The intent of my post is…

The intent of my post is more about the coverage.  I have no issues with what the players do, but the way the coverage glossed it over and effectively turned it into a feel good story.

That's my point.  I'm glad…

That's my point.  I'm glad the players get to grieve.  But the way this is being presented and covered is sickening.  It's not adversity, it's negligent homicide at the very least.

The pass interference calls…

The pass interference calls I've seen were actually pass interference.  You can touch someone all day.  You cannot grab, tug or yank on their jersey or any part of their body, like the shoulder.

So you think 1984 and Jasper…

Yes, I suspect that 1984 is MK, but don't really care.  He's an idiot either way.

You are actually looking for…

You are actually looking for intelligent analysis on this board?  I think that ship sailed about 3 years ago.

Actually it sounds like you…

Actually it sounds like you do.

All he said is mineral king brings nothing to the board.  I guess wouldn't expect someone who joined in the last 4 months to understand all the great things Jasper brings to the board.

I don't care.

I don't care.  Well, I care a little.  I want them highly ranked when the team beats them.

You're totally wrong.

You're totally wrong.

Well you were until you edited your post and said that posts can be edited....

I cringe at every mention of…

I cringe at every mention of his lisp.  Maybe none of you have ever experienced a loved one having a stroke.  I know he's always had a lisp of sorts, but it's clear that the stroke and age has made it much worse.  I just can't bring myself to insult a guy for the effects of age or a stroke.

It's like watching someone make fun of Lee Corso.  I just can't bring myself to get angry at the guy.

A big reason, maybe.  But,…

A big reason, maybe.  But, there are also a lot of unsuccessful people who return every punch.  Just look at Zack Smith.  To be in a position like Urban you have to also be surrounded by enablers to be able to continue to return every punch.  Zack Smith no longer is.  Urban's time will come one day, just like many other successful coaches who finally lost their enabling support.

Conversely there are a lot of honest and upstanding successful people too who don't need to surround themselves with enablers.

No... no... no...  I been…

No... no... no...  I been reading the twitters and I've learned from the responses:

"Messages are deleted after 1 year by default."

"Meyer wanted to preserve the messages to prove he didn't know."

Remember Drake and Wadsworth are the real villains here.

I'd agree with that!

I'd agree with that!

"his makes me wonder if he's…

"his makes me wonder if he's pissed at OSU"

You need to wonder that?  Did you even watch the presser?  Beyond the body language and very forced statement, watching the Gene Smith eye roll during the President's statement was priceless.

That stuff doesn't work.  I…

That stuff doesn't work.  I'd try to get your money back.

If I recall, it wasn't for a lack of offense.

This board has degenerated...

No.  He left at lunch when…

No.  He left at lunch when he saw where it was going.  I personally believe Meyer was the holdup refusing to accept responsibility or write an apology.  But, that's just me speculating.

Hmm... 3 Blues in a row…

Hmm... 3 Blues in a row posting she's crazy.... How interesting.  Oh I'm wrong... It's four.

You are wrong on so many…

You are wrong on so many counts and it's not on me to prove it.  It's on you to prove you are right.

dildos... I see what you did…

dildos... I see what you did there.

I'm in the camp that he has…

I'm in the camp that he has serious rage problems and probably abused her.  I specifically joined that camp while watching his ESPN interview.  However, your question is 100x ass backwards.  It's not what evidence do you have to prove your innocence...

Awwww.... now I'm sad.  Why…

Awwww.... now I'm sad.  Why'd you have to bring Jedd into this?

You ordered sex toys to your…

You ordered sex toys to your work place?! ;)

Bravo?

And none of that really…

And none of that really matters and is completely off the mark of my response.

"And at that point, the whole world will be confronted with the fact that a non-crime was what had become the main predicate act for this entire scandal."

Very little of anyone will lose any sleep over or "have to confront the fact" that a non-crime gave a clearly frustrated woman an opportunity to bring her grievances to light.  I don't lose any sleep because nothing bad has happened to Zach, except he lost a job that any other person would have lost a long time ago.  Basically so far, only justice has been served.

I don't lose any sleep because nothing really bad happened to Urban except what he deserved for essentially keeping someone on staff who didn't deserve it and brought him significant embarrassment for the basic reason of nepotism.

Right.  I came here to post…

Right.  I came here to post this.  Urban's official comment was he only knew Zach Smith professionally.  Right....?

You continue to prove…

You continue to prove yourself so skeptical that you are totally ignorant of what could be happening around you.

Most informants don't turn, they provide information by mistake.  For instance:

Urban Meyer:  I only knew Zach professionally.

Lynn Bruce:  The truth is Urban knew "Zach Smith since he was 2 years old. I considered his family a part of mine. We had a relationship that extended beyond the X’s & O’s. And I saw a young man with incredible talent, both on the field coaching and in recruiting, struggling."

Zach Smith is doing all his damage by accident because he acts on emotional rage and not intellect.

