NEW offensive philosophy to cater to a NEW starter with a NEW LT, sounds a lot like some of the issues PSU encountered in the season.

Regardless if you agree with the PSU or not, we lost at ND by 7 points on opening NIGHT with a lot of new pieces trying to come together. Should we have won? yes. But we lacked contain, never wanted to play zone on 3rd and longs to help that, and we couldn't get Shea upright.

Everyone just relax.

while I agree with you that it won't actually happen, the tickets out there aren't legit yet. The tickets don't go on sale until July. The people who have them on stubhub have season tickets and post their tickets early before any other tickets are on the market hoping someone buys them WAY in advance for a much higher profit margin.

He's the shortest outside receiver we have... he's 4th, at best, on the depth chart when it comes to the outside. sloppy route runner and takes a while to get up to speed.

This is a Michigan message board, not OSU.

1. Sean Mckeon had the lowest

1. Sean Mckeon had the lowest YPC average out of top 8 receivers, and he's running the route he supposed to run. it's not like he was saying I'm not running 15 yards down field, I'm only going to run 5 because I want to.

2. He led the team in receptions and also drops.

3. He had 31 rec and 301 yards, Gentry had 17 for 303.

4. McKeon cannot catch in traffic, see drops against Wisky and MSU that were key.

5. Gentry is the guy who comes up clutch in these situations. See back shoulder seem route against Purdue when we needed a play. That was a much more diffcult catch than anything McKeon did all year.

6. Go to twitter and type in "McKeon drop" and let me know what you find.

McKeon is still a good player, but he has BAD drops, in what always felt like key moments.

McKeon has two bricks for

McKeon has two bricks for hands.

BJ was the first to break

BJ was the first to break Shea and McElwain. just stop. if youdon't like the guy it's fine, but he's been dropping info first on some of the top shelf info.

He was also the first to say Drevno would be stripped of play calling duties in the same article with McElwain.

MSU in the Yahoo report and

MSU in the Yahoo report and Drevno "resigning" in the same day............. Christmas in February bitches.

I'm not disagreeing with your

I'm not disagreeing with your overall point, but you can't just start spewing false information and not expect someone to correct, especially something as blasphemous as "wasn't even close to sniffing the CFP" when he went 12-1 and lost on the road to a team that was in the BCS title game. That's a ridiculous statement.

But the stanford narrative is getting old, and we need to win and beat OSU it's as simple as that. I'm not worried about MSU. The bobbled punt I'll never blame harbaugh, that was a W in my head. Then we beat them @ MSU. This year with JOK in a moonsoon, it just wasn't going to happen, and it still almost did lol.

To your point, Stanford (with

To your point, Stanford (with Harbaugh) was never close to sniffing the CFP because it didn't exist. So great work. In fact, such great work that you forgot he went 12-1 in 2010 with his only loss @ Oregon who went on to play in the BCS title game. They finished the year ranked 4th, which by my caluclations would have made a CFP if it wasn't a 2 team BCS format.

So technically he was close to sniffing the "CFP"

GREG ROMAN. GREG ROMAN. GREG

GREG ROMAN. GREG ROMAN. GREG ROMAN.

His only year not with Greg you saw him have the 68th rush offense and give up 2 less sacks than the year before, WHOA.

And now you have seen what he has done here. He's a capable position coach at best, and anyone trying to spin the numbers, I just can't help you.

Another man's job? he's a

Another man's job? he's a student at OSU who works FOR BARSTOOL. he runs their osu twitter account. it's not like he quit an actual job. RELAX. Now he's getting an interview for an actual job at HQ Barstool.

1. This guy works part time

1. This guy works part time for Barstool. He creates content for the OSU barstool twitter account, so he clearly loves the company.

2. He is originally from NY, about an hour out, going to OSU in Columbus. I'm assuming his family is doing all right.

3. He now has gotten real job offer from Barstool HQ, he's all right. Relax.

He himself thought the prank was phenomenal, and tipped his cap.

Not saying what the prankster did was ok, but I would say it's nothing for people on this board to be up in arms with.

not conjecture.
1. He is far

not conjecture.

1. He is far more athletic. This is a fact.

2. His arm strength is superiorly better. ask any draft analysts

3. He is more accurate, career completion % 60.7 Shea, 58.8% for Speight.

4. He said he gets through his progressions quick, which he does. He never said it was better than Speight.

5. This is also a given.

This is a hot take for

This is a hot take for multiple reasons.

1. They are playing in vastly different offenses. Speight's in a strictly game manager role. he's playing do not make a mistake football. Shea is playing in a spread and has to be the guy taking over a game. in Shea's 10 games as you pointed out he averages 39.2 attempts per game. Speight averaged 20... he's going to throw picks when that's the offense you're running.

2. It's clear Speight's game is lacking in a multitude of areas. His inability to hit the deep ball (see wisky game where he missed a wide open Darboh 5 times), his accuracy issues, his happy feet in the pocket in 2017 due to previous injury, zero mobility. What he does well is dissect a play and make the right checks, though he can't hit the receivers to execute. When you watch Shea's game he can do all these things that Speight stuggled with. Deep ball accuracy, short game accuracy, he's mobile and he's just a playmaker in general.

