Another new offer: 2020 in-state LB Cornell Wheeler

Submitted by Magnus on

In addition to Tre Mosley, Michigan also offered 6'0", 205 lb. Cornell Wheeler from West Bloomfield, who's in the class of 2020. His only other offer so far is from Syracuse.

I like the straight football content, but I know all this is doing is kicking off the "stars" debate so I'm sad.  I'm conflicted on clicking on these posts and conflicted on Magnus' motivation for posting them..

...I even joined this site.  What did I think I was going to get, Michigan football content or something?  And then what do I get, articles about recruits that might one day be Michigan football players.  What the hell was I thinking?!  I'm so pissed.

Since the addition of Moore & Washington, it seems as though more offers have gone out to Michigan kids over the next two cycles. Granted, those two things may have nothing to do with each other. I am curious if this is more about relationship building with key programs in the state vs. really trying to land some of these kids. Harbaugh has shown a willingness to recruit nationally. I find it hard to believe he is suddenly changing direction and will live with what ever talent the state of Michigan has to offer to fill up a class.

Well, they always had but seem to be cutting a wider path with these late movements. These young men, if good enough to get on the field, will play their hearts out for the maize and blue. Love these kids that are a little smaller, little slower. They do seem to make up for it
