Board should do the same. 75 percent of the board makes up 67 percent of our remaining opponents.
Math means that sucks.
November 10th, 2023 at 9:39 PM ^
Who is on the executive board?
November 10th, 2023 at 9:49 PM ^
2x PSU members, 1 x OSU, and a side-piece from Northwestern.
November 10th, 2023 at 9:46 PM ^
I keep tweeting this at various media members but they are obviously ignoring it. Seems like a huge deal.
November 10th, 2023 at 9:29 PM ^
I doubt it. It's only a TRO. He's not deciding the entire validity of the case or the investigation.
November 10th, 2023 at 9:31 PM ^
An airline pilot will tell you that a plane is a faster way to go from New York City to Los Angeles than a bus.
Is he biased? Yes.
Is he right? Yes.
No brainer.
November 10th, 2023 at 9:32 PM ^
The time for civility is over. The B10 pissed off everyone at UM with the bs. At this point I doubt it’s about football and more about the B10 needing to realize who actually runs the B10
November 10th, 2023 at 9:32 PM ^
It's just a temporary order. Not a precedent. Also, I imagine it would greatly enhance his reputation in Washtenaw county which is where he is a judge.
November 10th, 2023 at 9:38 PM ^
My entire legal basis is from a WCC class I took. Criminal Evidence and Procedure. Taught by the ~reputible J. Cedric Simpson, Judge in 14A.
Our final grade was on a mock trial, held in his actual court room. I single handedly won my case, after which he told me that my side rarely wins. Then we smoked cigarettes right outside his chambers.
EDIT: I won by calling a Consumers Report article hearsay, as it was the basis of the defensive argument that the vehicle caused the death, not the driver.
November 10th, 2023 at 9:43 PM ^
I have a hard time believing the case will stay with a Michigan professor who played football at Michigan.