3. I love when people bring up the "well he played great against inferior teams," you know who didn't?... 2017 Wilton Speight. Even then Wilton Speight had 4 games in which he threw for multiple TDs in 2016, those teams included Hawai'i, UCF, Illinois, and Maryland. So this narrative against Shea is tired. He didn't play well twice in 2017 against LSU and Bama who have FAR superior talent to Ole Miss. So does Auburn and he threw 346 and 2 TDs and no picks.

If you HONESTLY would take Speight in 2016 or 2017 over Shea Patterson, you need help or need the latest version of Football for Dummies.

It's 8am in Sydney so he probably woke up to the Friday CBs to OSU and Reese CB to UGA.

Also hasn't had his Midol yet.

I appreciate your attempt,

I appreciate your attempt, but this will direct me to Google, in which is searches it and then... it says January 2018.

No DATE is provided via a Google search, Twitter or anything else.

Friday, sure.

But Ricky

Friday, sure.

But Ricky Sandige to SC is a national title contender (before we lost to them so that has no factor.)

And Mizzou is a national title contender?

Just trying to understand your logic. We lose kids to schools that are not title contenders all the time.

Remember when...

Remember when the insiders were "confident" we would land 2/3 of our DT targets.

Whelp.

Bye Friday. Bye Sandidge. Bye M Thompson (even though we stopped recruiting for whatever reason).

There is no excuses for this. OSU's plan C and clearly our Plan A for 2 years, still lose out.

I see UMBIG11

I see UMBIG11 say "nm" all the time. Could someone fill me in on what this means?

LOL

LOL

others were comparing the

others were comparing the two, you chimed in with calm down on the hype. We aren't "hyping" Shea, we were simply stating the comparison is dumb and Shea is far superior than him.

take a breath.

you would take a 3-star, #32 ranked QB freshman at houston who torched nobodies over the consensus #1 QB. gotcha.

take a breath. Let's do this year shall we.

QB A: 5 games started, 887 yards (177 YPG), 2 TDs, 6 Ints, 85 rating.

QB B: 7 games started, 2259 yards (322 YPG), 17 TDs, 9 ints, rating 144.

I'm taking QB B.

and you really want to go there with who he played in those 3 games as a frosh??? JOK's frosh schedule was against Southern (whoever that is), Temple, Rice, Texas-San Antonio, Memphis, BYU, Rutgers, South Florida, Central Florida, Louisville, Cincinnati, SMU, and Vandy.

We aren't on here saying he's freaking Tim Tebow and going to win the Heisman. What we are arguing is the comparison to JOK, in which you made a pompus comment on a direct argument for the comparison.

what is funny is you literally just said you would take JOK over Shea, which is the most comical thing I've read on this blog. he was on pace for 30 tds at ole miss this season and probably would have thrown for more considering the back end of their schedule was far easier.

any comparisons to JOK

any comparisons to JOK, are just so far off base it's incredible. JOK started 5 games and threw 2 TDs and 6 ints for an average of 177 YPG and a average QB rating of 85.

In the 7 games Shea started which included starts against bama, auburn (in which he threw for over 400 yards) and LSU, he threw for 17 TDs and 9 ints for an average of 322 YPG and a average QB rating of 144.

But yeah they are the same.

and I can't wait to hear the argument of "well shea put up numbers against inferior talent."

you know who didn't do that??? JOHN O'MF-KORN. he fumbled twice and threw a pick against RUTGERS.... RUTGERS...

so please stop with the comparisons between these two, you're embarressing yourself.

Shea's first start... at ND

Shea's first start... at ND for a night game. talk about an opportunity to make a statement

if he wants to sit out that's totally fine, what I find weird is he committed to playing in the senior bowl?

currently refreshing twitter

currently refreshing twitter and victors club... WHERE IS THIS!!!

finally

what have I missed.

yes to shea.

that is all.

what would you like...

what would you like them to do? not take the talent and keep it at 20-24 for those classes? Hoke's inability to hold on to recruits the previous two classes and harbaugh having no time in the other class caused this. It will even out, but at the time you have to stockpile.

I agree

I agree, but against osu... imagine when he's lined up with Dobbins. I'm not going to be able to sleep because of it.

I think...

I think we all agree that mccray should have a teal border

Rusty Mansell

it was Rusty, so it was probably good information. I think the "rumors" of Peters transferring were never from legit sources like Lorenz or Webb.

Rusty also said on there they will most likely block transfers to any SEC and Miami. His parents are also HIGHLY against any school NOT running a pro-style. That leaves... Michigan and USC?

NO.

If you think D Smith was the best RB we've had since Hart, God have mercy on your soul. Smith wasn't the best back on our roster last year... Compared to the other RBs on the depth chart he lacked speed, agility, vision, and acceleration. Hell, I think Higdon runs with more power than Smith did just based on his deciveness and ability to put his head down and hit the hole. The only thing that De'veon did better is pass blocking. So to say he was our best RB since Mike Hart, when he wasn't even the first or second best RB on our roster LAST YEAR, about made me fall over in my chair.
