Have to say, I wasn't really thinking about the ring(s) the team earned last year. Was that a box set they just showed for them? Undefeated B1G season champs, BTC champs, Rose Bowl Champs and National Champs - that's a very nice legacy to recognize in the rings!
I think it would be more relevant for a House tweet to reference PSU and sad field goals. Or perhaps going for two and failing when the game is already out of reach.
I don't Hart's stock will be damaged by staying and coaching at Reigning National Champion Michigan Football. We also don't know much about his relationship with Moore or what he's being offered in terms of role. It's not just chess pieces based on title, these are people playing key roles together in a team setting.
Instead of us all complaining about Michigan's refusal to lean heavily on play action, we'll all complain about their refusal to lean heavily on QB Oh Noes.
I'm with you, except I skipped to the last page of comments to see if I should even bother with the first 3 pages, let alone the game itself. So, five comments in and I'm done. Good night and go Blue, everyone!
I believe you believe that. But I have to wonder if maybe there's a bit more to it. What nostalgic call-back is the "Ole" in "Ole Miss" longing for, do you ever wonder? What is it that they're rebelling against?
If you watch the Rutgers clip Bronxblue embedded above for the Cade to CoJo toss, a play or two later there's a nice throw to Sainristil wearing the number 19. Also some Corum run and a Giles Jackson KO return TD. Wild to see some of these players back in that game.
Thank you, Brian. You and your MGoBlog team have cultivated and nurtured a whole lot of feels about Michigan sports and our individual and collective experiences of them. It's been a journey!
Hey, I'm fine with the negs. I saw the fair use warning but guess I missed the part about it being some of JJ's random HS exploits. They weren't put in context and I stand by my complaint that the ramblings of any random Bama fan don't mean much at this point, particularly when his primary evidence of the graciousness (than you) of UM fans were a few tweets from other random fans.
I don't understand why this was posted. I couldn't get past the first few minutes of him rambling and showing game clips from some random high school game that's not even referenced. Were those highlights from someone on Michigan's team? On Alabama's? WTF?
Is dickdastardly actually mattthegreat or whomever it was that made that craptastic video?
I can only blame myself, I guess, for clicking on this link. In my defense, I'm just hungering for more MgoContent leading into tomorrow's game.
I was in the MMB when Harbaugh was QB and the had the pleasure of going to 2 Rose Bowls, M coming up short in both. These pics wonderfully capture what feels like a long-awaited redemption - dare I say an actual return to glory? Thanks for executing your craft so well and sharing with us all!
I had the same thought. And I have to believe that will become more part of NIL/players-as-employees considerations down the road. Have to believe the transfer rules will get tied into it as well. I can't fault players for opting out in the current system, but the money folks will increase their expectations as they are forced to share more of the pie.
Gap or zone blocking: [NOTE: We are re-naming this section "Gap or zone blocking" instead of its old "basketball on grass vs. Manball" title because it was too confusing and too often becomes an area of debate in the comment section
I like the thought, but it doesn't seem as college football is trending in a direction where academics will be much of a consideration for players, viewers, alumni, casual fans, et al. I don't think we can look at Maalik Murphy's decision and conclude college football is once again prioritizing and valuing the college degree available to the players.

They have a box with a few dozen assorted versions behind their couch?
Ol' Skillet Hands? Or am I misremembering?
It's almost impossible to be that bad.

and misplaced commas
There are three (3!) B10 teams projected with worse offenses. It's unimaginable.
Leaders AND Best?
Well, that helps me feel even more positive about it all!
Sounds like it could work... if OSU can develop a run-blocking O-line.
I think it would be more relevant for a House tweet to reference PSU and sad field goals. Or perhaps going for two and failing when the game is already out of reach.
If you believe everything said in a press release is the uncolored truth, that's on you I guess.
Lame joke attempt and a double post - and after I said no whammies! Sheesh.
Uh, hello? Tic Tac Dough sounds like the perfect background for the NIL era. C'mon big money, no whammies!
I come from the future with a bit of bad news...

Michigan 2024 Opponents:
So, Texas and OSU are legit scary, then who? Washington with a new coach and QB coming off a destruction in the NC?
Oregon replacing a 7-year starter at QB? That one, maybe, as they have a proven excellent coach.
Then who - USC? Northwestern may legitimately be the best of the rest. I suggest taking some deep breaths.
100% co-sign. I loved Mike Hart as a player. I love having him on Michigan's staff. I'd be worried, though, about him taking on OC, let alone HC.

I mean, they did pick up an O-lineman from national semi-finalist Alabama.
Sure, it's the guy who was run out of town in under 24 hours after getting his QB killed repeatedly, but I bet Day can get that fixed!

You've already watched the Rose Bowl 10 or more times? Impressive.
Not to cast aspersions, but I'm pretty sure "Bible-thumping, moralizing hypocrite" is generally a plus in Alabama.
Do you need a hug?
Congrats on a pretty close prediction!
Sure, go ahead and bare your soul.

And Tony Petitti.
Nah, I'm good, Dick!

Seriously. How can anyone start worrying about anything that comes after Monday when Monday holds such promise? Some people just love to be miserable.
E Grieg FTW!

Entered or got entered?
I’m with you. I did not consider BPONE in that moment and felt the team had plenty left to show at that point.
This is a strangely specific analogy. I’m struggling to figure out how you arrived at it.
While you may be correct, you do seem to have a lot of faith the officials would get the call right. You did see last year’s semi-final, yes?
You think it might have been accidental?
I upvoted this but regret doing so.

PSU should have made a run at McCord - didn't they make a big deal about him being a PSU fan growing up?
Unfortunately, we're facing Milroe, not our old friend Milton. Hopefully the same sentiment applies, but it will be a greater challenge.
The frequency and speed in which Mizzou's d-line was getting to the qb was stunning to watch.
Upvoted for WLA call-back. Though I did kind of enjoy their go at it.
Gap or zone…
But first:
THANK YOU

It doesn't rankle you a bit that MSU won in 2021?
