Michigan/IU night game - What's on tap tomorrow drink and food wise?
TGIF! Tomorrow's game is huge in more ways than 1. This team has so much to play for and coaches are feeling it whether they admit it or not. Having said that, what is on tap at your house drink and food wise for the 7:30 PM kick off tomorrow?
Home made fried chicken with all sorts of sides as well as sweet tea (non drinker here). Can't wait for the game! Looking forward to all of the replies and Go Blue! Support the TEAM

I thought Cade is cooking for all of us?
November 5th, 2021 at 4:28 PM ^
According to the earlier post, we are supposed to let him cook! I think he should be cooking for us tomorrow. Wonder what he's serving?

Roosted Hoosier? To which I say, thanks for cooking that, but I'll pass.
November 5th, 2021 at 6:31 PM ^
Roosted Hoosier is the poor cousin of the Cleveland Steamer.

Some BLT pizza from Pizza Cottage. The greatest BLT Pizza ever!! Football game followed by a massive ufc fight. I’m looking forward to tomorrow night.
November 5th, 2021 at 5:01 PM ^
BLT pizza is the greatest thing in the world!
. . . except for a nice mutton lettuce & tomato, when the mutton is nice and lean, and the tomatoes ripe? So perky, I just love that.

I was always partial to Jet's version.
November 5th, 2021 at 10:29 PM ^
I’ll need to try that. Pizza Cottage is a central Ohio thing but they are starting to move jets in all over the place down here too

Probably a stadium hot dog and a pretzel.
November 5th, 2021 at 4:31 PM ^
I'm making ziti and meatballs, sausage, and mushrooms tonight, so leftovers of that. It's always good (better?) the next day!

Taco Bell and Blatz.
November 5th, 2021 at 4:33 PM ^
Grilled chicken and veggies and probably some Basil Hayden's Dark Rye - a rye blend with a touch of port, for those that may be unfamiliar. Usually make an Old Fashioned.
November 5th, 2021 at 4:35 PM ^
Guinness to drink. The answer will always be Guinness. Kinda covers the food part too.
November 5th, 2021 at 4:41 PM ^
Probably be too busy trying to figure out why this is a 7:30 kick off while last week was 12. Can't eat with all that on the mind.

Throwing a pork butt and some ribs on the smoker in the AM. Ribs should be done for lunch and pulled pork for dinner. Maybe throw some queso on the smoker for an afternoon snack.
No plans for drink yet, probably some pumpkin beers during yard work before settling into some bourbon for the game.

Lunch: Ribs,
Dinner: pulled pork
Snack: queso

How will you season your pork butt and ribs?
November 5th, 2021 at 11:25 PM ^
My go-to for pork is the Gospel from Meat Church, although I've been meaning to try their Honey Hog Hot. Yellow mustard binder on the butt, no binder on the ribs. My wife also has this cherry pork rib that she likes ( Three Little Pigs Touch of Cherry), so I'll add that to her half of the rack of ribs.
I'm a no-wrap guy, just throw it on, spritz every hour or two, and let 'er ride.

Slow cooked turkey chili and Founders Centennial IPA is on the menu at my house! Go Blue!!

I have bone-in, skin-on chicken thighs that will be going on to my Weber Grills Kettle for some mesquite smoke and then turned into smoked chicken tacos. Giddy up.

Bun bo hue with a Heineken. Springbank 12 cask strength after. How much will be based on how the game goes.

Pure grain alcohol and rain water.

Mexican theme. Carne, pollo, guac, ceviche, keg of modelo and margs. Pool and spa are ready.
Go Blue.

Braised short ribs with polenta. Since I'm lazy, I'll braise the short ribs in an Instant Pot and cook the polenta in a rice cooker.
After walking home from the stadium: apple pie with ice cream.

Gotta have jalapeno cornbread, OP.
November 5th, 2021 at 5:55 PM ^
Pork shoulder should be done in about 30 minutes. Will whip up some green Chile cornbread and some jalapeño creamed corn tomorrow. Sippin on some Heady Topper. I might have to make some sweet tea too now that you mentioned it OP!

With the recent cold spell I'm taking my $4.00 day after Easter ham out of the freezer and making a huge batch of both split pea and bean soups. Prob down some leftover Oktoberfests as well.

Some homemade pizza and a good bottle of Zin from Sonoma County, CA. The winery name is Bella!
November 5th, 2021 at 6:23 PM ^
Will be making some pizzas at home and depleting whatever Miller Lites and All Day IPAs I have left.
November 5th, 2021 at 6:23 PM ^
We're not in Ann Arbor but my plan for my husband and I is to get Chicago's version of chipati's from a place called Pockets. It's a close match to the one Pizza House used to make back in my day. Either that or a bibimbap, which I used to get at Steve's Lunch. Just something with an Ann Arbor connection. A few weeks ago, I made a Zingerman's Georgia Reuben and it wasn't half bad.

Joes Pizza and John Daly’s. If I feel motivated to make anything other than a drink, buffalo chicken dip.

Pork Butt will go in the crock pot at about 7:30 AM, and then I will head to the Border War in Laramie, WY tomorrow. After the game, come home, finish the carnitas, and it’s taco time with the night game. I got married in New Orleans last weekend and I am not so sure I will be drinking this weekend. Maybe some Coca-Cola and some of the green stuff.
