it was a win/win really. I…

it was a win/win really. I am shocked we ended up with him, but also really pleased.

that setup by larkin was unreal.

there was no "official"…

there was no "official" reason given. "personal reasons" was given because the reliable sources I have on this particular topic all point to his dad was the one to suspend him after he tested positive at home over christmas break (i assume dad caught wind and had him tested privately), the university wanted him to play because he hadn't failed a sanctioned test for them/ncaa, but his dad said no. even made him pay for his own trip to watch them in the rose bowl.

good for his dad for trying to teach him a lesson on accountability, while also trying to keep him out of potential trouble that would impact his future. had to have been a difficult decision on what to do with it.

apparently, he didnt learn that lesson, as he was booted from the NFL for testing positive.

I think they should at…

I think they should at minimum reach out to Daniel Stern of the Ravens. he is the swiss army knife on the staff as a Quality Control guy. I dont know how affordable he is, but he knows the system inside and out and is an incredible scout/analyst.

10-2 is a playoff team

10-2 is a playoff team

There are plenty of thrift…

There are plenty of thrift and consignment stores in the ann arbor area. I got a number of name brand jeans, new with tags ($150+) for under $15 at stores like Platos.

Hail!

Hail!

Dang. PA only has Philly and…

Dang. PA only has Philly and Pittsburgh.

Nothing around Harrisburg/Hershey area.

Bang me!

Bang me!

Also, because it became on…

Also, because it became on-campus initiated by the coaches, does it become countable hours for player compliance?

How will that work with the 4hrs/day and 20/hr per week limit?

I was at the Washington…

I was at the Washington night game a couple years back and then the following week I got tickets to the Penn State/Auburn white out. While Penn State was a little bit louder, (not much) the Michigan atmosphere was better, and a lot less repetitive.

The in-game atmosphere at Beaver feels like a soundboard with 4 different songs/clips that they play on a loop all game long at every break in play. It gets old fast. At Michigan games, there is some of that but it's much better coordinated with what is actually happening in the flow of the game.

I've been to 3 whiteouts and 3 Michigan night games and Michigan has done a good job of closing the gap in crowd noise, and is arguably the top atmosphere in the big ten.

This account mixes sports…

This account mixes sports and politics. Do not trust.

I don't necessarily believe…

I don't necessarily believe the Indiana and purdue games were for us exclusively.

As has been uncovered as common practice during this investigation, teams swap signs. I think having other teams signs is leverage for the ones you actually want.

IE: hey rutgers, I'll give you indiana and purdue (2 teams you can actually beat) for penn state.

No way he suspends on Friday…

No way he suspends on Friday of a game week, after the team has left town. Even the most biased talking heads would not be okay with that.

And I don't think the rest of the conference head coaches(outside of franklin) would be okay with it either. That is a bad precedent to set.

Here for the bang

Here for the bang

Did they do Kirby Smarts…

Makes sense. They hate Jim.

I still have only seen a…

I still have only seen a couple still photos and that one play on the sideline. And in that play and the still photo of him pumping his fist it clearly looks like this guy has sideburns and hair down the back of his head, which Stalions does not have.  I'd like to see a picture from the side or the back to see that.

Either way, I think that implicates CMU more than Michigan if it is him.

Oh, thats a good start.

Oh, thats a good start.

I started with some Iron Fish Maple Syrup Barrel Bourbon Whiskey (Thompsonville, MI)

Or voted to change the rules…

Or voted to change the rules for OSU during covid year.

I am confused at the visible…

I am confused at the visible sideburns and hairline down the back of his head. Connor Stalions doesn't have hair on his head.

Wasn't this the same bylaw…

Wasn't this the same bylaw they were planning on modifying to nothing in 2021?

Was this guy buying tickets…

Was this guy buying tickets from the school box office? I don't know how else they would be able to track it back to him if he was buying them off stubhub.

To Schianos credit, he knows…

To Schianos credit, he knows that Wimsatt is a bad QB so they don't even really attempt to pass.

I usually follow Diamond…

I usually follow Diamond Jimmy Gambone and his locks. He has been taking Vegas to the cleaners this season.

My initial thoughts were…

My initial thoughts were dudek and/or gattis. He fell hard after his Michigan stint. I'm sure he is still bitter.

For context: the hit described above, ruled no targeting after review.

I mean, we did have Rex…

I mean, we did have Rex Grossman: Superbowl starting QB.

He must have heard that…

He must have heard that Prime was coaching Buffalo and wanted on the night game hype.

