Hoping ND wins something like 42-3, only for them to lose several times during the rest of their schedule, thereby denying both teams excellent seasons.
This would be fine, if they had also changed the rules to make it an automatic offensive foul every time the player with the ball lowers his shoulder, pushes off with his forearm, or elbows the defender to create space for a shot. As it stands now, defenses don't have a prayer.
I'm okay with this. While he's an excellent 3 point shooter, he offered little else. I think it's much more important to get Kobe back, and hopefully Dickinson as well.
I have 9 of 16 Sweet Sixteen teams, but still have all 4 of my Final Four teams left. I picked UConn over Alabama in the championship game, with Houston and Tennessee as the other two teams in the Final Four. Feeling pretty good about it, given all of the chaos so far.
Looking for good minutes from the second unit. We're going to need them to play well in this final stretch of the season if we're going to make a run at a NCAA tourney bid.
I am watching and enjoying both series, but I I find myself enjoying HOTD a bit more. The political maneuverings are captivating and I really find the Princess Rhaenyra character fascinating. As for Rings of Power, it feels like it's still in the setup stage. Other than Galadriel, we haven't spent a lot of time on any of the other characters (which I admit is quite a balancing act). I'm definitely curious to see where it goes, but for now I'm a bit less invested in it than HOTD. I am however, optimistic that both will eventually end up being top notch.
Purdue seems like an easy bet to be better than 7.5 wins. They avoid Michigan, Ohio St., And MSU in crossover games and play a weak non-conference schedule. They have a great offense, if their defense is respectable at all I can see them winning 10 or 11 games.
I'd rather play without being able to go no trump.
I also prefer bid euchre, or "Pepper" to traditional euchre as well. It adds even more skill level to the game, and you can play with up to 7 players, so it can accommodate various group sizes. as well.
Very good point. Gattis has a history of this, and it worked very well for Alabama last year.
I also worry about Milton getting lost in the shuffle, but if his passing accuracy struggles from high school haven't improved enough, then it's hard to justify anything but garbage time at this point.
It's just nice to actually have a "overabundance of talent" problem at QB for a change after what the team suffered through in 2017.
My take on it is that there is too much talent between them to not get McCaffery in there some. In theory it could give defenses fits trying to game plan for both.
I think it needs to remain an open competition in which the best player in fall camp wins the job. Patterson should not have been promised anything. I think McCaffery has more upside, but the question is can he play at a level consistently superior to Shea when the season starts.
It's nice to be a projected 1 seed, but I tend not to pay too much to any singular projection. I prefer the Bracket Matrix, which compiles all the projections into one site - where Michigan is a 1 seed there as well. http://bracketmatrix.com/
I just hope Harbaugh allows for a real QB competition and is honest with himself about who really wins it. I think it's a real possibility that McCaffrey is the more talented and dynamic QB.
Actually, get rid of divisions within conferences, drop conference title games and use the title game week to expand the playoffs to 8 teams. All 5 conference winners ( first tiebreaker is head to head winner, if no head to head game occurred, playoff committee chooses the team with the best resume). Best Group of 5 team also gets in (determined by playoff committee), and then 2 at large teams are chosen as well. Quarterfinal games would be home games for the top 4 seeds before moving onto the neutral sites in the semifinals and finals.
In no particular order, I'd like to see them take a RB, DL, and OL in the first 3 rounds. I'd be fine with Guice at pick 20, but I do feel that this is a particularly deep RB class, so I wouldn't mind if they wait until the 2nd or 3rd for an RB and target someone like Ronald Jones, Rashad Penny, Sony Michel, Nick Chubb, or Kalen Ballage.
Next season: Win the BIG East, Win the BIG outright, or playoff appearance.
Anything short of that, he unfortunately needs to go. He's not being paid to blow games against teams like South Carolina or to go 1-5 against OSU and MSU.
Wow, so sorry for your loss. I can't even imagine what you and your wife are going through right now. Take your time for your family and grieve however you see fit. Hopefully someday when the world seems brighter you'll feel like coming back.
Harbaugh is a good coach, but he has his flaws. He's arrogant to a fault, stubbornly insisting on doing things his way, even when the evidence on the field suggests otherwise. The halftime adjustments agains MSU and PSU were abyssmal. Also, where are slant routes and other quick routes? All the passing routes seem to take forever to develop, and the OL isn't capable of blocking well enough for that kind of passing game at this point.
Another thing that bothers me, is with all of the athletes and quickness this team has on offense, the insistence on running a pro style doesn't end up using these advantages much. Insert a bit of spread in there. Did you see how dynamic PSU's offense was? That's what we're capable of if we diversify.
I think at the end of the year, Drevno and Hamilton are going to have to go away for this team to build on the potential we have.
We should be preparing for next year at this point and that means playing Peters. We're likely to get blown out by Ohio St. and Wisconsin regardless of who is behind center, and O'Korn is gone after the season anyway. I can't imagine Peters being any worse that O'Korn if his talent actually measures up to his recruiting profile. Let the kid start the rest of the season so that he actually does have some experience heading into next year.
What would be more interesting would be to find out the destination of his plane tickets since he's flying to either Alabama or Michigan immediately after the All-American Bowl, per 247.

Only team I have left is UConn, but I did pick them to win it all, so hoping I can at least get that right!

Pretty sure his 40 time deserved 4.45 fakes instead of 4.5!

I'd like to see Juwan Howard get a shot at a head coaching job. Detroit would be a great place to get it started.
