Michigan engineer with 9 years at GM and I'm taking the VSP... lots of mixed feelings, but the package is more than fair and I've already got another job offer which makes it easier.

There is a lot of fair criticism of the GM SLT, and they should never be trusted because everything they say is basically the opposite of the truth, but the reason people like working at GM is not leadership, its because 90% of the people you work with are solid and its a very comfortable environment.

I didn't like the way they handled the Work Appropriately vs RTO and the recent (definitely not) layoffs, but its part of working for a large corporation, and things could have been much worse.

Exactly... I rarely visit this board and almost never bother to log in/post because some people just insist on taking the fun out of everything. I feel bad for those people, but I also wish they had a therapist or something other than this board.

I keep a scrub brush (this one: https://goo.gl/images/sWWt1f ) in my dishwasher silverware tray for cleaning nasty pots and pans, and keep a clean one in the sink for normal cleaning.

This way the brush with the real grimy shit gets deep cleaned regularly (so I can always scrape the hard stuff from the pans) - but doesn't contaminate the stuff I hand wash.
