IMO Michigan football usually fared better when Michigan Basketball suffered. If I had to choose I would rather Michigan Basketball suffer for eternity if it means we don't have to go through the 13 years of darkness again. Sorry to any basketball fans out there.
Honestly it's criminal that routine preventative tests aren't free, or at the very least billed at non marked up cost even if you don't have insurance without having to jump through a number of hoops that are designed to discourage people from getting them by bean counters that just want to keep hospital revenues up.
Yesterday I was just re-watching the bussin with the boys preseason interview from 2022 i think with Denard and Chris Bryant where Taylor was telling the story about how when Craig was roomed with him that Craig would pray for Taylor's salvation. I think I'm cursed. Every time I remember someone they end up dying not long after.

Much like everything else from Elon.. He took a technology that has been around for a while but was under utilized and pointed a money cannon at it.
Like why would you expect the school to do your Name/Image/Likeness deals for you? The whole point was for student athletes to make money off of their own name and likeness. Not for the school to pay you for it.
I usually don't buy championship shirts or hats because I either want to wear them all of the time, and they don't last. Or they are cheaply made, and they don't last. I feel better knowing that those shirts will end up clothing kids in a refugee camp somewhere.

You should start another post and state that the post is not meant to be political, and then follow with asking "who's better at politics Democrats or Republicans?"
You would think with the tax revenue that California brings in they would use some of that to make sure their roads are in tip top shape for when you need to evacuate due to annual cataclysmic wildfires.
Or perhaps.. just perhaps Herbert was asking for more than the university was comfortable giving him. Rubber stamping contracts with blank checks does not make someone competent.

If a player just wants to be given money instead of earning it from his or her own hard work then they should go to Ole Miss instead. They likely wouldn't fit in on the team, and would have to transfer out after their first year anyways.

A lot of the top players in Michigan's 2023 team had NIL deals. Half of the starters were wearing more Ice than my jewelry addicted grandmother. I don't get where you guy's are coming with this idea that Michigan needs to up it's NIL game.
Anything defending Warde is an unpopular opinion these days. But here I go. It's wise for the program to handle NIL with as many layers of gloves as possible. It's still very much the wild west, and the program doesn't need any more of the NCAA's eyes looking at it. That said the idea of Michigan promising players X amount of money from ready made NIL deals is repulsive to me. I have no problem with athletes making money off their own NIL deals, but the the university itself should not be involved unless an athlete made an NIL deal that reflects poorly on the team, and the university or was actually illegal.
Showing up with some money? Herbert is already the highest paid team SC coach in football period. If Herbert were to leave it's not because he's underpaid for his position.
Maybe they can just mouth the words in front of a camera without actually saying it.. Or you can just take a nap or something, and come back in a week when they can officially say it.
