I know you're joking, but thought worth saying as they'll start number 1 and they absolutely will be number 1 if they go undefeated until the game except for maybe one scenario: we go undefeated. Given our monstrosity of a schedule, if we roll undefeated into Thanksgiving (doubtful), we would be absolutely deserving of the #1.

No. I can’t remember the timeline exactly, but it was closed soon after I became of drinking age. Charley’s and Scorekeepers were the usual haunts. Dollar pitcher and soco limes S’keepers on Thursdays. 100% avoided Friday classes.

Highly recommend Minnesota. Not so much Minneapolis proper. Choose a suburb. Minneapolis and St. Paul are improving, but they are not yet what they were pre-Covid. Plus, the school systems are all much better in the suburbs (some are outstanding and almost all are top notch). Housing can get to over a million if you are hell bent on top notch areas and new builds, but I’ll say there are tons of options in the 600-900k range in great areas.
I thought the “schools that don’t cooperate do better” thing was kind of put to bed as bogus fan fiction. Most schools really do cooperate. Read the Tennessee punishment and it’s clear that it’s a pretty sever punishment and they also are noted for cooperating. Yet many say they didn’t really get punished and that’s because they didn’t cooperate.
Love the book. The 1994 is tolerable if you go into it knowing it was a made for tv series, at least in my opinion. Have you read the Dark Tower series? Highly recommend.
