Dug is nasty. Olivier is a thiccccccc boy. Everyone hustles. Cheddar is 100% on the season. The defense is a swath of long arms. This team could be elite with Llewellyn back. Excited to see the season unfold
I have been telling my friends next year is the season I’m expecting things to take off, so I’m resigning myself to low expectations this year and just improvement over last year. I think next season is a year we can expect to see some magic, based on the trajectory of the rebuild and my belief that Steve can only do right
Interesting that they repaired his Aortic Valve. Typically when we do an aortic valve on a patient we opt to replace it almost always. I’ve known some guys who repair them and have seen them do good repairs, but it’s not a common thing. Hoping he has a smooth recovery!
You know as well as most you should be checking out the people that lodge the balls. Loy crystal ball of confidence less than 8 just means “kid visited and has offer”, similarly Thind at MSU and one or two of his colleagues will put in a ball for all the MSU prospects that visit and then have an offer and say good things. None of these recruitments are over, the Fong ball for Carr is pulse, it will change a few times before the end of the cycle. Carr is waiting on Dante’s decision (August) and ND coaching staff will not take a 24 commit at QB before a 23 commit, per sources on their sites
I get the sentiment tho. Crystal balls don’t go in for a kid who leaves talking shit about the program. We just need to remain in the races for these and use up our OVs.
Also, I think someone mentioned Oden as a legacy recruit? Hard to imagine a talented kid like that is legacy and doesn’t at least give us another shot. Regardless, we will get our men and we will coach them up and develop them
My understanding was the staff wanted him back but he’s married (engaged?) with a child and another on the way (I believe). The big hang up was going to be getting him NIL that helps him care for his family, but also, being a student athlete for another year is a lot of responsibility. I started grad school when my youngest was 4 months old and I still feel like it had a negative impact on our relationship, her being with mom all the time for 2 years or so
how is this possible? Memphis is the best team in the country. They have Money, Penny, Duren, Emoni (had??) all the ingredients to make a winning pie. Everyone in America is stunned and confused
Agree on Rolder. Very very good linebacker, but I don't think he is quite athletic enough. Not quite Devon Bush, but who knows what the upgrade in coaching and SnC can do. He does look pretty filled out, but maybe some refocusing of his diet and stuff can help him shave a little time and be faster sideline to sideline. I like him as a prospect and hope he is better than I anticipate.
Not sure the plan for Moore, I know he's a freak, but he looks like a monster 3T to me. Either way, happy to have him in the mix
On3 working hard to get their recruiting database together, its still a ways out from where they want it. Once it is fully up and running, will be a very nice place to find information, and lots of it
Didn't know XM was back! Daughter (4) came down with Covid thanks to a teacher at school. Wife just tested positive this morning. Long holiday season ahead! Hope the best for all!
Asked for a CFP championship and was told I would shoot my eye out, then he kicked me down the slide. Sounds to me like we end up with one in the end
Do not care about this kid and his recruitment anymore. This season's team has only shown us how much more important it is to have young men who want to be here and who buy in. Hope he enjoys Kentucky
Thank you for this. These are amazing. Everything about the weather and atmosphere on Saturday transported me back to when I was younger and watching Big Ten football on cold Saturday afternoons. I haven't had this feeling in years.
I see your point and get the logistics. One thing I find comical, at least as a M fan, is the thought of what this and the entire perception of Mel Tucker would have been had the strip sack TD right before half time not been miraculously over-turned based on the video evidence. That play stands, we win (obviously not a given, but also, a given), Mel Tucker looks more like an average-to-good coach this year, he may or may not get a ridiculous extension, Aidan Hutchinson can add more stats to his ridiculous resume, and that fumble recovery probably lands him on the Bednarik watch list, since clearly a fumble recovery TD was the only thing he was needing to be included, Jim Harbaugh wins Big Ten COTY, we are arguing with people about whether its us or UGA that should be #1...obviously taking some liberties here, but the idea/thought is still there.
Is Campbell still a big name in coaching circles? I realize that the flame doesn’t necessarily die down over a year, and if he is skilled at coaching and last year showed that and he’s simply held back by ISU then he’s totally a great choice for some programs. I feel like he’s not on the radar for ND tho. Seems like that would be a risky hire for a program like ND. I also don’t know shit and think Campbell is just ok/good
Good list. Next years offense is going to be loaded for sure, and Corum and Edwards will be running behind more BEEF again next year. WR are a year deeper and smarter, Cade and JJ. Offense will be polished. Defense is replacing some guys, but at the beginning of this season we had much different expectations for the product we would see on the field, and, aside from Hutch (and maybe Dax and Ross), practically everyone else on the D made their name this season. Hutch and Ojabo are filthy, no denying it. But our defense continued to change shapes and players and continued to improve, regardless of who the next man up was.
Honestly, Mike McDonald is the coordinator of the year IMO. We may not have had the most amazing stat lines defensively, but he came in and turned the entire defense around, in his first year in college AND as a coordinator.

I was going to suggest Anderson as well. Very solid pro career, completely uninformed in his college career, however
No dragging, this came to mind for me as well. Very automatic
lmao im fkin dead after this one

Yeah not entirely sure what that’s about, but I was under the impression that he’s leaning very heavily toward not returning

Man if Petit-Frere’s entire NFL career is just Aiden ruining him repeatedly over the course of their careers until one quits, I will die so happy

Not deserving of Bednarik.
Bring on the disrespect and the doubters. Been working for us all year
Someone cutting some onions in here
This is up there with Brandon Graham PSU in paint
Or shoot it
Those who come have a chance to be those who stay
Would get destroyed, Juwan's rubber guard is legendary
Holy fuck, who did he touch?
Too bad for them Linderbaum can't play all 5 spots on the OL

I'm with it, much deserved. Hope Johns can find himself coming off the bench
CFB is like Basketball Wives of LA or whatever the fuck those shows are; football is barely even part of it now

So hire an agent and lawyer to help you sign contracts so they say what you want them to? ? interesting
If you stay at ND forever you get to pick your entire schedule. How do you leave that to be forced into playing in a conference?
They CANT? Or they shouldn’t?
