Been thinking a lot about the best landing spot for JJ. A spot like the Rams seems ideal; he can sit behind an established starter for a year or two and then take the reins with an offensive-minded head coach. Think the Dolphins are similar if they decide to move on from Tua after next year (which I think they should).
Denver is an interesting prospect. He would be a step above The Corpse of Russ and Sean Payton knows a thing or two about a thing or two. I also like a lot of their weapons on offense.
Expecting JJ to walk in and immediately be the savior of a franchise seems lofty, and the Raiders have a lot of unknowns on the coaching staff.
Agree with most that everyone has said. Magical, but some odd crowd control issues - especially the shuttles out.
One thing that struck me as a little odd was the difference in attire between fanbases. The Alabama uniform seems like the same striped polo or quarter-zip. Was not expecting a more country club aesthetic from Bama.
There's a lot more to Los Angeles than Hollywood and, honestly, most of us locals avoid that part of town at all costs. It's for tourists and (unfortunately) a large homeless population.

Honestly, the whole thing is a bummer. I obviously really disagree with Herbstreit here but all in all he seems like a decent guy. The amount of shit he gets from crazy fans has clearly gotten to him. He probably doesn’t deserve the kind of harassment he (and most other national media members) gets but the solution here is to just log off.
I agree with Alex’s explanations, especially the breakdown of each individual bowl under Harbaugh. At a closer look it’s hard to say there’s anything systemically flawed in how the current regime approaches the post season.
After stepping on a rake last year and running into a buzzsaw the year before, I have a really REALLY hard time believing the team won’t be locked in. You have to think re-examining TCU prep was a major area of self-scouting this past off-season. In some ways, drawing the boogie man Bama could be a blessing of extra motivation.
I’m cautiously optimistic (a little more so than going into the Ohio State game) and will be there in Pasadena. It’s my first Michigan bowl game so who knows, maybe I’ll help break the ‘curse’.
I’ve resigned myself to believing JJ will be gone next year and I’ll be happy for him whatever he decides. Seattle seems like an ideal destination for him, though we all know he’s the kind of player that could certainly rise through the rankings after the interview and workout process.

We've seen this offense look really good, and a few games it's looked disjointed. Hope they'll tweak the coaching duties to let Moore make more in-game adjustments on offense and hopefully get into a rhythm. It's possible they'll look like they did today again next week... but I doubt it.

Interesting because its neither the "talking up someone who the teem NEEDS to step up" nor the "coach lighting a fire under the veterans" (Will Johnson brought them up unprompted).
I know we have good reason to be skeptical of freshman receivers around here but...could be legit? If one of those guys has even a modest break out, would be very exciting.
This hurts. Loved his presence, he and Dickerson complimented each other so well. “Art of pitching”, “yellow hammer”, “buggy-whip”, “nice area” and “the Big Man Miguel Cabrera” were classic lines, though my favorite Price-ism was “There IS crying in baseball, there’s just no pity.”
Not to disagree with your overall point (I’m in the industry myself and you are correct) but Mission Impossible pulled in a $239 Million opening week worldwide.
Easy to root against the Astros (especially with a particular notable fan sitting behind home plate last night) but I could force myself to be happy for Dusty finally winning the big one. And I still love Justin so much that I’d be happy for him to win one without any asterisks.

I normally like these guys enough but it's kinda frustrating for them to be so down on Michigan's offense for totally vague abstract reasons like "I didn't like what I saw out of McCarthy at Iowa" or "Ronnie Bell hasn't shown up as much as I thought", especially when their own model projects Michigan covering and the game hitting the over. Like, if you're going to be "the nerds" what are you doing flying against all of the data just to say it'll be a 14-17 Big Ten Sludgefest because...reasons?
