Wish I could donate but driving down in the middle of the week from Mt. Pleasant just to donate blood probably isn't going to work out. Everyone who can donate and is in the area needs to get there though!

...post the link (redcrossblood.org, sponsor code "goblue") on your twitter or fb. Thanks for the help!

For all the Michigan faithful out there that live closer to Columbus than AA. Here are the permanent donation centers around the area:
http://www.redcrossblood.org/donation-centers/centralohio
There are also several drives on OSU's campus next week, call 1-800-RED CROSS to set up an appointment.
I love strolling onto campus in my maize and blue and watch them scoff as I sign up to donate to the good guys!

No, no, no. If donate at a drive on OSU's campus, your blood goes to OSU's total, and not Michigan's total. You can't tell them which school your blood will go to - if you donate on Michigan's campus, it goes to Michigan's total; if you donate on OSU's campus, it goes to OSU's total. The Red Cross cannot handle something that complicated.
Nevertheless, everybody who is in Ann Arbor should try and donate. We've beaten them 3 years in a row, and we need to keep the streak alive.
If you are in Columbus, you should just donate after The Game.

I have several good friends working on blood battle, and one of them told a brief story of how a guy asked her if he could donate for TSIO. She promptly informed him that any donations on Michigans campus would go to our total.
So, if you can avoid donating blood in Columbus (preferably come to Ann Arbor!) then do it. However, I don't want to seem like I'm trying to disuade people from giving blood—because I'm not—just do it at a regular red cross in the columbus area, not one associated with blood battle.

Exactly. If you're around Columbus and you're donating blood today or tomorrow, you're essentially aiding the buckeyes and you shall be stoned on this board from this day forth. Please withhold donating blood in Columbus until next week. Thanks for the catch, DeadMan.

OSU's Blood Battle drives last until next Wednesday, I believe. To be safe, I would just wait until after the Game to donate in Columbus.

I'm not aware of OSU's donation schdule. I think you're right-- to be safe, I would wait until after THE GAME to donate.

Thanks, everyone for your input on this. Please give! It's a great cause, and we've beaten them soundly the last two years (especially when you take into account that they have about 20% more people on campus (faculty/staff/students) and a considerably bigger metro area than A2! My wife's a trauma nurse. She's told me in no uncertain terms how donated blood saves lives.
The posters above are right. If you give at Michigan it counts for Michigan, and if you give in Columbus it counts there, so please do give if you're in Columbus, but don't do it at one of their blood battle drives!