Edit:  Addition... "There was even Zach cryptically suggesting there was something interesting to ask Tom Herman “about the ensuing few days” after both Zach Smith and Herman visited a strip club in Miami in 2014. The two worked together then."  I might keep holding my breath as well.

Don't fear the Frost.

Don't fear the Frost.

Honestly, I don't know what…

Honestly, I don't know what rock you live under.  It no longer matters if it's a real crime or not and it really never did.  People trust what they see and they see a decent amount of evidence that Zach Smith has been physical with his ex-wife and that he even apologized for it.  People do not trust our justice system so whether or not he gets convicted is immaterial.  I'm trying to think of the last major scandal where the public cared about an actual "crime."

If Sandusky had been acquitted on some technicality, well I guess we would have had to all feel guilty for being disappointed in a major University covering up pretty obvious child abuse.

O.J. was innocent right?  Every employer or sponsor should have recognized they made a mistake in cutting ties with him and been "confronted with the fact that a non-crime" was why they cut him loose?  Come on man.

yeah... silly of a *Michigan…

yeah... silly of a *Michigan* fan to do that.

It's possible and I can't…

It's possible and I can't really tell from reading the document, but it's possible that these 2 women were part of the investigation team.  When I first read I thought it was some hookup from the agent to get his phone cleaned out, and thought woah!  But I can't believe that if that were the case a news agency wouldn't be all over that already.

I have to assume this was the investigation committee communicating through Meyer's agent.

Kind of a leap.  A police…

Kind of a leap.  A police chief or representative would answer questions about whether or not charges have been filed against a for any high profile employer.  It sounds nice though.

I'm sure that has NOTHING to…

I'm sure that has NOTHING to do with what got us in trouble.  Our feelings towards a certain school have no bearing on the performance of the coaches and administrators that sent the program into its downward spiral.  Get over yourself.

We don't live in a never ending run of Tiger Town.

My I'm too old, but why do…

Maybe I'm too old, but why do we keep lumping MSU into the main rivals bucket?  They aren't.  Beat ND, beat OSU.  The fan base will be happy.  Nobody cares about anything else.

There is a reason Michigan…

There is a reason Michigan fans like John Cooper and hate Jim Tressel.  There is a reason OSU fans don't like talking about Cooper.  It's weird right?  He was a winning football coach.  He won championships.  He won everywhere he went.  Except at the Big house.

He was rightfully fired.  It's really quite simple.

I like Harbaugh.  I really do.  However, I like winning more and, to be fair, he has more resources than any other Big Ten coach.  Do I think it's this year or he's gone, no.  But it's really close.

I don't think Harbaugh…

I don't think Harbaugh should say anything.  It's not our program.  What happened at Maryland is entirely indefensible.  And it's also possible that at Maryland Durkin and his staff went to another extreme.

It's pretty simple actually.  Michigan wasn't the first place Harbaugh worked with Durkin so if he says he was a bully, that's a bad look.  If he says he wasn't bully coach that's a bad look, because kid has already died.

Or no shoes, or no shoelaces…

Or no shoes, or untied shoelaces... worked for Barry and Denard.

I'm no doctor, but that…

I'm no doctor, but that nerve of yours might be a little too exposed.

I did however sleep at a Holiday Inn last night.

OK, when I read Herbie's…

OK, when I read Herbie's statements it was more that he was confused about the investigation itself and not that he had any concerns about Meyer, but it could have been the context of the report I read it in and not his actual words.  Glad to hear otherwise.

Interesting response.
What…

Interesting response.

What would one be if they called a Chinese man an illiterate rice farmer?

I've wanted to see that, but…

I've wanted to see that, but I'm not.  I've always had a moderate level of respect for his ability to at least represent himself as providing an honest and professional viewpoint.

Can you point me in the direction of where he's starting to recognize it?

Yeah, I feel really bad for…

Yeah, I feel really bad for anyone getting that buyout.  No wait.  I don't.

I will say this....
As much…

I will say this....

As much as I am shocked to say it, at least she had a somewhat non-homer response to the MSU scandal.  More than we've received from Herbie on OSU.

It really says something when Hill is the rational one.

Don't knock it 'till you try…

Don't knock it 'till you try it?

That was perfect!

That was perfect!

My god Jim!  It's it's not…

My god Jim!  It's it's not its.  Judas Priest it's couldn't.  Unless it's not.  Then I want to know what Judas Priest its couldn't do....

I get what you are saying,…

I get what you are saying, but I think this is a very biased opinion and what we want to hear.  "Literally anyone outside the OSU fan base" doesn't feel that way.  There are a lot of level headed sports personalities who think a suspension is stupid and, that if he didn't do something that rises to the level of a fireable offense, it would just looks like an appeasement tactic.

From my take, if it's true, I'm glad there is at least someone fighting for what they believe in.  However, I think it's naive to believe that he won't be torn apart if he's the only one fighting for it.

"(which is that he is the…

"(which is that he is the hold out) then he looks fine."

Looks fine to who?  To you and me?  Yes.  To his customers and employers, probably not.  Not talking about morality, but this does not make him look good except to most of the people that would really matter.
