It's a part of a culture that the kids are a part of... if that makes sense. Where a lot of them come from getting your license suspended is no big deal and even normal so it continues.
Post Down-Vote Edit:
And I feel I can say that because I'm from the culture that a lot of these kids are from. I can't speak to why those in other cultures drive on suspended license but as for young black athletes it is just a part of the culture to "ride dirty" not considered a big deal. You feel the police are after you for DWB either way.
I made this thread earlier but my choice of words to describe the situation was I guess not approved of thus stripping me of all mgopoints... (Insert Dick Vitale ARE YOU SERIOUS?!) I guess I should have said "Shafted" or "Hosed" instead of what I wrote down...
On topic though... This is a really bad deal for both teams since they essentially broke no written rules.
It is especially bad for the Redskins who were counting on Free Agency to re-build. (Not with old guys this time.) They may not have made the RGIII deal if they knew this was coming down the pike, although some sources say they knew per WJFK in DC.
Yea... I'm a little bit surprised by the reaction here... moving up to 2 to select RGIII has pretty much been the Redskins top scenario since the BCS. But then again I probably listen to way more DC sports talk than most.
I am shocked by the # of Roll Damn Tide type responses "typical Snyder" and whatnot. Going after young talent to rebuild around is basically the antithesis of signing aging neon deion and bruce smith.
Also the kid might be Akili Smith but he's far from Ryan Leaf. Anyone who's heard even one interview knows his character is outstanding.
Pretty much a lot of wrong wrong wrong here.
As a lifelong redskins fan... laugh it up. I'm happy about the deal and most in Washington were hoping this happened. We haven't had a franchise QB since Sonny or Slingin Sammy Baugh. I'm looking forward to RGIII giving a speech just like Peyton just did in 2027. Then maybe the Lions can sign him.
Sorry but if a woman jumps in a fight and tries to strike me, she will be struck. Not justifying what the players did in this case at all. But if you swing like a man you will be swung on like a man.
It's a dumb rule. Players should be allowed to act in the interest of their team during the recruiting process. The kids get to hang out with them on visits so why are tweets out of bounds?
FWIW Long hair don't care has been a saying in the community for a long time which is where Wayne and others got it from
Also that Urban Dictionary entry is wrong... long hair don't care refers to the person WITH the hair, and their lack of inhibition or regard. Lil Wayne is on record as liking women with long hair.
It should have been Beilein, but I won't pull a sparty and give their board sugar tear bulletin board material. Clearly the wrong call however, I am happy for Trey.
That's definitely an issue... I was a boxer so I was calling BS but once you find out these guys are NCAA wrestling champs or black belts in martial arts a lot of doubting goes out the window.
Why are the posts about the sport/event being moderated down... if you don't like the sport don't click.... I don't downvote sports I'm not interested in...

Exactly this. Pains me to see a DC kid make such an awful choice.

What about online dynasties simply failling to advance. That was a major problem. Made the mode unplayable really
And when the hell will we get an NCAA basketball game again? I'm still stuck on NCAA 10.
It looks like an apartment complex
agreed.
I lost all of my points for using the word "raped." That speaks for itself...
Don't make me dislike our softball team...

That's crazy
Hope things work out for the best for him.
A very "little brother" move
Underrated IMHO... We do have to get tougher in the paint and should with the upcoming classes.
Let's go MF Blue!!

Yikes... an ugly event for sure. I hope this doesn't slow Rich Rod down in his efforts. I don't know the caliber of the players involved.
LMAO! Very observant that's hilarious
It's his brother. Pretty understandable imho.

The celebrity basketball game took the cake! He was really trying to strap up! lmao

YES! Well done. Well done.
DC media says we will trade 1, 2, 3 this year plus 1 next year for RGIII.
I'm hoping we do.
They always had green incorporated as a third color but it seems once SEA left they've felt they have cart blanche on the green and gold
THANKS FELLAS!!
I got faith that the fellas will turn it around

Very artificial how they brought Diddy out though lol... But it was a great dunk!
I can't help it I was raised on the classic slam dunk contests... Spud Webb! But I'm checking in on the prelims during the NBA commercial breaks
Either it's easier to hate...
Or he's liquored up and will apologize tomorrow
firstrowsports.eu and then go to boxing/wwe/ufc
The way these guys hate MMA they must have got their ass kicked 1 too many times or something maybe their girl went home with a guy in a tap out shirt