Aren't they playing 1-6…

Aren't they playing 1-6 UMass in week 7 leading up to OSU?

Yikes.

I cannot confirm it is Dylan…

I cannot confirm it is Dylan or not, but to add context, his dad got let go by Northern Colorado back in December of 22 so he is not coaching there. For what that is worth.

I think a good fit for MSU…

I think a good fit for MSU would be Shawn Clark of App State. He has history in the midwest, he has coached in the Big Ten as an O-line coach at Purdue. He runs a good program.

Oh, Tuck was comin....just…

Oh, Tuck was comin....just now where MSU wanted him to.

Having lived there for 26…

Having lived there for 26 years, I'd wager Springfield, Illinois is more represented than Detroit. Things may have changed in the last 10 years, but Traverse City/Leelanau was always more of an Illinois vacation spot in my experience.

Notre Dame looked good…

Notre Dame looked good. Hartman is real but he did underthrow some deep balls that won't fly against teams with a pulse on defense.

SDSU looks decent.

USC still has trash defense. Branch is scary good. Electric with the ball in his hands. Very similar vibes to Reggie Bush. Teams that kick the ball to him will regret it more times than not. Williams looked like an average QB and appeared to be hobbling all game.  Looks a lot like last year's team that will score a lot but will have trouble with teams that can also score and play defense for 4 qtrs.

Because if we don't do…

Because if we don't do something this season, once they re-open the case after the season, they will dish out suspensions for next year.

I think we all can agree that serving the self-imposed suspensions this year vs ECU, UNLV, and Bowling Green is a much better option than next year vs Fresno St, TEXAS, and Arkansas St.

Does it suck? Yes. Biting the bullet for something stupid always sucks but sometimes you have to just do it and put it behind us. That is all this is about.

Pop Evil.

Pop Evil.

Then send said cooler to… Then send said cooler to columbus...they will know what to do with it.
basketball star ratings are…

basketball star ratings are wild. as a compotise 4* I watched the highlights on youtube and looked for entire game videos and never saw him use his left hand once. he drives left but takes some contorted right reverse handed layup. that wont work in D1 basketball. its something he can learn and work on, but he will definitely be a project player.

looks to have high IQ and plays tough. slow developing shot from the outside. looks to have a good mid range pull up and a relatively quick first step and can play through contact. will be interesting to see how he develops.

Jacoby Windmon had an INT in…

Jacoby Windmon had an INT in the 1st qtr of the Wisconsin game.

MSU had 2 on the season. Yikes.

Just got out of work…

Just got out of work. Heading there soon from Hershey. I won't get there until about 7.

Finally a good thing about…

Finally a good thing about living near Hershey, PA. Get to see the game tomorrow in person as its only an hour drive to Allentown.

Unfortunately, he reminds me…

Unfortunately, he reminds me a lot of brandon johns jr. and kam chatman, loads of physical talent and potential that might someday "click" but very little basketball IQ and just looks lost during stretches of the game. Chatman found it eventually at Detroit Mercy, but he just looked overwhelmed at Michigan with tiny flashes of "why cant you do this more often kam?"

Honestly, I don't think that…

Honestly, I don't think that would be terrible as a snippet playing as they show highlights before the break on tv.

It was really bad to play in the stadium, but it's not the worst marketing song.

Derrick Walton is still…

Derrick Walton is still floating around the league finding 10 day contracts here and there. There is definitely potential for Eli.

Im confused, why would he…

Im confused, why would he not do the combine, isnt that the point of putting hos name in the draft? He can back out before the draft, if he changes his mind. I would at least go through the combine and get suggestions and advice, even if I plan to return.

That hook shot!

That hook shot!

Frankie Collins stepping in…

Frankie Collins stepping in big again. It may not have been visible on the box score, but he did work all game.

Perhaps KenPom agrees with…

Perhaps KenPom agrees with Martelli that Washington and Eisley both should be head coaches. Martelli is letting them coach the way they can and we are home so that puts UM over the top by 1.

Looking to the sideline?…

Looking to the sideline? Hell if that were the case, we beat MSU by 3 scores.

They consistently were still running onto the field in tempo situations until about Penn State. It just didn't give up touchdowns most times like it did vs MSU.

Did he meet anybody…

Did he meet anybody currently in his life in Chicago, though?

In fairness to our O-Line,…

In fairness to our O-Line, which is deserving of all of the awards they got, this GA d-line is once in a generation elite. Yes, they just reload with 5 stars, but even this group is historically good for even the SEC.
