I've never understood why MSU people think once you go to a different school than you've been rooting for your entire life you HAVE drop them because you're giving this new school a bunch of money. Makes sense.

Two degrees from CMU but my heart belongs to Michigan....although I did attend Michigan for a couple years before dropping out!

Went to an out-of-state private school for undergrad and was offered a full scholarship to MSU College of Law that I could not turn down.  I got season tickets to MSU while I was there and still have them because 50 yard line seats for law students and alumni are ridiculously cheap.  I only go to the Michigan games and wear my Tom Brady jersey every time.

I grew up rooting for Michigan and never felt the slightest temptation to switch allegiances in law school even though I had every reason to do so (my law school stint aligned with Rich Rod's tenure).  Every time I tell a Sparty their head does in fact explode.  Brian's piece a while back explaining why MSU fans don't get it was spot on.

You will be glad of having MSU grads around, as the school has educated so many of our state's teachers and veternarians.  I give them credit for that.

Grew up rooting for Michigan. I went to Purdue to study engineering and physics. I was waitlisted at Michigan. Purdue offered me a scholarship. By the time I was accepted at Michigan, I had aldready made a decision to take the scholarship. It's all good. I went to Michigan for two masters degrees.
